  1. I kinda like the A-TACS one personally, look pretty slick. Just to bad they used a black color based ACR, it's gonna age pretty badly with the hydro transfer thingy on top. A DE would have made much more sense, for both MC and A-TACS.
  2. Glad it looks RS, but to be honest the magnifier is an 3x Eotech replica from Land Arms (Chinese), although the optics are actually pretty nice with clear and very good focus. The red dot itself could be considered "RS" I guess since some people use it on actual firearms. It's from BSA Optics and I just spray painted the top cover to DE. http://www.bsaoptics.com/ Cheers
  3. Very nice. I still prefer the polymer one though somehow Some pics of my setup now, since I never posted any before! My baby
  4. So yeah, changing the hophup to the Guarder 50% and using 0.25g made night and day for me. Went from spraying the 20m target with 1/30 hit to something like 2/3. Very satisfied with that. On the other hand, the ACR did lock up again, for what AnakChan said, the spring was a cut one, and somehow maybe not properly installed (although I was able to install springs on my Tavor via the same way without any problem). So I replaced it for a System irregular pitch 1J, which brings the output to a ~0.86J, which is lower than the spring I was having lock up with (was around 0.94J), and somehow it s
  5. Still have room for the battery in there though? Looks like much less space for it with RS.
  6. Dstole fixed it! Hail the king! ^^
  7. Nah, looks cool, I like it! ^^
  8. I think he lost it... that's probably why he's asking for a new one Pretty hard to find a FDE piece of polymer on a field :-/
  9. Yeah, I was playing with 0.20, maybe I should try 0.25, this might help a bit. But on the other hand, I've been using the ARES Tavor with 0.20 since it was first released, and it's deadly accurate, so it's not just the ARES hophup+0.20. Anyway, Guarder incoming soon, I'll give a feedback when once I field it again.
  10. I think it's the 50% everyone advised to use. Guarder seems to only have two, a 50% transparent and a 70% black. http://www.wgcshop.com/wgc2008/main/product_detail1.php?search_From=searchItem&item=GD-PT-GE0701&search=searchItem&rs=guarder%20bucking&catid=&cat=
  11. First fielding for me yesterday, the hophup was acting up, I think because of the lube still in there, after a thousand BBs is started setting up a little better but still not awesome. Then at the very end of the day it locked up... with a spring less powerful than the stock's one... Battery was still way full, so no idea why it happened. Already ordered the guarder bucking, we'll see how this helps.
  12. Yeah, it's a known fact, only in the UK can you get AEGs that won't blow up in your hands, the rest of the world is still at the Medieval Ages trying to make reliable AEGs with stones and strings. Thanks God UK made the RoHS standard so the rest of the world can try making their own, reliable, AEGs. PS: my computer is catching fire as I write since it was made in Japan. /sarcasm off (nothing against UK, but mightiestar is obviously a serious troll or has a serious case of head up his but*, and since RoHS is UK only, I had to mention it)
  13. Only if you want to put a 11.1v lipo in it, which is a little much imho. Else, it won't fix anything at all... like, really not at all. The piston has nothing to do with any of the other problems mentioned.
  14. Anakchan did put a fancy mosfet in there, was perfectly sized and worked well when I tried it. What do you want to know though? I'm sure Anakchan will pop by soon and explain fully.
  15. Fair enough, the difference of power output probably plays a lot in the stress applied to the internals. Masada wise, I've read people complaining about internal issues as well, but as of "stock", they still sound pretty rare, it sounds more linked to people actually trying to change the power output or internal parts and encountering issues after that. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a big ARES fan particularly, and I'd choose a G&P over theirs any time, but on my part, and with the several games I put into it, my Tavor held pretty nicely so far, reliably. Aside of that damn semi of c
