  1. The MP5 is steel. Not aluminum.

Bluing technique with motor oil will serve as protection for the gun.

For an airsoft gun, this will suffice.

The Mp5 is a great shooter, since it is not shooting real rounds but airsoft bbs. As long as the rails inside are smooth with the bolt carrier, everything will remain perfect functionality.

I don't doubt this.I just say it looks strange to my yes.

    :-)

  2. When I was serving my time in the army I saw quite a few G-3A3s that were pinky, redish (due to oxidization)  or even bare metal due

to extraordinary use of force in the cleaning process.

It was a funny thing to see but it was also a NO-NO.These weapons were given only to new recruits and were not good for shooting.

So...I made a connection in my head that any bare metal gun is not good for shooting...I actually don't like'em although I find them

    interesting.

  3. I'd use the trijicon because I can.

That's how I look at most things... Why anything? Because we can.

Why am I using a flashlight forearm worth more than the gun? Because I can...

I think its better than every other flashlight forearm I'll ever see on any airsoft MP5, and just like him I'll be *fruitcage*ed right off when it gets shot up!

    Lol.

    AP.

It's not a matter of ability but of priorities.Anyway...

Each person has it's opinion. Not bad for me.

  4. They are work diffirent way. Your need to charge them before use. Tritium are already charger for 12 years. Here is a quote from Nitesighters:

Nitesiters - Need exposure to light, $12, work "many hours".

Tritium - No exposure, $60, 12 years of non-stop work.

You are 100% right but again with nitesighters you can have more than one guns ready to "work" at night while with trijicon you need sets of sights

for each of them. And the price for a trijicon is not just 60$ it's about 110-160 for most of their iron sights. For a real steel user it's acceptable but for

    an airsofter??

  5. Bought mine when they came out first, don't really shoot it much but have put a good 1000 rounds through it and its still in perfect condition, my 2 mags are leak free as well.

Have you mod the mags using the follower or it was preinstalled?

If you didn't then this might be the reason you have no leaks.

  6. The gun is not very accurate...my stock Marui P226E2 is much more accurate in longer distances. Given that I use it for indoor games, it does the job well.

I installed an H&K "F" stock. You slightly shorten the buffer...about 1mm. Just file it down. I did it anyway so the bolt locks out easier, otherwise it prevents it the cocking tube from going all the way back.

The only modification I've done is the Azimuth nozzle and magazine followers. Otherwise, it's 100% stock and works ok. Mine came with two recoil springs, one weaker than the other. I use only the weaker one. It's also the semi-auto only model which doesn't destroy the stock bolt carrier. Out of four magazines, I had to replace the base plate gasket on two...it completely failed.

I was thinking of something cheaper than VFC's stock.  :D

  7. You dont need to replace any of the internals of a WE. They actually work out of the box with good range, accuracy and reliablity. Especially since WEs can fire further than 30ft within a 10ft grouping....

    10 feet grouping?

How can a grouping with spread of 10 feet be good even for a distance of 30 feet?

    Do you mean 1 foot?

    And another quesion...

Did anybody try to install a collapsible stock other than VFC's?

Is the MP-5 compatible with any other stock and if yes with what

    kind of modifications?

  8. I just don't know why manufacturers make these awesome guns, but don't make them indestructible... I guess it's because they know people will pay for parts to fix them... it's a money hog... I guess that makes the manufacturers the winners of this... And if they make the perfect one, why would they make a newer version?

Even the biggest worlwide companies follow this strategy...A classic example is Apple...
