  1. Ain't that the truth. It's mostly an optical illusion, though the DD M4 RISII is designed to hold the front of the M203 about 1mm from the barrel for a true free float. You can see the mounting tabs on the far left, they bolt to the inside of the RIS and swivel up out of the way when the lower rail is used. The gap between the side rail and launcher handguard measures parallel. It's on a chopped down RIS mount and held together with bad decisions (mostly Superglue). The launcher is straight, I assure you! The M203 is kinda the whole point of the M4 RIS II
  2. Thanks for the info Darklite. The mags are Cyma brand, and it feeds just fine with an 11.1V lipo; the ROF is good but not extreme. To me it felt like it really needed that extra voltage to come alive with the stiff spring and torquey motor.
  3. Is this what we've been waiting for? http://www.bbdragon.com.tw/product_info.php/products_id/2602
  4. Nice gun; shame about the sight though. I took one of mine apart and painted it with Alumahyde to match my tan VFC rear sight; it came out pretty nice IMHO. While I'm here:
  5. Thanks for the review. I couldn't find much information online before buying mine; seems like they are just now coming back in stock after selling out a small first run. Evike sells these with no battery and charger, so I promptly changed it to Dean's. After trying various batteries it became clear that it would need an 11.1v lipo for the desired trigger response (this little gun has quite a heavy spring, mine shot 350 out of the box). The battery compartment is very narrow and I discovered that most AK sticks will not fit, eventually I found this absolutely tiny Firefox battery that
  6. Looks familiar.... Nice work though.
  7. That G3 is so nice I almost hate to pollute this thread, but:
  8. Black A1 grip and CQD sling mounts?
  9. Thanks! More that I care to admit, but it was custom built and I've pimped it significantly. Put it this way: you can get a basic engine kit for around the price of a clone AEG, but a nice vintage style bike with motor mounts and a custom tank is more like PTW money.
  10. I was afraid it would turn out to be custom made. So when are you going to add a shortened MOE fore end?
  11. Is that a buffer tube adapter for a side-folder? I'd like a different stock for my AK-105 and don't really know where to start.
  12. I'm not allowing myself to ride superbikes on the street anymore, so for puttering around town I use this beast. Four furious horsepower!
  13. Nice work Snigel--I'm jealous. I submit my humble "contractor's" AK-104, just waiting for an Insight MRDS:
  14. A bit late, I know, but that's one of the most bad *albatross* helmet set ups I've seen. Thanks! I wore it for a few hours of MOUT this past weekend and it wasn't too bad. I'm still not sure about the goggles though--even though the X800 never fogged up, once the sweat builds up in the helmet foam and on the rubber seal it somehow trickles down the back of the lens. I might try to find a set of the "thermal" double wall lenses for my old ESS Profile NVGs.
  15. I rigged up my trusty King Arms Wasatch for upcoming MOUT and thought it was pic-worthy: Esstac Kydex inserts are amazing, in this case they keep the vest from becoming slack as you remove the mags that wrap around the front plate. You can also draw and reinsert one-handed: Beacon, HSGI pad, and homemade sling: I normally have a MAP pack on the back, but today realism goes out the window so I can carry my 40mm pistol and a couple of Thunder Bs for the breaching stack. Yes, I can draw the launcher quickly: With the inserts installed I car
  16. I just use a normal pistol loader, line it up at the top of the feed lips, and use my thumb and finger on the front and back of the feed lips as a guide.
  17. I took my closed-bolt PDW (RA-tech NPAS,, stinger, barrel) out for a test this past weekend, and the BBs were hooking wildly to the left. Then the nozzle snapped. So I'm ordering the open bolt kit (short) and conversion kits for all my M4 mags. Is there a consensus on the "best" inner barrel for the short open bolt?
  18. Spied a player's kit on Ehobby Asia with a new type of shell for the Thunder B: It looks like metal caps that thread onto a new "Left Hand There" plastic shell. There's a photo of replacement shells on the Hakkotsu site:
  19. Looks like the kit replaces the entire trigger group; I wonder if the M4 will follow suit?
  20. They're both cheap fakes. The mounted Eotech is a newer ACM no-name version from Shooter. It has a rubbery goldish brown finish; I sprayed the hood Coyote without too much forethought because it had a typo. The sand 553 is from EBB and came in a G&P box.
  21. Whoops; I meant UR-tactical OPS pants. I got the range vest from Ebay; it's not Pantac but it's much nicer than the EBB version was. Not sure who made it.
  22. I got mine from PT Helmets, which looks to be the same outfit. They make each helmet to order, and if you aren't military you start out in the back of a long queue. If you're in a rush I think TNVC has a ready-to-ship stock of the same lids.
  23. Range vest, BFG pouches, OPS-core pants. The 5.11 combat shirt and Condor mesh cap are really nice for the money.
  24. Block 2 MK18 and M4 complete:
