EBR is pretty much done; might do a different suppressor and VFG.
  2. The visor is meant for a specific helmet, not the FAST bump, so it would need custom brackets for the hinge points. All I've done is pry the foam lining at the front of my FAST bump out and wedge the lens firmly between that and the outer shell. There's no "seal" at the bottom, so an overscrupulous game official could disallow it on that basis, but due to the size of the visor and overlap with my face mask there's no path a BB could take to reach an eye. I'd have no qualms using it IF the lens was capable of stopping BBs, and to that end I bought a spare for destructive testing. I wa
  3. Rear BUIS showed up today, along with an MVG to replace the RVG:
  4. Stuck an Emerson visor on my bump helmet: I suck at photography, but once my face is in there the mask lines right up with the eyeshield.
  5. I just painted mine too (anthracite plasti-dip): Since I've still got the Stag I alternate between driving this from Honda's zenith and #20 from "The 50 Worst Cars of All Time". Still, the Triumph has its charms--a handy backseat, a much bigger boot, and a sense of relieved achievement when arriving at your destination that the S2000 just can't deliver. Plus no one attempts to drag race me at every light, and I can smoke cigars in it with oblivion. .
  6. I got the fake one in today having waited for it to show up at from PX Airsoft (can't STAND Aliexpress); I'm pretty happy with it overall. Looks good, the dot is nice and bright, buttons and adjustment work well. In the negative column it's more of a tight cluster than a single sharp dot, there's a rather large vertical parallax, it's pot metal heavy, and really could use a (44mm?) killflash--the big reflection up front is going to get me shot.
  7. Yes, I thought the "N" was an "11" at first.
  8. Finally got an everyday pocketknife I'm happy with--a Viper Keeper: Size and weight are right in the sweet spot, and the blade guards work as both a flipper and "wave feature".
  9. Found a place to stick my Fusion mount:
  10. Do you have matching tattoos?

  12. Goal: moderate weight, fast-access loadout to support a full day's fighting for rifleman, CQC, or DM roles on a single harness: KYWI inserts hold 6x PMAGs or 4x M14 mags, plus 4 integrated elastic for pistol mags, multitool, or speed loaders. Grey Ghost pack adapted to form the back of the rig. I'm a big fan of high-riding drop holsters, but the XDM compact on a TAG chest panel has proven to be more accessible in airsoft scenarios, particularly prone or behind low cover. I've been sticking an EGL dump pouch on my trouser belt, but with fast-insert pouches I usually don't deploy it

It's not a bad gun, but the motor seems slow even with 11.1V at the low (around 1.2J) stock power level. The airseal is poor at the nozzle and piston head, but I can't say if it would make more power with just better seals since I did all the work at once--the V7 is a pain to reassemble and I don't plan on opening it again. Guts: Ultra torque long motor (FYI, the collar must be removed to fit the cage), 14 steel tooth piston (no 2nd tooth), piston head, nozzle, M140 spring, 21:1 gears--all from SHS. The stock cylinder and cylinder head were reused, with sorbothane in place of the rubb

Cyma based EBR: After replacing most of the internals I'm finally satisfied with the performance. There's an HK battle grip on the way, and I'd prefer nicer rings, other than that it's complete.

New bipod for my new EBR.
  16. So they could Superglue the orange FH on, probably.
  17. Mines a DD, so I bought some creature comfort stuff--phone holder, radio, sub box, and JL components+Dynamat for the doors. It sounds pretty good for a convertible now, IMHO. It came with a dual exhaust installed (forget who makes it), and after going back and forth a few times I decided to leave the silencers in despite the noticeable power drop--it's just way too loud and obnoxious. I did get an intake kit, which makes a very pleasant growl:
  18. Russian weapon guys: is there an SVD height rail mount (or 30mm rings) with an airsoft friendly price tag?
  19. Picked it up this morning and spent the entire day burning fuel; still can't wipe the grin off my face. I stopped in Evike and managed to squeeze a huge M200 in the tiny trunk (today is impulse indulgence day), but for staging areas down rocky dirt paths there's always my other car, AKA my girlfriend's car. What I DON'T like is how the S2K attracts aggressive idiot drivers like a moth to a flame, even on a crowded freeway. I used to have a Saleen speedster that was a real douche magnet, but so far this is worse.
  20. I went out to buy a nice quiet Civic and somehow this happened:
  21. Where did you pick up the polymer furniture RPK? The only ones I could find in the states include the Echo1 idiot tax. Added an Element grip, Dboys top cover and upper handguard, and stained some Cyma RPK midcaps.
  22. It's a Cyma CM045; the foregrip is LCT.
  23. $150 is probably the most I'd spend on a pocketknife, so I'm eyeing the 0556, but if the Cryo II comes out first it's going to be a tough sell.
  24. Supposedly Russian surplus "skeleton" holster, $5 shipped on Ebay (hooray for people who can't spell Tokarev correctly). I removed one of the grenade pouches to make room for it; might not be 100% accurate for an insurgent loadout, but I needed something safe to use indoors. Any suggestions for improvement?
