  1. Is fitting a Guarder kit on a TM 1911 really THAT bad?

      See I've got an ABS Strike Warrior for winter use, so gas efficiency isn't a huge concern - I'm aware it'll suffer a fair bit with the metal kit, but I've got 2 strike warriors and the National Match kit is awfully tempting..

       

      Any ideas as to what/where usually needs filing and fettling? I'm assuming slide rails and the like?

      Yeah, that's basically it. A few seconds with a steel file did the trick for me. I think it's whatever coating (and its very nice) that Guarder applied that adds a little extra thickness.

       

      You could also have the magwell milled out to accept CO2 mags

      That sounds alright to me - I'd heard horror stories of nothing fitting from a few years ago, but all I can find recently is the kits are almost a drop in. Good to know, cheers man.
