GHK drop in box could be crammed into a Galil surely? Maybe not perfect but I'm sure you could make a fun attempt at it with a CYMA or something? To be honest, I'm already sold on the GHK due to the availability of parts and AEG bucking/barrel setup. Plus, with 4 mags, 8" steel outer/inner barrel setup (total swappable system with the 10"), it's coming in an £290 + Shipping... arousing.

The drop in box could, I'm just wondering if with some modding I can get the GBB mech into my AEG receiver. It's the right 'style' so I may have to drill a few bits here and there, otherwise, could try transplnting the furniture from the AEG to the GBB somehow.

I am sure you could stuff a Daytonagun engine in there, but I guess you have thought about that already and the line/tubing is a no go?
