I'm going to get killed for this, but; Other than the new gen recoil versions, TM AEG's are way, way too expensive for what they are.

another good example is tm g3sg1 around £270 for something thats totaly plastic and creaks all the time. as said there under powered but internals make up for it there pritty reliable so you know ur cash is pritty safe. There Pistols are still value for money though. I just feel TM is falling behind in the times lately with not that many new guns coming out
-
If anything, TM are way ahead of the times with the EBBRs, most people just don't want to move on, mostly because of the high costs and (comparative) total lack of after-market support. The reason they don't make that many releases is because they put the time and effort in to making everything they do release reliable and high quality.
-
Yes, they're EBBs are great. Sadly their normal AEGs are a bit behind. And it's nothing to do with Japan's low power limits either, there's no reason why they couldn't make a Real Sword quality AK that fired at 300 fps. They just don't, I guess in Japan they must be considered the budget option.

I have had ok experiences with the NBs but not worth the price I find. And yes I do need more arms or a Matrix inspired loadout.
-
Wild: Guarder gearsets are notorious for having compatibility issues with anything besides a TM spec gearbox. Try the SHS m14 gearsets.
-
I would have got the SHS set, but they were out of stock.

Seriously, someone just buy this f!@*ing Mp5 off me. Up yours, non-existent second hand market.

You can move easier and be lighter with a SUPERDYNAMIC MAGPUL AS ALL HELL ULTRACARBINE. I am walking proof.
-
I have no Magpul, in fact my pistols come from an era of either swanky suits and classic cars or 80's cheese and sockless loafers

Airsoft hipster are you FK??

Thankyou, aftermarket companies, for not supporting probably the best GIM M4 system available. Really, thanks. I will miss you LM4

Well, 2 of the main 3 competing designs (WE and WA type) have already vast aftermarket support. Perhaps the companies don't care to spend anymore R&D on gas stuff?
-
That's why I'm going with WE really; It's a shame, because despite the KWA being one of the best designs, it's received no support because everyone has already gone with the WA/WE system.. Bah.
-
Kinda of reminds me as to why I don't bother buying that PPK/S I have always wanted, no aftermarket support and getting spares would be a *badgeress*.
-
Maybe it's just me, but PatrolBase's 'Airsoft women' photo competition is really pissing me off.

Wait doesn't this lead to another spetsnazdave87 mankini pic? Oh *suitcase* now I have said it

Controversial thing of the day; KSC/KWA pistols are incapable of being accurate past 15 metres at best.
- Show previous comments 21 more
-
Of course but like with Marushins i have yet to have a good KSC / KWA gun that i wanted to keep which is a shame really.
-
I just typed a detailed comment about this, but the forum cut off most of it; So. I don't believe KSC or KWA pistols will hit anything past 15 metres consistently, on any brand or weight of ammo. I flat out don't believe it.
-
I've owned at least 10, tried every weight of ammo and several mods. It just doesn't happen, except maybe for the odd few shots on a good day. They won't go in the same place twice, ever.

Never had that issue myself, but then I just sell pistols and not that many. I see what you mean for somethings though.

In winter use MAPP. Personally I think some people are just unrealistic when it comes to rifle sales. If you want a hobby that pays try pearl farming or gold panning.
-
I just try to minimise my losses, I'm not actively trying to make a profit on second hand sales.

Rioting 5 minute drive from my house. Nice.

they should allow the use of live ammunition, most of the rioters are a waste of space and wil never amount to anything more than a benefits claim anyway...
-
Can't help thinking that we wouldn't have all this trouble if Gene Hunt were here. Somebody give him his search warrant!
-
Also had rioting in nottingham last night petrol bombs thrown at a local police station in the st ann's area( bad/rough area with hi gun use armed police patrol on foot usualy) and 30 people tried breaking into the local shopping centre which is Victoria shopping centre but they couldnt get in

So if I want to lower the price of something I'm selling on ZeroIn, I have to wait 3 days. Genius...
- Show previous comments 12 more

The only thing you can do is close the thread, like in the event of a sale. However, if you want to drop the price by a reasonable amount, then you'll have to wait for 3 long days, in chinch time you might as well just bump the thread back to the top! Stupid really. If your in a hurry and are willing to price down more rapidly than those with more time then your stuffed.
-
Closing the thread doesn't work, idiots still PM you. Plus on there if you make one single error they kick you off as they are too stupid to talk it all out.
-
True, you do get some people unable to read/see the big 'Closed' sign, for most this would indicate something important, like the thread is 'Closed' i.e.
items sold or withdrawn. There are some though that this fact manages to stretch beyond their comprehension!

My Army 1911 is at least 20% more gas efficient than my old TM/Hurricane Mike Cripps built Kimber. LOL.

My idea of plinking is transition drills, setting up IPSC style coke can courses, drawing from concealment... Essentially I spend an hour or two every few evenings boss'ing my way around the house, heh. Definitely helps in games 'n all. Still, it's going to be skirmished and skirmished hard, so once I've had it a bit longer I'll get some impressions up with regards to any failures or wear etc.
Mike, what was bad about your hop, just the rubber?
-
Nice. Too bad i still haven't found a local posh farmer to hire land off of for that yet
Still good to hear how well it does after a three month period, maybe like my tank of a 1911A1 that just refuses to die, it has funny moments but it is old, well used and pretty much gets abused too much.
-
No, the hop-up arm was bent too much and caused the BBs to curve significantly right ("significantly" as in at least a foot at 10ft distance). After bending it back to 90 degrees, it's working correctly ever since.
Now I'm thinking about expanding my collection, as I'm the unofficial armorer of a local photography hobby group ("Do I have to bring a duffle full of guns again?" - "Of course, what did you expect?!"). There are some things I'd like...

I know for a fact some units of the BTP have been issued LMT MRP's in 5.56 - I'd be finding one of those as soon as the apocalypse kicked off
-
I did a lot of research into .22 vs .223. Looked at autopsy stuff, crime reports e.t.c. IMO, you would be foolish to pick .22 Sure, lighter weight for more rounds but it's simply not worth it. Add to that fact you will most likely be fighting human survivors with potential armour depending on your location. And over in the UK at least, 5.56 is more common. Sure legal .22 rifles and ammo will outnumber .223 but I'd be willing to bet 95% of that stuff will be safely locked up in gu...
-
I can definitely respect wanting a bigger round to deal with the undead menace. Also, a .22 pistol may as well be an airsoft gun for the good it would do at ranges past arm length.
Personally, I'd carry my shotgun. Lots of ammo, lots of power, lots of intimidation factor.

Payday. Anyone selling anything TM and 1911 flavoured?
- Show previous comments 11 more
-
Ha, I honestly can't say, but I imagine it'll be the case among anyone selling an MEU for less than about £150.
-
Very true, buying TM pistols is getting worse and worse, luckily the mags are not yet above the £30 mark.
-
well as it happens, I has MEU mr howararararagan
May be tempted to sell it to you. May.

On ZeroOne, a 'Customer review' states that utterly appalling King Arms WAM4 mags are the best he has used in his WEM4. Seems legit.
- Show previous comments 11 more
-
Btw. guise, did you know that TM P226 mags also work in the Magpul PDR?
-
Yes, but when you start getting an AR to feed 1911 mags you are on to a winner. Seriously TM 1911 mags fit the latest WE M4.

I honestly murderously hate people who can't hack the fact GBBR's are totally practical skirmish weapons.
- Show previous comments 10 more
-
As something designed to put BB's out of the barrel, I can agree with that. In my experience though, not including cold weather, my GBBR's have been more reliable in the field. I've had AEG trigger contacts burn out on me, gearbox lockups and motor connectors work loose, as well as overheated motors and other things. I'm more confident in my GBBR putting a round out when I pull the trigger than an AEG, even if an AEG can throw out (an unncessary amount) more in a shorter space of time.
-
I would love to agree but I havent skirmished mine yet it needs a *fruitcage* ton of work doing.
-
What make and model is it? The key is stick to stock manufacturer stuff other than the hop or unless there's a serious design flaw!

Found a TM 5.1 barrel, and thought 'Why not'... Combined it with the AIP Bucking in the Army National Match... Goodbye, TM, it seems we're parting ways.

I've owned in the region of 20 TM pistols, some stock, some with various upgrades, including 5-6 1911's and a couple of Hicapa's, over several years, a couple with metal slides or whole metal kits. This thing IS, not might be, IS, factually better than my HurricanE kitted, professionally installed £458 Kimber TEII. It's more gas efficient, the slide is snappier, the action is smoother, and the parts are a better fit. The trigger even has a cleaner break and it came out the box...
-
The hurricane TEII kit is factually better than the army metal body, in both construction and fit. I'm unsure where you got your kit installed, but by no means should it be worse than the army standard metal bodies. The gas efficiency does not come from the metal body (unless you're referring by weight, the lighter the better and in that respect both are heavy alloy aluminum). And the cleanness of the trigger shouldn't be affected at all by the MBK.
-
I didn't say the kit; I was referring to the gun as a whole. For the record, the TEII kit was on a TM MEU, fitted by Mike Cripps of ESS. What I'm saying is, the Army gun is a better performing and shooting piece than my particular TEII was. However, the Army gun, including the quality of the slide and frame, is entirely on a par with HurricanE's effort.

Is the ridiculously overpriced Nineball REALLY the only option for a 1911 threaded barrel?
- Show previous comments 9 more

PDI makes an adapter, but it basically just grub screws into the inner barrel.

Inner barrel or outer? Considering a TM plastic barrel and the TK self cutting thread adaptor... Any ideas if that'll work?

Inner.

Fully TM compatible apparently, including TM mags. Not sure who the OEM is, but they're entirely TM system as opposed to the WE hybrid.

Apologies - That should have read activities.

Point is, whether he's legally a traitor or not doesn't really matter, he still is one - He's betrayed his own country for personal gain, that's the long and short of the story.
-
I'm not sure that's the case. Is there any evidence of him doing this for personal gain so far? He's made it very clear in his interviews so far that he's thrown away everything in his life to do this. I'm glad he became a 'traitor', so to speak, to get evidence of what was happening and what could happen into the public light. It's generating a lot of important discussion. I think it's going to get a lot more interesting in the next few weeks.
Assange is still a c**t though
