  1. Tried to use my LM4 yesterday, and unfortunately it doesn't work in 2-3 Centigrade... It'll work for a minute or two after removing a mag from the comparative warmth of my chest rig and cycle alright, but after being out for about 3-4 minutes, the gun will fire the BB but not blow the bolt back, and the magazine continues to hiss slightly until you rack the charging handle, which then allows the bolt to cycle.. I think from now on I'm probably going to stick to indoor sites in December/January; It works alright around 7-8C ambient temperature, but much lower than that and it refuses to functio
  2. See, I would have done the sideways cool thing, but unfortunately I am bound by the physics of Hopup
  3. LandWarrior have them in stock at the moment for £43.99 - Not sure how many, but they're the ones emperor mentions, and mine are all solid. Get a KWA/KSC valve key while you're at it, as sometimes the striker valve requires tightening OOTB (one of mine did, 30 second fix). I'd wait for the Mega Arms version 'n all though, unless you're likely to want 2 of them. I'm ordering me the MA version the very second I humanly can, but I'll still be keeping the original, and I'll probably pick up a PTS version when funds allow at a later date...
  4. Neither can I, that and the fact it looks like a religious vision to me.
  5. New foliage green ATACS. I've got the shirt 'n all, but it was raining hence the softshell. Really impressed with it so far, it's excellent for green areas.
  6. I'd say go for it, especially in the US. I've had first hand experience of all the major GBBR platforms (Except the KJW), and the KWA hands down wins in my opinion. It's very reasonably priced for what it is, has steel parts in all the necessary places, a grin-inducing kick, a very well thought out design and easy to work on magazines, if you need to work on them at all. I had a G&P WOC for a year, and whilst it was fantastic, I can't help but feel I got slightly lucky. Even then, the magwell required a bit of electrical tape to keep the magazines sitting properly and feeding correctly
  7. I wouldn't mind the 3 piece upper if it wasn't for the wobble in the rail; I'm about to attempt Akira's fix for that, but it is a little irritating. Not a deal breaker at all, and it's not like Airsoft guns are accurate enough for it to have much of a noticeable effect, but a one piece upper would just be even more of a reason to buy the MA carbine. Not like I need more reasons, it's an LM4 and it looks hella badass. That's entirely reason enough for me
  8. Thanks for the info! Since buying my LM4 I'm thoroughly converted to the KWA system, and the Mega Arms Carbine really does look awesome. The only minor gripe besides the upper receiver rail I can find on my LM4 is the KWA trademarks, and I've learned to live with those. The MA receiver looks all kinds of awesome, and I've already got mags. I'm a sucker for nice marks and detailing, and the MA carbine is covered in both, so I'm ridiculously excited.
  9. GBB UBR's go on LM4's, as long as it's a genuine PTS one, people have had issues fitting clone ones from what I've seen on t'interwebs.
  10. Well at LandWarrior, the standard LM4 was £365, and the PTS was £490... I can see it being on the unfortunate side of £600... Still, considering mine tallies up to: LM4 - £365 Rail - £100 MOE Stock - £60 MOE Grip - £25 BUIS - £15 Which makes £565. If you're after a plain-jane M4 or one with a few basic bits, it won't be a good idea. But personally I'd be quite happy to pay £6-700 for what you get with the package, assuming the complete rifle has the same specs as the one pictured.
  11. It will be the best decision you'll make this year man, it really is an awesome platform.
  12. I'm sure I'll get the same answer as PTS provided... But when's it out?
  13. Thanks man, I'll give it a go this evening; Is the rail difficult to remove? I haven't taken the upper down yet so I'm clueless as to the process! *edit* According to PTS (They responded within 4 minutes of my asking): Dear Richard, we don't have the detail plan at the moment! This gun is prototype only! But should be launch at 2013! ...Sweet.
  14. Holy hot-damn that looks good; Definitely picking one of those up once they're released. Where's USCM to tell us how long it'll be? To be honest if they're knocking that out as a whole gun, I might just pick up the entire thing - I get a bonus in March, and that looks like an excellent way to spend it. While I'm here, is the upper receiver rail movement anything unusual? I mean it's not flopping around or anything, but there's definitely play in it. I had to use a fair amount of force to remove the barrel nut, so I just wanted to confirm I haven't broken something; It rocks maybe
  15. Got a link dude? I can't seem to see it on the PTS FB page. *edit* Having just googled the R/S, I'm pretty much a huge fan of the idea of having 'MEGA' in big block capitals on the side of my upper. One piece construction will be nice as well, having a wobbly top receiver rail is somewhat irritating...
  16. I'd very much like to replace this suppressor with a Surefire QD, but I can't afford it at the moment. Still, suppressors flush with rails always look good. Also now with the MOE stock Bladerunner sold me, thusly saving me from paying an upsetting price for one. (Cheers dude!)
  17. I used my LM4 for a full day's game this Sunday just gone, and it gets even more impressive by the day. Range with .30's is excellent, and it's blindingly accurate. I can't see any trace of an issue with the hop-up system thus far, it was fantastic for the duration of the game on Sunday. One thing I did suffer from was a delayed blowback issue in the morning - Due to a lack of lube on the nozzle O-ring, the gun would fire the BB but fail to cycle the bolt and leave gas hissing out the mag. A quick spray of silicone oil on the O-ring sorted this out for the rest of the day, and the gun perf
  18. Just sent you a rough outline on how to take them down - They should be fixable fairly easily though! G&P Stanags are just awful, short of silicone plumbing sealant they're beyond help. As for the KWA mags, 3 out of 4 of mine are absolutely fine - One doesn't lock the bolt as positively as the other two, hence I've removed the spring from the bolt catch assembly, which has vastly improved the situation. The leaking one is literally not even holding the gas for a second, it's straight in straight out, which is annoying as I've got a game tomorrow.. When it comes to bending the bolt
  19. I'm definitely in agreement with the trigger - Once I've gotten a little more confident fiddling with things, I'm going to give Akira's trigger job a go; Knowing there's a replacement available means at least I can undo the damage if necessary. As for the mags, one of mine is literally gas in the bottom and out the top, which is a little annoying and I'm waiting on the valve key turning up in the hope that solves it. I've also fiddled with the bolt catch a bit to get it functioning more reliably (Basically akira's mod without bothering with the charging handle functionality). If it help
  20. Ahhhh seeing as you've gone and twisted my arm! You have a PM inbound dude.
  21. Hey, my WOC was reliable, it was just twice the price! Thanks man - So far I'm suitably pleased with it, the recoil is AWESOME
  22. Anything more than a 10" barrel tends to upset me! I like the look of longer barrels, I just find them awkward to use! CQBR's FTW. My previous gun was a G&P WOC, which was fantastic - However the price of getting one properly set up is extortionate, and the KWA is seemingly out of the box brilliant for a much more reasonable price... Mine still enters the 1k club thinking about it, but it's nothing compared to what a new WOC would have cost me! So far I'm extremely impressed.
  23. Heh, cheers man - And no chance, I love the M9 almost as much! Although it doesn't have as many cool buttons and clicky things attached to it.
  24. This thing kicks like a frikkin' mule. I am thoroughly in love. Haven't had a massive chance to test the hop/range thus far, but I've finished building it and the like.
