  2. The weight of the suppressor does pull the barrel down a little and it causes a bit of friction with the slide, but it's definitely nowhere near as bad as a 1911.
  3. I agree entirely, they just look menacing..I very much like suppressed Glocks as well, but 92's just have a bit more personality I reckon. Still cycles a whole mag without a problem with the silencer fitted as well, which pleasantly surprised me.
  4. I'm getting the same issue; I can circumvent it the same way as Danke has described, but I figured I'd mention it.
  5. Silenced M9A1 makes me happy to the face... Although the adapter is frikkin' ugly when the can isn't on there. Oh well.
  6. I've always had quite a good amount of success with just wearing a jacket over my chest rig - It keeps the mags at a reasonable temperature, and although it's a bit of a nuisance to reload it saves the effort of handwarmers and the like. I don't usually end up in particularly dramatic engagements as a result of my playing style either, so I've found it works quite well for me at least. Another good option is to use a chest rig and keep the mags in the pocket between the molle panel and the inside of the rig, which also traps a fair amount of heat. I'm definitely planning on doing the bolt
  7. I do like the Pmags, but I prefer the look of STANAGS with a magpul on the base; my old G&P WOC Pmags were actually metal shells, and they coped alright in the cold - I'm sure polymer mags would perform slightly better on a cold day, but they're a fair bit more expensive in the UK as well as the looks preference for STANAGS. Still, depending how good this thing is I may well end up spending my march bonus on the PTS model and I'll probably end up with a set of Pmags for that as well. Going on what I've read and seen of the KWA, it really is seeming to be a very good platform, and I can
  8. Cheers man, good to know - I don't mind keeping my mags under a coat or somewhere warm and sacrificing a bit of reload speed for functionality even if they don't like zero degrees, but they sound like they perform similarly to my old G&P Pmags, if not better, which is good news! 750g still amazes me for a Polymer shelled mag - I'm going with the STANAGS personally. 9c with a bit of vapor again sounds pretty close to my G&P, so I'm more than happy with that Was it in LWA's store room? If so, you'd better not have scuffed my gun Still, I had my WOC working on a day that
  9. G&P Pmags are about 490g, and I could deal with them alright... The KWA ones are around 580 or so right? I'm only intending to carry 5 + 1 in the gun eventually. Also, Bladerunner, have you gotten the chance to shoot much in cold British weather yet? It's hard to find an accurate conclusion as to whether these things will function on a very very cold day... I can always keep the mags under my coat if needs be, but it'd be nice to know I don't have to!
  10. LWA are listing it as having the updated hop system in the product description, so I'm fairly confident it is the new bits! Either way, I'm getting seriously excited
  11. I'm not too sure man, I'm hoping that they've got the new design in there as opposed to the old type - Far as I know they're coming from KWA USA, but I'll find out on the 25th!
  12. HURRY UP CHRISTMAS! I want my LM4.

  13. Heh, cheers - Just managed to snag the last one from LWA, so it'l actually be here for Christmas day. Nothing says festivity like a replica AR15 The 4:16 on the phone after the waking up part genuinely gave me a good chuckle... Shoulda posted the vid on the 1st of April though really!
  14. Will do, I'm planning on chucking a Madbull SWS 9.28 rail on it; Anything over a 12" barrel and I just end up beating the *suitcase* out of trees for no good reason. Still trying to decide what stock and grip are eventually gonna go on it, but the fact I can't afford a stock and grip until the end of January should save me stressing about that for now.
  15. Thanks man, that doesn't look too tough of a job. I'll remind myself to sign up to the KWA forums once it arrives 'n all. I'm used to G&P barrel nuts being extremely difficult to remove, but then they have one piece upper receivers so there isn't so much of a worry about damaging them. I'll make sure I get a vice in and go at it the sensible way rather than just plain assaulting the thing.
  16. Thanks man - I'll borrow a few clamps and ensure it's all set up correctly before attacking it with the wrench; If anyone reading the thread has any good tips or hints (precisely where to clamp the upper etc) it'd be greatly appreciated. Good plan, should have thought of that The exploded diagram confirms it does indeed have a two piece outer barrel, which is awesome news! Bring on Christmas day!
  17. Excellent, cheers for the help guys. I've dealt with glued barrel nuts before, so I should be able to overcome that and the barrel nut - And knowing the NPAS will work means I know I'll be good to get it within FPS limits. Awesome news
  18. I'm on the verge of picking up one of these instead of a new G&P for a couple of reasons, mainly the issues I'm having in actually obtaining the WOC, but also partly due to the 'Pick it up and go' nature the LM4 seems to possess; Anyone able to answer these 2 questions? A ) Does anyone know if the LM4 PTS uses a 2 piece outer barrel? If so, is it just a case of unscrewing the 4" extension and replacing the inner barrel with an appropriate length? B ) Does anyone know if KSC nozzle assemblies are compatible with the KWA? RA-Tech do a complete NPAS nozzle for the KSC, which I'd
  19. Ahh fair enough then, that is pretty warm Saying that though, the slide on the M9A1 has a fair bit of reinforcement - The slide rails are metal inserts now, and it appears to be a tougher ABS than the old glossy stuff. I obviously can't promise it won't explode, but it's definitely a much tougher design
  20. I'm not so sure, I can't see any particular reason why it would do... It doesn't have an enlarged blowback cylinder or anything. The internal design isn't far off the original M9, it's just had a bit of weight added as well as the decocker function. I mean obviously using any TM GBB in hotter temperatures than the UK is going to increase wear and tear, but the older generation of M9's seem to do okay out there, as do the 1911's/Hicapa's and others. Time will tell obviously, but I'm not seeing any reason to be worried in mine so far.
  21. Bah, too late to edit. Anyhow - Definitely has metal reinforcement on the slide catch area. The slide rails are in fact all metal, including the bit the slide catch catches.
  22. It'll be more efficient than the Deagle? As for the metal insert, I'm *almost* certain it does - I'll confirm it 100% tonight, but I'm pretty sure every TM pistol since the G17 has had a reinforced notch. Like I said though, I'll confirm it tonight
  23. Now why didn't I think of that?! Cheers for the link man, genius idea! My only slight concern would be the edges of the rail catching on the draw, but even then I guess it'd be easy enough to taper the edges. Anyhow - No, no it won't break on Propane I'm at least 3000 trigger pulls in now after Sunday's game at the mall and it's still brand new on the inside. No signs of stress or undue wear, and the railed frame kinda grows on you.
  24. I haven't had much luck finding a fitted holster for it; At the moment I'm using a Flyye Drop-leg. The IMI Roto holster for the 92/96 *looks* like it's designed to take the railed frame, but that's just going on the look of the holster.
  25. I'm unsure as to whether the KWA uses R/S pistol grips, but if it does, I used to require a thin pokey tool to adjust the hop on my WOC through a hole in the rail - I used a cut down allen key, and carried that, along with a flathead screwdriver bit for adjusting my T-1 in a little bubble wrap baggy stuffed inside an MOE grip's storage compartment. Always handy and I never managed to lose them, although the yellow cord is also an excellent idea if you don't want to go with a grip that features a storage area.
