  1. A friend of mine is using what used to be my G&P M733, 6 years after originally purchasing it. One of the old 7mm gearboxes, but other than 2 sets of trigger contacts and a motor, every mechanical part, including the piston, is original. Thing must have done over half a million rounds by now, it just refuses to stop.
  2. Worn out trigger contacts are pretty simple to fix - A bit fiddly, but assuming you know your way around a V2 gearbox it's not difficult, and replacement G&P switch sets inc. wiring are about $16 each, so not expensive either!
  3. Quick update - I'm about 1500 cycles into owning this thing, probably 1000 rounds fired and 500 dry-fires. All on Green Gas, all at room temperature of around 23-25 celsius. No alarming signs of wear, no visible damage, nada. Unless you're in a seriously hot country I can't see this thing dying on GG/Propane. It's the *fruitcage* *suitcase* tits, is what it is.
  4. Flecktarn's Customer Service really is astonishingly good. FG ATACS on the way, hurrah!

      Lederhosen, you have issues. :P.

Then again some uniforms do work, but as for Flecktarn good to hear, too bad they only have one or two items I want and the postage can be a bit high compared to what people on eBay offer. :P

I only said lederhosen because I think they're all german. Frankly I don't care what a chick is wearing, as long as she looks good not wearing it :P

That my friend is very true, you can't beat a good girl in nothing :P. And Flecktarn is a UK business, they were the first to sell Flecktarn en masse in the UK.

  5. Glad it helped man; Did you end up trying out the G&P Pmags in the end? If it helps at all, there are some not too pricey (£30-40) RS charging handles available on MidwayUK; I've got a Badger Ordnance one with an extended latch that cost £37.50 on the way for when my MRP finally gets into this country.
  6. Having fired this in daylight now, another thing I can add is that shot placement seems exceptionally consistent - Firing a double tap with this leads to the BB's following almost exactly the same flight path out to a very impressive range, more so than my previous 1911's. I'm putting this down to the noticeable lack of muzzle flip. The trigger also has a really nice and obvious breaking point, both in SA and DA mode. Another thing I'm impressed with is the ability to over-hop a .28; All the 1911's I've owned required a slight bend of the hop arm to give a lift to a .3 BB, whereas the M9A1
  7. I just picked one of these up from Wolf in an attempt to cure a hangover; I can happily say three things: 1: The TM M9A1 is an excellent hangover cure. 2: Inari has pretty much nailed it with the review - I've owned TM's old M9, and this is just leaps and bounds ahead. The heft with or without the mag is impressive, and it just overall looks better finished. Really is a far nicer feeling pistol now. The BBU Cylinder isn't as large as that of the XDM, so I don't really forsee issues with Green Gas - Time will tell of course but it seems plenty capable of hacking it. 3: Despite the old mag
  8. I think I'll go buy myself a TM M9A1 after work.

The day I use 134a is the day FireKnife stops making innuendo's! So far I'm 10 mags in on GG and all seems fine, the thing is a beast.

Every Friday is the same Hwag. The great thing is that I generally laugh at your self inflicted ailment because it usually ends up with funny Facebook statuses and funny pictures of you looking half wasted!

Actually no, I was utterly wankered last night. I have no idea why I felt the need to tell an internet forum consisting 99.8% of males that I am viciously handsome. My brain aches.

BOMBER MRP. BOMBER MRP! AN MRP THAT IS GAS AND MADE BY BOMBER AND FULL OF BITS OF STEEL AND IS AN MRP AND IS FULL OF STEEL BITS AND IS A GBB AND IS AN MRP! AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH I'm a bit happy.

Someone get that man some tissues, in fact get him stocks in kleenex!

  12. Does anyone here own the G&P/Bomber MRP? If you don't mind, I've got a few Q's need answering!

  13. Unfortunately so - The MRP outer barrel on the AEG fits differently into the receiver due to the one piece design. You could probably get one machined as it's not a hugely complicated design, but I can't imagine it being cheap. Here's a review I did way back when with some pictures 'n such: http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/182553-the-gp-lewis-machine-tool-co-monolithic-rail-platform-cqb-carbine/ *edit* Since writing that review I've actually learned I was entirely wrong and G&P have done the DI MRP, and they haven't replicated the piston system. I just g
  14. I'd agree with that - They've been selling steadily since they were released, and a lot of places are out of stock of them now. I've only seen a couple at games I've been too, which is nice, but there's definitely a fair few out there. I sold my AEG a fair while ago, which I bought the day it was released - I still miss it now. I'm currently in the process of saving for the Bomber WOC, which I'm looking forward too. The MRP is my personal favourite AR-15, it's just a tad annoying that the GBBR version costs $900...
  15. G&P make one of those with the correct trades and everything, silly movie folk.
  16. Just got Wolf's newsletter; Apparently, they have the TM Mp7 in sock. Guess it'll help with cooldown?

Teehee, so much innuendo potential for that one :P

  17. God-damn I miss my MRP, and that one is really nicely set up. What's the flashhider?
  18. Definitely not! Firing an AEG is like nailing an extremely experienced hooker; Sure, she's a bit better at what she does, but she's emotionally dead and you know touching her boobs doesn't really do anything.
  19. I miss him too, he had more money and the capability to put down covering fire
  20. I believe RacingManiac has one - Frankly the nicest looking AK I've ever seen, and he's added some R/S parts as well - Check out the AK picture thread and maybe ask him about it in there!
  21. First off, a lot of UK retailers don't like to sell GBBR's, for a couple of reasons. Firstly, they're obliged to offer a warranty. This is extremely bad for them, because every 18 year old kid who's been airsofting just long enough to get UKARA'd ends up buying a GBBR, ignoring all the information on proper maintenance and sending it back for a refund citing 'Product not fit for purpose' within a few days - In actual fact, the product is entirely fit for purpose, usually it's the customer who isn't As a result, stocking GBBR's can lead to big losses for retailers as fighting a trading standar

Nicely done, to Wikipedia for me as I hate not knowing random stuff about things :P.

  23. Another +1 for WGC, they've never been anything but flawless on the 3 orders I've made from them.
  24. SAS don't actually have it at all; They're just lying that they do so you'll buy one, and either do one of two things: 1: Wait several months, send lots of e-mails, letters and angry phone calls, and eventually give up and lose your money. 2: Wait several months, send lots of e-mails, letters and angry phone calls, keep at it, take the guy to a small claims court and get your money back, after wasting several days worth of your own life in the process. I'd recommend doing one of the following instead: Order it from an HK retailer; As long as you've got the necessary defense (Ideal
