  1. Are you talking about modifying the floating valve itself or the PDW's nozzle ? I figured as much though and ordered a couple and also a couple of spare nozzles
  2. Well about the mags they said that multiple times i believe ( at least that's what they implied ) on the youtube videos, i dunno if those are the only parts need replacing but from the photos that appears to be the case. I guess true confirmation will be when the conversion kits get out
  3. Well guessing from the PDW and G39c maybe between 370~>400fps out of the box. A few easy mods and should spring/jump to >400fps
  4. Newz: http://tw.myblog.yahoo.com/frogman-myblog/article?mid=8696 Some of the differences highlighted: Let me be the first to say, awesome ! I can still use most of the same upgrade trigger parts i have laying around for the past >1year!
  5. So no one tried to use a stronger floating valve spring ? I also got FPS/power variations improvement with the sealing Laylax VSR bucking. I just bought a few spring sets/high flow floating valves made by Silverback and ordered an extra nozzle so i'll try different setups and see how much FPS's each mod gives me. I'll be testing them with the M14 however, but it should at least shed some light on which mods result better.
  6. Why not just buying the complete hammer altogether ? They're cheap anyway http://www.airsoftbuddy.com/index_eproduct_view.php?products_id=624
  7. Well apart from the trigger cage itself everything else on the trigger assembly should be compatible with the old trigger components, so you could just buy the complete trigger assembly from RA-tech, http://en.ratech.com.tw/product/html/rag/rag_we_detail/rag_we_detail_024.php But to be honest, apart from the valve locker and firing pin base, even my very old and used M4 v1 is still using the stock trigger group ( and i even have 5 kits of CWI's steel forged trigger assemblies laying around ), although i had to mod it past the 15~20k rounds mark. You shouldn't have to worry about anyt
  8. So i heard you like M14's yes ?
  9. Just sprayed with a base of krylon tan, then soaked other colours on different types of paper ( those kitchen absorbent thingies and toilet paper, yes toilet paper ) and smeared/pressed the paper into the gun. Using different base colors will make it more suitable to various terrains, Tan base color, close up: OD base color: That's just a DIY/quick job cheek weld nothing more, no batteries here just pure GBBR awesomeness Quick family shot PS. Sorry about the ###### poor photo quality but i took them indoors, with built-in flash for teh quickness of it!
  10. BTW do you by any chance know if Prime spec'd receivers are compatible with the VFC ? Um really tempted to get a VFC and slap a Iron Soft HK 416 kit on it !
  11. Although i wasn't expecting much from the KA GBBR from what d4n told me about it, i still went ahead and asked someone to give one to me for a few days so that i could take my own conclusions. I only had it a few days but, - The externals were nice for the price and didn't had any substantial wobble from anywhere - But they were WA spec'd, so not 1:1 ( which is a deal breaker to me ) - The internal were meh, mostly weak alu and/or potmetal, don't think it would last long But the worse part was the accuracy of it, it was ###### POOR ! I was amazed how poor the accuracy and range was .
  12. There are quite a few problems that can make that happen. When you pull back the handle is the "stiffness" feeling only at the beginning or through the entire bolt travel ? Do you feel it "stiff" only when pulling it back or it also very stiff pushing it forward ? Again when you push it forward, is the stiffness throughout the entire bolt travel of just in the end ? Here's the common causes for it: Insufficient lubing on the nozzle's main o-ring If you use an NPAS, the o-ring that comes with it absorbs too much oil and swells Bent brass tube, remove the brass tube and check if
  13. That sure is an interesting statement frontal someone who a) only copy pastes other peoples opinions fails to justify is opinions and moves to the next one to escape it c) still fails to justify why the SCAR couldnt use the old trigger group when, besides the M14, the other already existant open bolt models use the old trigger group d) fails to know that the current open bolt models still use the same basic trigger group than the old closed bolt ones The only thing you do is forward other people thoughts on the matter and when you dont have them move on to the next thing. Am i
  14. So now your "logic" now is copy pasting another persons obvious opinion ? Your reasoning is astonishing lol Sorry but i must stop here, this discussion has gotten low/bad enough ...
  15. Do you even research about what your saying ? The basic trigger assembly still is the freaking same since the Gen1 guns. You say things like "trigger assembly is much older than the PDW wich seems to be open bolt capable!" and yet i can transplant almost all of my Gen1 trigger components into a "latest gen" open bolt PDW trigger cage, hell i can put them on the latest G39c !! The only new gun that doesn't use the old M4 style trigger assembly is the M14 ... Is your flawless logic saying that newly design products can all use the OLD trigger assembly yet the future original products can't u
  16. Huh ? Can't you really extrapolate that based on previous releases ( PDW ) and how much the conversion kit cost and add the extra cost of an entire trigger group and associanted bits ? Really ..?
  17. I don't have any questions and the ones i had i already had them "answered" ( with different responses depending on the time of the answer ... ). I was just replying to your idea that we should just be thankfull that we would get conversion kits even if they would cost much more than half of an entire gun and that it was A-OK for us to pay it. And of course was just saying that IF they really are making the old trigger group completely incompatible with the old one, that would just be like pissing on the face of the old users. I was commenting on your, not WE's, unfortunate comment about i
  18. Yes a new design can have a "drastic impact" on how the gbbr will work. thing is ... The PDW still uses the same trigger group and possibly the M4/HK416 too, why on Earth would they change it just for the SCAR ? Not only that would mean the price would go up but that they would be screwing ALOT of costumers. The old SCAR had the same trigger group as the M4/Hk416 and they ( apart from the firing pin assembly and valve locker, cheap upgrade ) always functioned perfectly with GG, why change something that works ? If they really have changed the trigger so much that it wouldn't be co
  19. Hmmm does that mean that the "new" SCAR will use a different trigger group than the M4 ...? Cause they said that the "new" open bolt M4 would use the same complete lower ( with "upgraded" materials on the the trigger group but compatible nevertheless ). If that's true they just *fruitcage*ed up a lot of old SCAR users
  20. Teh hammer is the same ( although they did say that the new hammer had some improvements ) and since this uses STANAG mags it would use the same conversion kit available for the PDW.
  21. We are trying to change them but that will take a while. It isn't THAT bad in full sized rifles ( my M14 up there is painted according to portuguese law, but the silencer and the diy cheek rest covers it since we are "allowed" by our officers during the game ). But the required paint scheme reaaaaly blows on pistols
  22. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wrKpIhcRs1U Not much info given though ....
  23. One of my M14's Sorry about the quality of the pic but forgot to recharge the battery of damn thing and could only take one shot
