  1. Well since there isn't much support from 3rd party's ( at least good companies like RA-Tech/Stinger )) i think i'll just create my own parts for it. I was already building parts for a custom M16 based DMR project but wasn't planning to "release" anything but now i think i'll reconsider it. So ... not counting the trigger set ( will test the CWI one first ) and hop-up ( already beeing worked on from others ) what do you would like to see for the WE ? - Custom Lenght/Design Outer Barrel ( already on the works for me, manufacturing in short time ) - Ambi Mag Catch ? - Redesigned Bolt Rel
  2. Apparently there are good news coming for the WE long running problem, it appears there is a new trigger group coming, made from forged and CNC'd finished steel ( maybe a bit overkill but hey ). Let's hope the fitting quality is as good as the manufacturing process is.
  3. Since i suppose the SCAR uses the same grips as the M4/16, it ONLY accepts RS ( or copy thereof ) grips.
  4. You CAN use CO2, the trigger group just degrades way faster. But still that doesn't imply that you can't use CO2, i use CO2 exclusively on my M16, but that is with a custom/DIY re-enforced trigger group. Is the perfect solution ? no. Do i want a better trigger group from the beginning ? Hell yes. But that doesn't change the fact that i still use CO2 and it's currently the one GBBR replica who offers CO2 support from the box ( if a bit screwed ). Regarding the numerous broken upper threads reports, i've just seen two cases and one of them was to actually show that somewhere, somehow someon
  5. My v1 still has the original trigger group ( only filed it once ), with propane that isn't such a huge problem, Co2 on the other hand ... So you're afraid of breaking a receiver or outer barrel ? I mean ... holy shinto My M16 has a 4/5mm thick steel outer barrel that it's heavier than the gun itself.
  6. Like i said in the past and having owned both plataforms , WA - that includes the WOC - and WE , if i had to choose again between any of them and pondering the problems of both i would have to choose the WE any day. Although the WE platform as is, is plagued with small problems, i still find them much more manageable ( and way cheaper too ) than the one i had with my WA. From the problems that 3vi1-D4n listed i only consider two of them critical, the trigger system wear and the rubber components ( part #117 ) "fail" on low temperatures wich in my opinion is in great part, the culprit for the
  7. Maybe an aftermarket drop in redesigned trigger group is in order ?
  8. Don't think the WE needs anything else to be made of steel, just the trigger pack would be a godsend.
  9. Thats good to know, i'll try to find somewhere to buy that nozzle to test it as i don't trust the NPAS one. Although i do have the TSC guide rod and use them i just don't use the adjuster as i fount it too prone to unjust itself during operation. I've been using the stabilizer since day 1, just had to locktite it or else it would travel forward and cause problems. I did buy a few extra since not all give perfect results but found the QC on this part much better than what i found with the hop up rubbers. Regarding the TSC trigger group you'll have to file a tiny section from the sear,
  10. And today i found a new "problem" ... I bought two new CO2 mags and when i went to try it, i was at first very pleased because both came with no leaks at all ( which i wasn't actually expecting since they appear to be first gen ) but when i was shooting with on of them through the chrono, the FPS readings were VERY inconsistent, like 15 to 30fps variance between shots!! Which is ridiculous since i usually get a 5fps variation with propane, that wasn't making any sense to me. I then took out the mag and tried the other one, no variation whatsoever ... Just then i noticed the colour of the mag,
  11. To be honest i think it's more fault of RA-Tech than it is from WE. I also bought an NPAS but i just don't use it, i gutted the thing and swapped it with a standard nozzle. Look a few pages back and it's not the first NPAS nozzle that broke, even my own with just a few hundred rounds showed MUCH MUCH more wear than the factory nozzle with more than 6k rounds on it I just think the material used by RA-Tech is a bit on the soft side to be used with Co2. I suppose it should work with the TSC nozzle, at least it worked with the factory nozzle without much fiddling.
  12. To be honest although the trigger sucked donkey *albatross* ( straight to the garbage bin ), the other two components worked fine ( and still do ), only the sear had to be filled a bit but that's hardly a problem Actually both! At first it would give me random bursts even without having to quickly tap the trigger, eventually the problem escalated and the gun constantly would stick on full auto. After a quick inspection revealed that because the trigger was out of centre, the trigger would lean to one side and scrap the side of the trigger cage. At first the issue wasn't very perc
  13. Well that is the default behaviour of the weapon, my M4 ( TSC trigger group ) and M16 ( Original trigger group ) display the exact same behaviour. I got the same problem when i used the TSC trigger, the bloody thing came WAY out off center and would erractly engage causing the behaviour you describe, the other parts worked just fine. That's why this ingenious solution that DoubleTap engeneered is a godsend!
  14. 3vi1-D4n aren't u refering to part #117 ? Or are we using different diagrams, cause part #112 is the rod housing ? Anyway that was the problem that i encountered, the nozzle was getting stuck in part #117 due to various ( freezing, low lub, dirt ), even when full of silicone and clean the nozzle would encounter enough resistance to not chamber the next round. Solution was really to dremel part #117 and the nozzle a bit. I'm actually trying to find a better material at work that does the same job and is a bit more cold resistive.
  15. Next time it happens, take off the mag and open the receiver. Check if the valve is getting stuck and WHERE is getting stuck. I experienced a similar problem on game today, the BB wouldn't get loaded but the gun fired anyway, when i tried to rack it i noticed more resistance than usual and when i got to open the receiver to check the problem, the valve was getting stuck on part #117. Don't know how but maybe with so low temps these days the rubber gets too stiff ? I'm using the "modified" hop-up from Stinger/Ra-Tech, it works beautifully for me, it's shoots straight even with .20g
  16. They're both the same NPAS valve, but the second one also comes with the valve guide housing, which seems to be prone to snap on the SCAR i believe.
  17. I did one from 2 extra selectors, a bit of dremmeling and it's done. Might put a picture later on.
  18. Never mind, it's inside the chamber not in the bolt, but if you had everything pre-installed no way that part is missing Anyway is part #36 loosen ? Double feeds are normally caused by bad/light BB's, too much silicone on the hopup or a loose valve assembly. Does the first BB, after you rack the charging handle, always fires correctly ? From what you describe is that manually loading the BB, by racking the charging handle in a slow motion, would fire perfectly but once the BB gets loaded by the previous shot it would roll the barrel and the valve would get stuck in the chamber. It just
  19. Yeah ... too bad i'm never going to be as hot as the #1 airsoft weapon designer of the good ol' US of A Anyway back on topic and actual conversation. Does anyone have a good picture of the SCAR bolt carrier ?
  20. From what you're saying it looks like the nozzle, everytime i've seen double feeds someone was using the NPAS and it was incorrectly installed. There were two situations where a BB would drop from my barrel, again one of them was because of the nozzle. First time it happened was when i installed the CO2 kit in my v1 M4 and forgot to put the litle black rubber that stops/seals the chamber and when i installed the NPAS and for some reason it would push the BB further down the barrel AFTER the hop-up. What BB's are you using ? My WE's have been doing great, i even bought a new W
  21. Holly god damn! 2 ... 2 smiley's are like ... a collection! Are you serious ? Really you amuse me ... Anyway, once you started to spew bull about hitting shot's at over 70m with most/common AEG's i just stopped caring, either you're just making things up to compensate the bull you've being writing ( really probable ) or you just don't know how to use the metric system ... PERIOD. Seriously what you wrote is so out of this world and absolutely exaggerated that i just won't comment about it anymore. Great you're happy with the craptastic FAMAS, good for you! I won't even talk about t
  22. Sorry but it seems you've just got contradicted from actual regular users of the gun and you're just trying to get your point/opinion taken. I don't care if you had an Escort before ( big whoop i've tried it before too ), but they are just not equal no matter how much you *badgeress* about it. The point of a review is to get facts and opinions from who actually bought and regularly uses the guns, not to get "ideas" from i-shot-it-twice-and-the-replica-sucks-and-i've-tried-a-different-system-too type of reviews I constantly get kills from 50 meters and beyond and get it with semi, not f
  23. Those "reviews" make me think that i must have bought some magical WE made by Fairies in Magical GBB Land, because although i had to tinker a bit ( my M4 is a v1 ) i play just fine with them. Not only i found it much more fun to play with but i also find them just as realiable as any of my AEG's and cause of that i sold practically all of them and just kept my King Arms, since for an AEG it's a great little gun and great for a backup. And i'm surely not justifying my purchase because not only i love my M4, i went ahead and just yesterday i bought another WE M16! I was considering the SCAR
  24. Yeah i've figured that too, i already have part #66 in my "house stock" and already have that part and part #64 in steel from Ra-Tech ( actually bought them for me M4, couldn't find the NPAS for the M4 ). If thats the case i just missing the hinge plate, too bad i can find it in europe
