  1. ei dan i recall you also experienced flight inconsistency before. so does centering the barrel and adding plumbers tape fixed it? or you replaced some parts?

    tia

Yes like i said in the M16VN thread, my inner barrel was REALLY wobbly and was literally freely rotating in the hopup unit causing inconsistencies ( and i know at least another user on GGi that experienced the same).

Now that you mention it, i did have that problem but the issue was so easy to fix that i actually completely forgot about it :P I just took the thing down and wrapped the inner barrel in teflon tape. The inner barrel is now tight and snugly and the inconsistency went completely away :)

  2. That's cool, I was mostly just curious if their "also fits AEG" barrels worked in the WE M4. And about the issues you're having with your gun--did you use a steel upgraded hammer from your old closed bolt gun? The roller in the open bolt hammer is narrower than the original, and offset slightly to one side.

I did try and see if the old parts would fit the new receiver but after that i went back to the original trigger group. And the hammer that came with my OB M16 is exactly the same as the old one

The open bolt M4 kit from BBDragon showed up today; there is a two inch metal rod and a tiny bit of rubber in the kit that I'm not sure what to do with, but otherwise it went together nicely.

    Care to share pics ?

  3. That sounds like a good deal with the mags inc, T Hum makes barrels 6.01 or 6.03, I have a .03 its good. Also get a velocity reducer from T Hum, I installed one and it increased the range quite alot.

How dare you not already have a KJW M4!! I thought you were a GBBR nut. ;)

Ah ah i DID have a KJW when they first got here in EU but mine ( and a friends ) had a faulty hopup unit and considering that i already had way too much guns at home i just sold it.

But at the moment i'm selling a LOT of my GBB®s so that i can have one gun ( plus extra upper ) per platform ( WE/VFC/KJW/"Magna" ) since now i do a lot of "airsoft gunsmithing" for a few stores and having a specimen of each helps me alot. And of course, this deal is too sweet to let it pass considering the price and the fact that the guy only played with it once.

I know t_hum sells them but i already have a quite big stock of inner barrels at home and i would prefer to use them rather than having to buy yet another inner barrel plus i have a Prometheus 6.01 TB that i got for free just waiting to be put on the KJW CQBR ;)

  4. Thanks, RA-tech had the mag kits listed as out of stock--looks like they got some but didn't update the site.

What part number and length is the barrel you ordered?

To be honest i don't know, i just sent them an email directly asking for the parts ( by name ) :D

  5. My open bolt M4 kit is already in LA customs--BB Dragon is legit for sure. Of course they listed the CQBR kit I needed moments after mine shipped. Still looking for a source for the short inner barrel and mag conversion kits.

Ra-tech ? I just bought a CQBR inner and some mag kits from them.

  6. Ok so i've been offered a pretty good deal ( at least considering european prices ) for a brand new KJW ( 420€ for the gun plus 7 extra mags, here it would cost over 700€ to get it new ) and so i might get a KJW again.

    @t_hum ( or anyone that knows ),

I can use a AEG inner barrels with some extra cuts correct ? Can someone tell me if the modifications are extensive ( i can get simple machining jobs for free/cheap ). The same with outer barrels right ?

  7. Checked the trigger parts for any breakages?

Might be worth checking the valve knocker and delayer.

Just for good measure i tried replacing every part with either original spare parts and/or upgraded parts, even made a few extra bolt stops and auto sears. Yes it's possible to make open bolt bolt stops and auto sears, they're both old stock which was filled down to spec.

Funny thing is that if i plug the end of the barrel with my finger, there is still enough pressure to trigger the blowback in semi but if i switch to auto it instantly fails. There's definitely something wrong with the auto function .... just can't figure what at this point.

  8. So what is it doing under auto?

    Sticking completely or just stuttering?

It's like it's getting caught up on something, it either stutters slowly, vents all gas or doesn't reset the trigger. The only reason i'm giving it another chance is because in semi the *badgeress* functions normally, with huge range and very good precision ( considering it's using the stock barrel ).

I just ordered a new set of nozzles to see if that fixes the problem. If anything i'll make a semi only dmr out of it <_<

  9. Had similar happen to my g39 and pdw bolt.

    Found lubing it was enough.

    Tried filing it down?

Yeah and i even polished it. I'm guessing it's not just that because i just completely fired one entire mag in semi as fast as i could and the thing didn't even had one hickup. I'm sincerely stumped

  10. And yeeeeeeeeeey ... not even a thousand rounds and the damn thing is already borked <_<

As of now i have no auto on my M16, i mean ... i do have auto but it's completely useless. After checking and rebuilding the damn rifle trying to fix the issue to no avail, i noticed something strange on the carrier and voilá ! The spot where the carrier first meets with the hammer not only is it dinged, it's completely obliterated! It's like a freakin crater.

So now i'm stuck with semi because the hammer just gets stuck in there and makes full auto completely unreliable. POS ... <_<

  11. Checked all those bits. No ware - nozzles fine, it does return if I pull it though a little 'jaged' its not totally smoothing.

    Guides seem fine aswell.

I recently fixed a SCAR where the pin that holds the two halves of the nozzle was trying to wiggle out and was scraping the sides of the carrier ( it ended with a destroyed nozzle ) and was jamming the nozzle and was showing similar symptoms like the one you're describing.

  12. have you seen Airsoft buddy's ridiculous shipping postage? I got quoted $170CDN once for shipping

In the order comments ask to change the shipping method from the expensive EMS service to the cheap registered airmail. Fixed.

  13. Those are guiding rails, they keep the nozzle straight and they go into the carrier. Don't have the g39 exploded diagram with so can't exactly tell you what part numbers they are.

One thing I can tell you though, refrain from using/buying TSC parts if you don't want to waste money and beak your gun ....

  14. Hey guys,

Where can you buy stock G39 trigger internals?

Mine is just playing up again! Got about 10-15ft range with wild inconsistancy both with range, recoil and I assume fps.

Thinking of putting a new set of stock parts to see if that solves the problem..

Couldn't find the new type valve knocker and firing pin base though, but even with the original parts they should work fine.

  15. I tested the M16 today and oddly enough quite a few BB's would get any hopup effect applied to them. At first i though that it was because the system was full of oil ( came this way from the shop ) and so i went and disassembled the gun.

The a flaw in the hopup unit, the inner barrel is able to rotate quite a bit on the hopup unit

The fix was easy, i just applied a good amount of Teflon tape around the barrel and with a drill bit i removed a bit of material from the end of the hopup unit, just enough to fir a small ring to help centre the inner barrel on the hopup unit.

  16. Thanks for the reply, will try that tomorrow when i get back home. But is the really weak recoil and power the cause of the valve delayer? What does it really do? Because the gun works without it... :nosleep:

Well the delayer ... delays :D Without it the valve shuts too fast and thus the gas volume isn't the same.

  17. So with regards to the front handguards, were they broken out of the box? and do they wobble around? Id of hoped they would have used the same plastic from the g39, which is pretty high quality. blink.gif

About the plastics quality, see 1st Commando's post above. They didn't come "broken" but they came all dinged up, they shipped the gun with the receivers apart and the handguards were being rubbed on by the hammer <_<

Ahhh I am still at a undecided nature on whether to go for the M14 or the M16A1 ... damn my flittery mind.

Although i have both and love my M14's. GO FOR THE M16 NAO !!! The more i shoot it, the more i'm loving it :D

  18. If you're mixing the stock g39 valve delayer ( new type ) with the old type type fire pin carrier it won't work, to use the old style firing pin carrier you'll also need to buy the old type valve knocker delayer.

Before you go and buy a delayer, there should be a little screw in the stock delayer, remove it and the little black piece it holds and try it then ;)
