  1. Maybe the firing pin isn't smooth and is catching the release valve, not going to the "up position" fully when you put the mag on before cocking it ?

If this was a M4 i would tell you to put the mag into the magwell with the receivers open to see if the firing pin is being fully depressed but being a G36 this isn't really possible :(

  2. Hmm, so not shaving the plastic allows for LOWER fps settings? If so I might need to purchase a new part... I need the NPAS to go between <350 and <450, not from 400 to 550 as of now.

Correct. By filling down the plastic you're allowing more gas to enter thus higher FPS.

  3. Does this count?

Technically i am in the field lol

Now that's an idea .... next time im out on a LAN i'll go fully kitted :D

Do my eyes deceive me, or are you no longer stuck with fluorescent guns?

Unfortunately we are. We are allowed to "hide" them during the actual game though, some people use the painted parts for transport and switch them to play, although that's stretching the definition of "hiding".

And some just get tired of this ridiculous laws and ignore them ( at the risk of being fined of course ).

  4. Has anyone installed part #53 from ra-tech ? I installed one on one of my M14's but the thing required UNGODLY amounts of filling to fit correctly ... In stock form the bolt wouldn't even cycle by hand ...

It's made from very tough steel but jebus, the amount of filling that was necessary for the part to fit was unbelievable.

  5. Can you source a new recoil rod with the rubber buffer at the back? Its the one that comes with the open bolt SCAR (not the kit). It should increase the life of part 066 more than the recoil rod that comes with the kit, which doesn't have the buffer.

Actually even the kits come with the rubber buffer, you just need to buy the new ones. The rubbered buffer isn't hard to do even ( the new ones are just de old ones retrofitted ), you just need to shorten the round part of the base of the rod ( which is easy since it's made of plastic ) and add two grooves on the side to be able to fit inside the upper receiver. Get some rubber, cut to spec and voilá.

I just did that to a couple of old guide rods, it took me 20mins to do with an x-acto knife and a dremel.

  6. just got my WE M14 in.

blowback is not even close to an AR-15, but DAMN, this is the first airsoft rifle I've owned that feels like a rifle should: weighty, beefy, and solid

And when I get my paws on the RAT cnc'd steel receiver I bet it will Feel even better!

  7. It's Apex sig, his Mk23 image. It's because that domain is flagged on StopBadware and his image is hosted there.

Firefox also uses StopBadware for it's list, too bad it gives WAAAAY too many false positives and it's very easy to bad list a website just because you don't like them.

I stopped using that feature when it started blocking the website of an airsoft shop where i've been shopping for YEARS and i know for sure that it's legit. Most likely a competitor who doesn't like the shop and spammed the list with red flags.

The concept behind stopbadware is flawed from the get go.

  8. I had a stupid problem yesterday after upgrading a SCAR to OB, the gun worked perfectly with gas mags, but lacked power with a CO2 mag, slow cycling, weak BB, and just running like ######, gas mag back in and it works perfect, and the CO2 mag worked fine in other guns, was thinking a fubar floating valve in the piston, but I just don't know.

Are you using the new trigger group ? Have you checked if the new hammer spring is as strong as the old one ?

  9. I also find myself in a situation whereby the model is obviously damn hot, but the chicken-wing and trigger finger issues bloody irritate me. This is not a situation that I like.

Never saw anyone calling that stance "chicken-wing" ahah But quite appropriate now that i think of it ...
