  1. Epoxy resin. I wanted to weld a bracket and screw the grip to the bracket but i have no access to welding equipment, or someone to weld for me, and this is a chinese gun made from horrible metal that wouldn't weld properly anyway. I made the bracket anyway and epoxyed it to the frame, carving down the metal of both to get a good fit, then epoxied the grip to the bracket. Also of note, in the picture i found of one of these "baby machine guns" that used a genuine thompson front grip, the grip had been shortened (see my picture) to fit slightly better. Other guns had front grips carve
  2. There where several made by a famous gangland gunsmith, i cant remember the name, and there is at least one example of one of these weapons built in .45ACP. The section of the report i read shows it was a silly weapon to use as the .45 gives some heavy kick. There where at least 3 made in .38 super, much more managable and each saw much more use than the .45. John dilinger is reported to carry one in .38s, and the others where found in raids on his gang. And yes, it already is full auto. I'll make a video when i can nab my dads camera. {edit}further information. The gu
  3. Updated picture of my 1930s machine pistol. It only needs a thread adaptor to correctly mount the compensator and it's finished.
  4. http://www.imdb.com/media/rm589798400/tt0089348 Nah, I never go akimbo. One handgun is more effective than two. More importantly the feed ramp on one is broken, so i cant use two at the same time. Anyone have a broken maruzen pistol uzi...
  5. I have no idea what you are on about, please elaborate.
  6. My lovley pair of maruzen pistol uzis, one fitted with a stock from a springer (I think)
  7. No, they really don't. The M93r has a very different shape, in holster terms, and will not fit in most fabric holsters made for standard frame guns. It definatly will not fit in any poly holster shaped for an M9 or M92 varient. The M93r has an extended trigger guard, designed for you to put your thumb into, and a folding foregrip. This foregrip is much larger than it looks and requires a larger holster than normal. I found that an AK mag kind of fits, though far from perfect. Also there are several fabric adjustible holsters that will go large enough to acomidate the 93 (not th
  8. I often remove the gas parts so that the top cover closes properly, but thats partly because i fit two mini batterys and have plenty of wires floating around . One part of the gas parts has a flat section, this part should face upwards conecting with the lid. It annoys me so i remove it .
  9. Dosent sound right, if you where going to external rig a maruzen full stock you would bypass the tank altogether and use the tube coming from the mech and feed that out of the gun. That hole is perfectly lined up with the fill valve on the tank. However, there is no way you would be able to fill up the tank with a standard gas bottle as the nozzle is far to short, unless you had a lenghteny thingy like those tanaka revolvers use. Either way is feasable.
  10. Those are some sweet shotguns. What stock did you use (hunting stock)? I have a tanaka stock that looks identical but i really dont know where and how to start cutting. all i have is a craft drill and it just dosen't cut the right way (IE 'down' into a hole)
  11. If you do try it, let me know. Sounds like an interesting project .
  12. I've never used a silent piston/cylinder set so i dont know, sorry.
  13. The gearbox sounds very smooth when its running, so i guess you could set it up for a fairly silent gun. I have been told that, from the enemy team, it sounds like a real gun from very far away, you only hear the muzzle report/piston head hitting the cylinder head. I guess the best mod to do would be to use a silet piston head and cylinder head, but i dont know if they work. But remember the L86 has a 610 lenght barrel not a 550 , those extra 60 might help you keep it quiet.
  14. Not really, a shotgun is defined by... answers in the question... shotgun, IE a gun that fires "shot" as apposed to a bullet or other arrangement. Shot is a number of spherical projectiles. Making any doublefeeding AEG a shotgun, if not by intent. Your design is an AR/SMG, not a shotgun, end of story!
  15. Loading slugs into a shotgun makes it not a shotgun "technically", but nobody cares about that. Just like loading those 40mm shotshells into a greanade launcher makes it not a grenade launcher. I'm kinda OK with the whole "single BB shotgun" thing, as its almost like loading slugs, but practically* you need to put it into the sniper rifle range (400-500FPS). *practically for skirmishing that is, I only think it terms of skirmishing .
  16. Range sucking is why AEG shotguns don't already exist. And let me be the first to say that what you are building is not a shotgun, at all, in any way. calling burst fire a shotgun is like strapping a drum mag to a pistol and calling it a support gun. However, there is a thread around about moding a hop unit to feed 3 BBs and have hop for all three. Short version is that you cut a hole in the barrel 12mm further forward than the normal one, and re-locate the hop rubber to match it. useing a very high powered spring you end up with a slow rate of fire, resonable power, and a true shot
  17. You wouldn't be the first person to post up an IIED* so sure, go for it . * Imitation Improvised Explosive Device
  18. http://forums.airsofters.co.uk/showthread.php?t=8103 http://www.airsoft.netonbuy.se/?page_id=844 between the two of theese pictures you should manage it.
  19. Would it be possible to wright an extra few lines of code so that if there are two posts by the same user one after the other, that the user could delete the second one, or merge the two posts so that you can't remove proof of offencive posting? This could reduce the workload for the lovley mods. Just an offhand sujestion, I know nothing of coding so I dont know if thats just making more work for different people .
  20. M4 parts on a shotgun FOR SHAME. Though the ris/heatshield combo does look very menacing.
  21. The Star/Aries and the GnG SUSATs are pathetic for airsoft. They are great quality scopes, look good and work great but the site picture is very close to the rear lense. This means that if you are wearing goggles then you can't see through it. If you don't take saftey seriously and wear just shooting glasses then you can just about use it, but you have to push the glasses against the back of the site. I have had about 10 seconds to play with the ACM one, baught from RSOV, and the site picture is further back, making it usable with goggles/mask. I have every intention of buying one when i g
  22. Well tell them to stop worrying and buy one (if they can find one) they are great little guns. The only problem with them is that you can't upgrade them for longer range work. Keep it stock, keep it CQB or close woodland and they are fantastic.
  23. The mechanical components of the gearbox are extreemly well built, I don't see a problem there. I dont know about the wiring, and most people who use lipos also fit mosfets, so it might be an idea to totally replace the wiring when you fit the mosfet just in case.
  24. Is it new from a shop? If it is, contact them about getting it replaced with a working gun. Do you have a full stock or pistol grip version? Are you any good with taking guns apart and fixing them? Is the gas coming out of where the gas tank fits in? It sounds like the pipe it connects to is missaligned or broken somehow.
  25. Any hints as to the best retailers to buy from. I havent managed to find any UK based.
