  1. I didn't word it very well did i . Anyway, do you know exactly what variant of Elcan is going to be used? I'd like to try finding one.
  2. Im hearing roumers that the acog has been dropped and procurement of a new combat scope for the SA80 is going to the elcan, aparently its a really ugly version (plus no airsoft copy yet)
  3. Grow up? The mos do a hard job and arent paid afaik. they get a lot of stick for it to, but the vast majority of the time they steer the forum away from the dark places it could end up. If you have a problem with an individual mod, look at yourself through their typing fingers first, just to make sure they are or are not out of line. I have deep respect for mods so when i get an odd slap on the wrist that i dont understand i investigate it myself and let it drop as normally the mods are right, if a little heavy handed on rare occasions.
  4. They are talking about breaking it silly.
  5. You guys, stop trying to kill him! Its not nice.
  6. Ubar, that scope mount base, real or repro? more importantly where do i get one
  7. Well, that sure is one way to start the honeymoon off with a bang!
  8. Of corse, if i had bothered to think about it, i would have realised that if they could be made to match the armarlites rifling then they, of corse, can be made to match the satys rifling.
  9. Vortex flashider?? I thought that only worked on armarlites due to the flashider has to match the rifling. Satys rifling beeing different so it wouldn't work, or at least not as well. Corse i might not know what i am talking about here . I am definatly after that scope. Need the tall rail mount for the acog, haven't seen that anywhere (not even a real one)
  10. Thats excelent and fantastically informative thankyou. I see why the mags are so expensive now, with a gas nozzel and everything! Good thing is that the barrel is fixed in the gun, so changing it for a TB and altering the hop would be rather a simple job. I had discarded this gun out of hand when i first heard of it, but now it seams like a resonable NBB.
  11. Just a feq Qs to add to the review(nice review BTW ) Is the gas bulb held in the magazine or in the gun? Can we have a pic or two of the magazine and the place to put the gas bulb? Can you compair the trigger pull to another NBB? Some NBBs have very heavy trigger pulls, making them an effort to shoot more than a few rounds with any accuracy. Thanks Ps, when IMI(Isralie Military Industries)'s small firarm section was Privitised this part of the company was re-named IWI(Isralie Weapons Industry) IWI is not truley the "new name" of IMI, it is a new company that took
  12. Lots of compfort but lots of muzzle climb
  13. Also take apart the BBU and clean it. When i got my metal bell 1911 it was full of metal filings from the machining process. I took it to component parts, cleaned and greased it before ever firing a shot (Yea i know, voided warantee but hey, at that price its good for spare parts)
  14. Is your gun quite powerfull? The bell 1911 that i got has things like highflow valves and a hard hammer spring with a BB to make it harder. And yet mine will still empty the BBs and lock back allmost every time.
  15. Yes. Then parts start breaking. How long do you think before some china'soft company clones this up to 400FPS but you need huge fingers to shoot it Leave it as it is, it will never match an AEP or GBB so why try! Use it as it was ment to be used; to teach kids firearm saftey!
  16. Not breaking paper means sub 70FPS. I had an EBB DE that shot 77FPS and that would punch through paper.... just. This seams to be quite a different product for TM, possibly linked to the BOYS series a few years ago. Low powered guns for kids. Its good to teach them firearm saftey from an early age. One question: The BBs that are held in the mechanism when the magazine is removed, are they retained in any way, or are they free to fall out?
  17. Blank firers are permitted for sale here so long as they conform to UK law (if they don't, then you shouldn't have it to begin with!!) Basically so long as it vents the gasses upwards rather than forwards ("top venting") then its fine. The sale thread is best placed in either "non-airsoft sales" to sell the blank firer or in the "wanted GBB" section as swapping for the blank firer. The last, and most important thing, is are you aware of the VCRa. Without exemption or defence against this law then you may not trade one RIF for another. Both the blank firer and the GBB you would s
  18. A few questions for you if you please Price. (japan price) Is it compatible with VSR parts, spesifically trigger unit, hop and bolt. I'd also love to see an accuracy test when you get round to it
  19. Once you learn how to, reloading a TM shotgun is very fast. Other shell shotguns like tanaka and maruzen take longer but given that they are true shotguns they make up for it. Go watch some military or police training for the use of shotguns. I found some on youtube that where actually rather usefull. I use a 9 shot stock holder (i have 9 shells so its convienient) and i can reload faster than slinging the shotgun and pulling a pistol.(probably cus i use two point slings )
  20. Haha, i didnt notice when i made the picture. I took the picture at a different angle (the gun is pointing at the sky) so i had to rotate it, but in doing so i must have fliped it without realising the implications.
  21. Tape the excess up! Its mil-sim
  22. I only have 12 and 20 bores, i dont know anybody at the gunclub who owns a 16 bore. I love the gun club, its all those toff country types, the really steriotypical ones. Good fun As i havent posted a picture yet, and this is a picture thread after all, behold, my maruzen m870, pathetically powered and broken!
  23. I said all this before http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/inde...t&p=2135218
  24. They look like wear, scratched by the gun. I have some new ones and they dont have those marks.
