  1. I only see the mock cam pin, but not the other half like on the VFC M4 that the nozzle actually contacts. I guess we'll just have to wait for a disassembly to find out.
  2. It looks like the screws in front of the bolt carrier are used to hold in a nozzle retainer. I don't see the usual retainer that's inserted from the top. The part sticking out near the bolt catch paddle may be the valve knocker lock. I'm not 100% sure though. Kinda disappointing to hear the recoil isn't as crisp as the M4. Would it be possible for you to measure the diameter of the nozzle o-ring?
  3. Got a Prazi MD200 Mini-lathe :)

  4. Built a TM base Nova kit for a friend.
  5. In my experience, the Crusader pins fit perfectly on 416 receivers, while on M4 receivers, they stick out by around a mm.
  6. For those of you using zero hammers, has anyone ever cracked their hammer housings?
  7. My VFC GBBR, w/ lower receiver cerakoted in armor black and RS PSA upper.
  8. Yes, all longer mags are compatible with shorter variants. I've found WE mags to be very tight fits in my Guarder G19 frame. BBUs are interchangeable, but WE nozzles only work with its own BBU b/c it's a bigger diameter. The KJW G19/23 uses TM G26 style hop up units, while the WE uses G17 style. Hammer housings are interchangeable. Front rails are not interchangeable between WE and KJW, with regards to slide fitment/hop up compatibility. Takedown levers, mag catches, slide locks, and most other small parts are all compatible with G17 stuff.
  9. Thanks. It's pretty much a frankengun now. KJW base, but it has a Guarder slide/barrel/frame with a WE hammer housing and BBU.
  10. Got my slide Cerakoted in armor black. Time to do some more stippling.
  11. Thanks! It uses the same concept as ABB rings used for VSRs. I used a tubing cutter to cut it, so the inside edge is a little peened inward, it pretty much bites into the rubber, so it won't come off without actually trying to pry it off with a screwdriver. Depending on the hop up rubber, you might need to add a few layers of PTFE tape. Haven't had any issues so far after shooting over 1000 rounds.
  12. I find it also helps to put a section of 40S&W brass over the exposed end to give it a little more stability.
  13. With the stock barrel cut to 400mm and the stock BCG, my gun shot 460 FPS. Managed to get it down to 400 FPS with the regular Azimuth aluminum flute valve and a KWA jet nozzle spring cut in half. Bimmer, check if the the nozzle slides freely out of the barrel extension. I had to file my barrel extension a bit to get the nozzle to slide freely, after that the ROF increased by 1 or 2.
  14. Just invested in a mini mill setup... what to make first?

Time to get stocked up on metals!

  15. Sounds like we might have two completely different problems then. I'll try to get a closer look at my friend's G19 again and see if I can make any improvements.
  16. I don't think it's the hammer assembly as the hammer is essentially a zero hammer, and the auto sear should only be in contact with the slide/BBU when its in battery, so it shouldn't affect it on its return. Didn't get to shoot it. When I racked the slide normally, as in pull it all the way back, then let go, it worked fine, but when I pulled the slide back, and slowly let it forward, it would get stuck, I'd have to pull the slide back to get it to unlock, there was simply too much resistance to push it all the way forward. This makes me think the barrel is either sitting too high, not t
  17. Nope, unfortunately. Also, got to handle my friend's version with the fixed slide gap. It had very minimal slide to frame wobble. I noticed that the recoil spring was very weak, similar to what a stock TM would use, and also that even with the plastic barrel, the slide return was very sluggish and would not return to battery without reracking the slide if it was ridden home. I'm thinking this has to do with out of spec locking lugs on the barrel. The frame is probably the most realistic I've felt compared to WE, KJW, and Guarder G19 frames. It had more realistic contours and the texture
  18. They use standard AEG front ends and pistol grips. Only the buffer tube and end plate are proprietary IIRC. Bolt gearboxes won't fit into standard receivers without removal of the bolt plate mech and removal of the tabs that keep it in place.
  19. Not in my experience, so far they've used the same motor, which is pretty decent. Still ferrite, but the magnets are just as strong as a weaker neodymium.
  20. Looks like you have one of the first gen Bolts then.

  22. The VFC grip will work but it still requires drilling for the selector detent spring.
  23. I emailed KH Mountain about a week ago about the Visionking, and they told me they were OOS. Cheapest place I found was Aliexpress, $80 shipped, but from a seller with no feed back, so I decided to get it from Airsoftglobal, who has it for $67. Just got the scope in today, and the scope completely matches chas' description. It is indeed a 30mm tube. Anyone know what killflash it's compatible with?
