  1. I still regret trading mine away. I await seeing one of those type 64. Bulky 7.62x51 magazine of awesomeness.
  2. http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=19589 That didn't take long for a repaint.
  3. They are supposed to be with the newer models for cyma, but it is still hit or miss I feel. I have an "10 feet away" East German knockup that is made from trying to mash dboys/cyma/etc parts together. It is quite unnatural, but it fitted together after removing a few bits and bobs.

    CZ Picture Thread

Was wondering when you would post a pic of it. Lovely. Looks like you got some of those longer magazines as well.
  5. Indeed, it is just one of those support weapons that needs more love. Your RPD is undoubtedly more sturdy than any of the RPKs out there on the market, and I would love to see the reaction of folks to it here locally.
  6. That does not help dispel my recent re-interest in getting one of those. I remember using the Bizon all the time in every old shooter it was in, even if the situation did not warrant one. It's a shame that out the recent ones (S&T and the plastic fantastic acm one rebranded by E1), they forgot the front sling attachment. I suppose I just haven't really seen many pictures of it in use with specific setups from 1996 onwards, so since I am typically more towards the Soviet-Afghan War era in gear, I don't really have a reason to have one. I suppose any of the splav vests with large pouc
  7. Honestly, I like it still. I know the feeling though, as I still cannot even get myself to try to buy a Romanian scope for my SVD.
  8. That moment when you realize no one will ever sell camo sets in your size ever.

It is strange, in that despite the common consensus that it is more difficult to get larger sizes for what I like to collect, I find that said larger sizes are all that usually is being sold privately.

      In asia, sizes go:

      S - skeletal

      M - malnourished

      L - Lean

AZNriptide, I prefer to use the term "low body fat" but yeah I'm fairly skinny.

  9. I'll admit, I got a good chuckle out of that RC.
  10. That moment after coming home from a family gathering, when you realize you ate more than everyone else.

  11. That right there is a happy airsofter. BTW RC, have you ever looked to see if your Gorka top can be worn inside out? I discovered during my time waiting for a class on Wednesday that my old gorka e top I was wearing could, and it was quite amusing. I wish I had more sets.
  12. So, apparently there was a Famas 7.62x51mm design at one point. I miss the old days when designers were like "eh, why not?"

Also, long before I learned about AC-130 Gunships, I remember dreaming up what essentially a "box of guns, cannons, and more" that could be mounted to the side of aircraft, ships, and armored vehicles. Would've patented it if I wasn't like 8 at the time.

  13. Indeed (though for a different reason). I take it the sight cannot be on with the stock folded? Only thing I think could be added is some sort of goofy sight attached inwards from the bottom bit of the stock end. Of course, this is a mac11 we are talking about. Awesome work as always RC.
  14. Certainly, it isn't one of those "crossdraw" vests that so many have had when starting out, so I wouldn't be surprised that it lasts so long. If all else fails, you could get a bolt or two of Flora fabric and wrap it in it. Far from just action shots, I like seeing how folks staging areas and whatnot are like. The writing on the wall seems to be more effective than most methods. Not seeing any paint either, which is a welcoming sight.
  15. Perhaps a holiday gift several years from now, though that sumpftarn sumrack from BARS company undoubtedly be cheaper. I just like oversuits for the most part, with my old set of "sun bunnies" being my go to set for most of the year. I just need some sort of equivalent for when I need to be on the "tan" team locally. I have so far been distant from modern gear for the most part, but with the local conditions it may be better to do so at some point or another. RC, it took me about a minute to see the mask hole on the side, I was thinking you had gotten bit by something. Keep up the p
  16. A Partisan M suit in the "Spring" configuration, very nice. How I wish I had one (since the autumn side is essentially one of the few "tan" options for modern Russian camo suits), but I cannot justify trying to import one.

  17. Apparently when making a frankenstein rifle mashup, be prepared for your one donor barrel to be too long.

    1. Gunmane

      Gunmane

Except I am not one to cut a barrel that fits into another rifle to begin with. There's quite a few other messups, but that is what happens when you try to crossbreed a Cyma with a Dboys.

    2. Gunmane

      Gunmane

Also, the receiver cover will not fit on because the fuse for the gearbox has not spot to drop into.

    3. Gunmane

      Gunmane

Well, I removed the plastic casing around the fuse, wrapped a bit of electrical wire around the exposed bits, and now I can put the cover on. Now the bolt will not move foward, lol. Can anyone confirm for me if the cyma aims/echo1 rebranded model's inner barrel is indeed 455mm? I read somewhere a list of barrel lengths, and the dboys models are like 502mm.

  18. Getting nearly a dozen assorted packages for course books, but not the one package with an airsoft AIMS receiver, clearly a conspiracy.

  19. Is it wrong that I want to see TM try to make a lmg, perhaps some obscure models from yesteryear? I think my mind is melting again.

      renegadecow

If it's anything like the plastic fantastic Star M249, sure. Otherwise it's gonna cost waaay too much.

    2. Gunmane

      Gunmane

Yeah, probably would be the most expensive model ever made by TM. They would probably be more opt to make something for all the "operators" though lmg-wise. I just wonder whether or not they would make something new for one, like a new gearbox design or perhaps just slap their "high cycle" guts in one. V1 return?

easiest one for them to do would be a RS RPK

  20. Meanwhile, I seem to always be adjusting my face cover in the majority of the few pics taken of me. Wanted to take it off, but far too many shots to the face convinced me to deal with the hassle of it all day. These two photos courtesy of Mosin of Team Rage, who hosted a game last Saturday that I attended. This one is not as clear, but out of all the other ones so far I liked it, as it was a moment where I was following behind my newest acquaintance of the day, who I stuck with for most of the day when not off sneaking about. If it is not clear already, I am the guy in t

I think that might just work, with the side effect of being able to slide down the hillsides.

  22. ^ It makes me ponder why I didn't buy yours.
  23. Azn, the funny thing is, there is not much love for the aks-74u to begin with, so honestly, good on you for making this.
