  1. Good day of airsoft since a long time.  Mate brought out his project m2 for folks to try out.  Only photo so far with me in it as a background figure (typical ss-leto oversuit and bizon for close range defense).  Sorry for FB link, I cannot for the life of me get the photos downsized enough to fit the max size limit here without it basically looking like a stamp.

  2. Clearly that is the anti aircraft field position stock attachment.

Now I want to see you pull off what negative airsoft did and make a top folder using a pps bizon stock.  Guessing he just found an ak sidefolder with the right pin size to match it.

Sadly do not have any new builds myself, though I am always dreaming of them.  Seeing the pics from the latest ak festival in Japan has not helped me.

  3. Had a good time at the local field on Sunday despite the heat.  There are a few other shots of me in a pile of weeds or running with a RPK in the deep woods, but this one says it all that day.  Won the Free for All round the event hosts ran right after the lunch period using my trusty ak105 and won a card for next game day fee.  Ended up giving it to a mate who had sit out the game as his birthday is this Wednesday and he had gladly shared with me and others the pork fried rice he cooked up from scratch.  Netting over my head was for the expected mosquito hordes but did not really see any till right at the end of day.

If only work today didn't have to put a damper on my rare good mood.

  4. Latest promo video shows it, reddit already in arms, figured it needs to be posted everywhere.  Interesting mag design (though I imagine RC could "improve" it somehow).  So far it seems like it is semi only, which I guess makes sense for their design philosophy.  Too bad it is going to be above my credit limit/not really usable where I live.

  5. A few of the pics gathered by John aka Canto whose crew at Hole in the Wall Paintball in Bangor Michigan put on an awesome event last weekend.  I am wearing my Sumpftarn getup, which lasted until about an hour or so before our lunch break due to charging across some marshland that I fell up to my lower calf in muck.  Link below is the rest of the photo album from the event host, so you can see some of the scale of this place (and it is not all of it yet me tell you).  Shame I cannot go visit it all the time.

  6. First picture so far of the elusive "Russian" as they call me at the local field.   Pretty sure the ref has film of me in this bunker puttering about back and forth because the cover is all and I cannot find a good angle for anything in it.  Most of the time for this gamemode of capturing said bunker I am off to the left scaring folks trying to come up these two paths near the field netting walls. I'll probably be double posting soon if anything else surfaces.

  7. Originally could not get this grater heatshield from Khyber Custom to fit, but queue one *suitcase* job with a dremel and pliers to bend the edges of both ends earlier today.

I recommend saving oneself the headache and just getting the LCT one instead, it was not worth the effort for the cost difference.

  8. The hero of last weekend's rec game, that in the hands of another took me down handily.  I have the classic side mount and ultimak clone for an optic, but I honestly have no need for one and for the former it defeats my actual use of the folding stock (when *suitcase* tucked in tight trying to keep folks guessing where I am behind cover).  I have fancied perhaps one of those vector pk-a clones though for display.  Mag is the blue box brand midcaps that I've only seen a few shops sell (here really evike afaik).  Fantastic feeding quality for something so cheap and light, just wish they had it in a more classic design.  Wish I had a 11.1v that would fit it (my wiring and mosfet of choice does not leave much room under the cover) but it runs well enough on 7.4v.

  9. There was a time when I was younger (and just starting out really) that I played more in the winter and snow then the summer.  I worked at the golf course next door in the summertime, and since my birthday is this month that was usually when I got the newest thing to be excited to go out and use.  Local field used to have trenches at one point of the field that swallowed people up, and I remember sitting in one half filled with snow and water and still having a blast.

Back then I was a furnace in winter, now I am bundled up in blankets whenever possible.

  10. I find that usually the reason a game host runs on Sundays is either because they work Saturday (or their close associates do), that is the only day they get away from the family, or because they want to go to play at events/games themselves on Saturdays.  Also often at paintball fields here and elsewhere there is the usual stigma of the owners that airsoft doesn't get a big enough crowd to justify running it on their more active Saturdays.  Certainly that has changed over the years (my closest field is being more intertwined with airsoft over the past year) but it still exists.  I for one would appreciate playing on Saturdays more, but I have come to accept that I would likely have to play "can I not overdo it enough to make work tomorrow ultimate hell" on Sundays now.

Of course, I can't say much about that now since I haven't went to play the past few months due to the side pain.  Probably won't be able to play again at this point.

  11. Double post and bad photos again full steam ahead!  My current collection as of this moment.

    • Real Sword SVD with 3-9x24 "PSO style" scope (I say that because it has the 1.7 meter height marking unlike the civilian 1.8 and afaik was made by NPZ and sold commercially by SAMOON many years ago.  Still stock, only swapped connector for deans.  Doesn't really get used much due to how I usually play and partly because local fields think it needs 100 foot MED despite polarstars shooting 30+rps with .4 being able to outrange it easily yet still be below that for MED.
    • Cyma/Dboys Aks-74:  My work horse and primary rifle.  Been taken apart and parts swapped both internal and external for years, currently has no scope rail on the receiver, ics fire selector, real Russian plum handguards, an Egyptian rear sight leaf, and of course tourniquet and sling.  Internally a mish mash of SHS and ZCI parts, with a 16tpa shs motor 12:1 shs gears iirc,  promy tightbore, lonex hop up unit, and modify flat hop bucking nub set (black iirc, I keep swapping between the black and grey ones).  Empties a mag fast but not my best semi auto response.  150 ft shots reached but not sure the extent of it, around 360 or so fps iirc.  Nukefet installed.
    • Cyma Bizon:  My confused child that doesn't know what role to fill.  Currently shoots above local limits for 5 foot MED, so I still can't clear buildings with it, despite the spring being a m95 zci (might be from having a non ported cylinder in it).  Mostly the same setup as the rest partswise internally, but stock metal hop up unit with the modify flat hop and promy barrel.  Range is decent for how short it is but it is picky with the mags I have for it.  Still love it though.  Apex python mosfet installed
    • Cyma ak104/5, 40 series:  My latest aeg purchase, not even over a year yet and I already have messed with its guts.  Recently got fixed up after finding that its spring guide and piston head both failed, now has 12:1 gears instead of 16:1, which paired with a zci 22 tpa motor seems to be making it smooth for trigger response.  Oddly enough fires just below 350 fps so actually is better than the bizon for clearing buildings.  Put a lct ultimak clone top handguard on despite not having a proper optic for it.  Nukefet installed.
    • Cyma/Dboys Ak-74m:  Current project gun.  Recently restored the internals of it, giving it the 16:1 gears, a zci 22 tpa motor, mostly similar internals to everything else, and slapped a random spring into it that currently puts it at 397-401 fps range.  Stock barrel and hop up unit atm (lonex chamber on the way) but I decided to try and mod my old prommy purple that was in it for flat hop with the modify nub.  It is the only one besides the SVD atm without a mosfet, but I have a gate nanoasr on the way to try out.  Externally it is an old, old, old body, like the aks-74 but the front barrel assembly is so worn around the barrel pin notch that I have to put something in there alongside the real steel pin to keep it from falling out.  Half tempted to stick the gearbox into a dboys akms body that I have in storage instead (which pin is so pressed in that it won't come apart to allow dissassembly) or find a boneyard gun to take the barrel assembly off of, maybe put it onto the full stock ak-74n body that I have which has a nice wood stock finish.
    • LCT RPK:  My most accursed replica to date.  Has had one of its barrel screws bored out due to it being stripped from the factory, no wobble so far though.  Fire selector lever also got replaced due to original one wearing out on its cylinder nub (why can't these companies do what lct does and weld lever and the nub together!).  Real RPK sling.  Internally it is a mess, with the  apex python mosfet wiring job done so bad I ponder how it actually works (spliced wiring to extend it back into buttsock, as well as to extend part of the wiring to the 16 tpa motor).  Stock barrel, lonex hop up chamber, modify flat hop.  No idea how it performs currently but I would say probably subpar to everything else.  Plan to just run it till it dies again and see about redoing all of it internally again.  The PBS-1 as stated before is just for lulz.

  12. I am extremely bored today and did a thing.  My Accursed LCT RPK with the aluminum pbs-1 replica I had sitting on a closet shelf.  I sincerely doubt the bb's would actually get past it considering how long the inner barrel is already (and the fact that the gearbox is probably complete *suitcase*)  I actually plan on doing a group shot of all my replicas at some point, but still waiting on stuff for the 74m.  Might still do it this upcoming Thursday that I have off.

  13. PBS-1 replica arrived for my Bizon.  Had to dremel out a bit on the end (and fight the gearbox again after having to take it out to put longer inner barrel in).  Despite being non-steel it still got a bit of heft to it and oddly enough makes the bizon front heavy somewhat now (which is what most folks assume the bizon on its own to be when it isn't airsoft wise).  I'm sure the longer barrel won't play nice with the cylinder but hey, maybe it will drop the fps down low enough again to make it 5 ft MED again.:P

  14. I saw a few of the TWI ones at the last rec game I went to, kinda want to get some.  I do love running the cyma 40 rounder midcaps in my ak100 carbine.

Quick question, but what is the consensus on PBS-1 replicas out there atm, and anyone got experience with one for the cyma bizon?  I kinda been having the odd thought today of getting one for mine and possibly taking the stock brass barrel of an ak74 model out of storage, build a hop up setup for it, and basically have two barrel sets (not sure if I would have to change cylinders but hoping not).

  15. I would say most definitively yes.

Going to guess PPS brand, though I have thought about if that one's stock could fit on a cyma one somehow.  Also reminds me I still need to get the metal flashhider to replace the yucky orange plastic on mine, and that I still want that camo.
