When you wake up early only to find your gps says you don't have to go till "x amount" of time.
-
Google-fu is failing to convince me otherwise, but am I insane in not finding a single US shop with a TM VSR-10 GSPEC in stock? That itch to have something that is spring action is bugging me today something fierce.
-
Really? Most of the shops outside of Asia and Mainland Europe I see are UK based. Probably outrageous prices, but I just saw one in stock.
-
Not exactly a VSR but it's spring and still the cheapest you can get compared to everywhere else though a couple weeks ago it was on sale at $140. http://www.evike.com/products/53388/
-
Not a big fan of the magazine design for that (read reviews on ww2 forums before about it). Anyways, the last search for UK shops that had GSPECs in stock showed Airsoft Zone and FireSupport, but I swear I saw more shops from an earlier search.

That moment when all the repressed urges to get "insert bit of kit" and get out to a field come flooding back after months, and yet you have to try and hammer them back with reality.
-
So, did I miss news of LCT kits being discontinued or something? I know a shop here in the US has mentioned it several times, but it seems odd to be happening just out of the blue.
-
That moment when you realize no one will ever sell camo sets in your size ever.
-
It is strange, in that despite the common consensus that it is more difficult to get larger sizes for what I like to collect, I find that said larger sizes are all that usually is being sold privately.
-
In asia, sizes go:
S - skeletal
M - malnourished
L - Lean
-
AZNriptide, I prefer to use the term "low body fat" but yeah I'm fairly skinny.

That moment after coming home from a family gathering, when you realize you ate more than everyone else.
-
So, apparently there was a Famas 7.62x51mm design at one point. I miss the old days when designers were like "eh, why not?"
-
Also, long before I learned about AC-130 Gunships, I remember dreaming up what essentially a "box of guns, cannons, and more" that could be mounted to the side of aircraft, ships, and armored vehicles. Would've patented it if I wasn't like 8 at the time.

This really cannot be Tokyo Marui's work, can it? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Super-Mario-Bros-Mario-Kuppa-Plastic-Model-kit-Figure-2pcs-Tokyo-Marui-TD20-/271167038029?pt=US_Action_Figures&hash=item3f22d0a24d

The Mario 1911 is buried with Bob Hoskins in a grave marked 'Mario leftovers'...
-
So is the oversized revolver with the "Dum Dum Bullets"
-
No, that was awesome. Leave the Yosemite Sam revolver out of it .

Apparently when making a frankenstein rifle mashup, be prepared for your one donor barrel to be too long.
-
Except I am not one to cut a barrel that fits into another rifle to begin with. There's quite a few other messups, but that is what happens when you try to crossbreed a Cyma with a Dboys.
-
Also, the receiver cover will not fit on because the fuse for the gearbox has not spot to drop into.
-
Well, I removed the plastic casing around the fuse, wrapped a bit of electrical wire around the exposed bits, and now I can put the cover on. Now the bolt will not move foward, lol. Can anyone confirm for me if the cyma aims/echo1 rebranded model's inner barrel is indeed 455mm? I read somewhere a list of barrel lengths, and the dboys models are like 502mm.

Getting nearly a dozen assorted packages for course books, but not the one package with an airsoft AIMS receiver, clearly a conspiracy.
-
Is it wrong that I want to see TM try to make a lmg, perhaps some obscure models from yesteryear? I think my mind is melting again.
-
If it's anything like the plastic fantastic Star M249, sure. Otherwise it's gonna cost waaay too much.
-
Yeah, probably would be the most expensive model ever made by TM. They would probably be more opt to make something for all the "operators" though lmg-wise. I just wonder whether or not they would make something new for one, like a new gearbox design or perhaps just slap their "high cycle" guts in one. V1 return?
-
easiest one for them to do would be a RS RPK

"Wakes up at 3am, decides that if the day is going to be rough later on, he might as well reread Black Lagoon."
-
Gah, next to tvtropes, I should never be allowed to read anything on the Warhammer40k wiki. I want to see someone pull off a Death Korps of Krieg airsoft impression now...
-
I did plan a kind of full day or weekend 'Guard v Cultists' but never got enough interest .
Still there are many out there, often the easier ones to do like Tanith (black tight top, camo cloak and matching camo trousers, typical webbing and done).
-
I just think Imperial Guard mindset works well during those slaughterfest days at a field. 50+ players get hit during an assault to secure a flag? "Acceptable losses"
-
Interestingly enough, I have seen some good Krieg cosplays, but apparently using modified Swiss uniforms rather than German. I wonder how people would make the various weapons of the factions in airsoft form. I like to think that airsoft Shootas would all just be made loud with a gas system built into the underside of the barrels, similar to how people make inert machineguns sound off via propane.

Advance Wars being ported to the Wii U? I might actually have a reason to use the gamepad now. Now if only they would make an actual new title for the series on the system as well...

Time to open a gearbox, I am sure nothing could possibly go wrong.

Hop units are tricky, but nowt really difficult. Also, the v3 gearbox is one of the easiest to work on.
-
GBBs are MUCH nicer to work on. I gave up on AEGs after 6 years of messing with them
-
Part of me wants to go get an GHK AKM, but the other part of me says my wallet cannot let me right now, I barely use my aegs as it is, and I am laughable at filling even gbb pistol magazines. They sure look tempting though...

Do we have a "What peculiar airsoft matter occurred to you today?" thread and if not, where should it go?
-
Spending today trying to properly clean and eventually polish a pair of boots. First time I've encountered saddle soap, and it smells so good...

Three things that modern television can learn from The A-Team. 1. Your protagonists' greatest skills should be that of jumping onto people. 2. Everyone on the show must be a honor graduate of the Imperial Stormtrooper Marksmanship Academy. 3. Everyone must use the same arms dealer. 4. Whenever the protagonists must pretend to be police or customs agents in a foreign country, always ensure they speak with an assortment of bad English accents.

First time I have been able to connect to Arnies in quite some time (at least for me). There was not another update right?
-
Must be a US thing. Fine over here.

I've been fine here in the US.

Had the same thing, though I could access the home/news page fine.

Just want to have people from other countries chime in on a thought today. Is it common/accepted that most fields are in fact rented paintball fields in one's area? How do people feel about the situation in their own areas?
-
The majority in MI are paintball fields where an airsoft event host from a local team partners with the field owner. Basically the event host runs the game, while the owner sits back, takes the cash and provides the field.
-
Gigueand explained well what I was going to say. Like steaktipz though, I am not much a fan of the paint.
-
Here in Ireland virtually all of the sites are dedicated airsoft - no paintball
