You missread my point... I was reffering more to Ivan's famous rug/carpet/whatever pics . But now it looks better in fact ! A lot better. That's the problem with pictures - the same stuff may look completely different. Attractive way or just the opposite. The era of photoshop is a one big lie .

Now I feel responsible for this keymod thing off topic... OK, then for retribution - My LaRue shortened and stripped of unnecessary stuff. Let's assume it's kind of KISS build in this form. I intend to use it in the same configuration in 12.0 variant. Only thing missing, is the flashlight, but I haven't ordered it yet. Hasitate between Emerson X300 or Element/ACM M300 in black. Apart from it I need to replace rear sling attachment, because this one has a little flaw. For final touches I plan to add PTS Battle Arms ambi selector and replace magazine catch for something more eye catchy. BTW -

Not going deeper into subject of keymod itself (I like keymods, don't get me wrong, I just recognise them THAT great) I will only say this, as You called it, "conventional military's aversion to change & progress" is often in fact no more than aversion to reinventing the wheel . Nobody's more practical than army guys. It's... Natural.

Your enthusiasm just makes me loving my "dated" mk18 and LaRue 9.0/12.0 rails even more . I tell You guys, I give this keymod madness no more than two, maybe three years, before people forget about it or it will be replaced with "new" system based on the same idea, but with different holes . While military sticks to good old picatinny rails . It's just like 29-ers in MTB world. Mark my words .
