  1. The pictures can be a bit misleading. I didn't realize how similar the two are until I saw them in person next to each other.
  2. LBT has increased their prices within the last year (retail of a 6094 from them went up about $50, IIRC). Also, the 6094, at least the DOM 2011 one I have, doesn't have retention bungies in the pockets, they're paracord, same as the DPC. DPC also has the same MOLLE layout on the back as a swimmer cut 6094, as a teammate of mine used to have a DPC. Cummerbunds are also sized the same, IIRC. Though you are right the pads are much different, and IMO the DPC pads are much better than the 6094's. My theories are that AWS doesn't offer a warranty like LBT, and they're not a "name brand". AWS, to
  3. It is, or at least that's what AWS told me. The Eagle DPC is a direct copy of a swimmer cut LBT 6094. It could be that LBT doesn't hold a patent on the 6094 design (a theory that makes sense considering the DPC), or it just could be that LBT doesn't care because they're not losing a lot of market to AWS (it's not like NSW is going to contract out to AWS). I was tempted to ask them how they did it, but I didn't want to come off as hostile and accusing them of stealing a design. I have a feeling that LBT doesn't hold a patent, which is what allows AWS and Eagle to make pretty much direct co
  4. Review with pictures: http://www.facebook.com/notes/9th-group/aws-operators-choice-plate-carrier-lbt-6094-clone-review/308975452543267?notif_t=note_comment (AWS on left, LBT on right) Background: Many casual airsofters and impressionists are often forced to buy tactical equipment made overseas in China due to the costs of US made products, and unfortunately this usually results in the purchase of subpar products which fail much quicker than the "real thing" would. The AWS Operators Choice Plate Carrier may be a viable solution to that dilemma, providing people with an affordab
  5. Put that patch on the other arm, you *bramston pickle*. Nessie must always swim forward in to glorious battle.
  6. Yeah, I've usually got it around my neck, but I forgot the chain at the OP.

  9. After we overran a Russian LPOP at MSW's Spearhead: Wendyland, took some time to pose with a "dead" Russkie (me on the left with the big US flag on my chest) More pictures: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.305136089593870.70430.124475664326581&type=3
  10. I'd say that's an opinion, one that can be disproven by looking at many places people play in, including a couple fields that I frequent. Concealment wise, it's not that bad, and it can work much better than one solid piece of Multicam/Woodland/whatever if you know what you're doing. I've been able to blend in well with ACU in the middle of a Washington rainforest because 95% of airsofters don't really know about camouflage past "this kind works, and looks cool". Not to mention that we're doing impressions of Special Forces, and right now the majority of SFG guys aren't getting gear that i
  11. I agree. I liked mine fine, but wasn't a huge fan of the set up. I'm getting one of Ferro's to compare.
  12. Mark, the thing weights like a pound.
  13. Looking good! Where'd your marksman get that recon wrap mesh stuff?
  14. Give them a call, they might be able to make you one in RG.
  15. The new Multicam stuff Rangers are getting is SOFLCS, fyi. Nice kit!
  16. To me, spending $800 on a plate carrier for airsoft is dumb as *suitcase*. But GOD DAMN I want me a CPC now.
  17. Some pictures from Total War, full album here: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.281570281950451.62668.124475664326581&type=3 Also, video!
  18. We actually got the idea from some of the Air Force and Naval squadron patches. We admired their ability to be professional and silly, rather than what seems to be the usual airsofter trend of "Let's make the patch as bad *albatross* as possible" (at least in my region).
  19. We're all big fans of Nessie and its constant attempts to get $3.50 from Chef's parents. We wanted a good looking Task Force patch (since TFN is made up of right now 3 teams), but we didn't want to make it too serious lest internet warriors call us "posers" (since our teams are pretty hardcore impressionist teams). Hence, we picked Nessie and its "Gonna need about tree fiddy" phrase, and made the rest of the patch good looking. We all agreed it has a good mix of professional and silly, with the added benefit of being awesome since Nessie.
  20. Pararescue and CCTs have gotten AOR1 and 2 uniforms. I don't think they've been issued gear though, short of bumming it off guys who have been issued it.
