uscmCorp .... I'd agree with you on the Ares as all the ones i've found are finicky to say the best. With regards to the others you have 2 options .. (a) the G&P models - good quality, but expensive and they have trades on them a good or bad thing that up to your own personnal opinion. ( the A&K version - a near straight copy of the G&P with a blank body which is ideal for laser etching the correct trades on, sure the internals aren't great but that is an easy job to rectify seeing as its a near standard item . Anyhow as for mine the next step is to get a Larue SPR/

I Know it hasn't got a lower attached but here's my new Mark 18 Mod 1 Its just waiting for the Tango Down Rail Covers and a ACOG with Dr Optic in FDE to arrive now. And for those who don't believe me about the Mark 18 link have a look at this Yup its the new Daniel Defense Mark 18 RIS II in FDE.

Everything on the m4 is real apart from : - Lower which is a G&P one. - Upper is a Dytac version. - Barrel is an Army Code version And yes the Flashhider and the surefire are very real As for the Gearbox, its been made up from the best parts money can buy.

The only problem was the receiver threads on the upper but then again I did have a die for it and it took 5 to 10 mins to rectify As for the grip a PTS MIAD v1 was attempted but we had problems mounting the motor so i'm debating whether or not to try it with the new v2 ones
