  1. droool.....sounds and looks like an awesome gun. If it is anything like KWA's famous MP7......man, its bound to be a brilliant gun. I would like to have this as a side weapon as I've surrendered to my local fields' usage of AEG's. I just couldn't compete with my WE SCAR or even my MP7. Those kids just spit out 400 rounds to my 30 at a point of skirmish....and people need a few rounds in the same spot to knock'em out!! I love gbb's though.

    MOD EDIT: Don't Quote Pics!

I'd hate to count the money I've spent...

BTW Geist, that is a sweet 1911...

damn, that stubby down on the bottom is really nice. I like the multicolor rail covers...nice touch.wink.gif

  3. I have looked at almost this ENTIRE thread and I have to say it is very inspiring. Just when i started to feel a little uncomfortable with the economic decisions I've made with my airsoft collection/gear....someone (actually a lot of people) have outdone me!! lol

There are some nice guns out there.

  4. I am very satisfied with how many shots I get from the mags....really impressed actually. Also, do you guys have pics of the problems with the sites you are talking about? I'm not sure I understand. I was just inspecting my 5-7 to keep an eye out for such issues. thanx.

  5. okay, I could've swore I saw a discussion about this earlier in the thread but I couldn't find it....is there a SERPA-mountable option for the 5-7? I like the SERPA system so much that I think it would be sick to just have everything on one little set-up.

  6. I was thinking of getting the Guarder Polycarb frame/slide in OD and I was wondering if there is anything peculiar I should know about these "shells." Does everything pretty much fit nicely, is there any sanding that needs to be done? Are there any other upgrades I should get? I alsready have a Mad Bull tightbore and I finally have valve key to fix the mag o-ring issue that renegadecow explained.

I almost sold this gun, but I'm just remembering how great the blowback is, and just having a really nice reliable pistol is something I just NEED for a proper skirmish set-up.

I was going to take the money I got for the 5-7 and get the TM Glock 18, but now I think I'm just going to have both!!!!

  7. I would still like to get a new metal upper though. It seems depending on body to body, some have that hop up issue where you need shrink wrap to push it into the rubber. My old upper didnt have a problem, but my temporary replacement (Raven's old receiver) does. It would be nice to be able to get them through the US. I find it funny though. Only the lower receiver on a real AR is considered the "gun". The upper is nothing more than an "addon" to the gun. I find it strange that they would seize upper receivers.

I don't know...that trigger group/lower receiver determines important characteristics of the gun, I can see where the ATF is going with that one. The upper receiver is almost just an empty hull.

So the receivers are plastic in the USA? If you order from Hong Kong, will they be metal?

  8. maybe cause a tk is a pistol dressed up as an m4. starting from the flash hider to the butt stock, the outer barrel has another outer inner barrel. the hop dial is visible then the bolt is haf plastic and half zinc. then the rubber band and finally the recoil tube has another brass recoil tube inside.the magazine also uses a pistol mag valve. so to me its basically gbb pistol dressed in an m4 housing.

aside from that and the weak recoil well more like rattling/vibrating movement, i still think that the kj/tk m4 is the most reliable m4 gbbr out there.

interesting perspective....I never looked at it that way. I don't own a kjw, but I'm considering it, as I want skirmishable gbbrs. I own a vipertech and we scar and I can't afford the mags for the viper and I just switched out the hammer to the scar last night. I'm slowly building up my mags for the viper and that will probably be my primary very soon.

I don't mind the lack of "realism" as long as I get some good blowback action (loud noise, recoil---however minimal)biggrin.gif

  9. forgive me if this has already been answered but, the only difference between the kjw m4a1 and cqb is the RIS? I'm really tempted to get one of these b/c of its high skirmishability factor!!!! No mags availible!! bummer. I may just get one and wait (like I did with the kwa mp7!!)

  10. My PDW is back in the shop, even with silicon lube and grease the bolt sticks back in the upper upon recoil or cocking and sometimes the nozzle likes to chop hard into the BB and instead of firing a BB it will just sit in the nozzle. Overall not happy with my WE RA-Tech Closed Bolt PDW so far I have yet to load a full magazine and fire it to lock back.

I NEVER got a complete mag to cycle through my gun either. The bolt would lock back every other shot. I come to find out the hammer roller fell out and I ended up shredding the hammmer and bolt. Keep in mind this happened right out of the F-ING box!!!nosleep.gif

  11. Lol thanks, I vouch for you too!

errr umm, well eventhough I'm mates with frogfish; we actually had a trade of somewhat pricey items and everything went smoothly. I know I try my best to be honest...and frogfish did too.

I ONLY know frogfish from Arnies...he just happens to live a couple of hours from me and is going to the same school as I did back in the day...I based my initial trust on earlier dialogues that had nothing to do with transactions...blah, blah, blah anyway

bring on the negative points for being honest!!!flamed.gif

  12. Finally got around to cleaning it again after the last skirmish.

F*** me the barrel gets dirty, needed 5 cleaning's with the rod till it was clear.

The upper receiver gets gunked up quite well but still works fine (thank you slip2000!), even better after a clean and re-lube.

Few of bad points I noticed however.

The hammer seems to provide a lot of friction against the bolt, slowing it down about mid way through its travel. (Freshly lubed mind).

Dont think it impairs the overall function of the PDW, might just need further breaking in.

A part of the trigger mech scrapes against the bolt and nozzle, taking a small chunk out of the nozzle which could impair gas efficiency a small amount.

Might need to trim it or bend it back slightly.

My temporary fix for the bolt catch fell off, it was simply 2 bits of business card stuck to the underside of the catch where it gets pushed up by the mag latch.

Worked fine for when it was there though, more perm fix is to bend the catch itself it would seem, will give it a go sometime.

All the additional PDW mags (5 in total) I purchased came with no leaks (yay!).

The included M4 mag had a minor leak, now fixed.

The included PDW mag has major leaks out of the main seal and valve, also chucks out BB`s in the receiver. Needs a new valve, feed lips and the leak fixed.

    So far though, so good.

PDW Open bolt deserves to be more popular IMHO.

is your bolt starting to look like this? I didn't realize my hammer was missing the "roller" to prevent this damage and a lot of the headache of this gun!!!
