Excellent PapayaSalad! Please post some pictures so the rest of KJ users can see this new plastic upper. I'm a bit skeptic about plastic parts on GBBR, especially body parts.

First of all, thank you for your answer. I must say that money is not a problem and it's not the reason why I'm trying to do this thing. I have it enough to buy new upper receiver or even the whole M4. I just see so much potential within this platform and it's pity that body of KJW M4 isn't made of better quality materials. You're absolutely right about how demanding this project is. I'll talk to my friend over the weekend and then we'll decide what to do. His expertize will play the leading role in whole decision making process. I'll let you know the outcome.

@t_hum:I have a question for you and I need your expert opinion. Do you think it's possible to make an upper receiver by yourself? Friend of mine is turn-milling expert and he's got all the tools needed for such project. I have no patience to wait for KJW to make new upper so I'm thinking of self production. But it's still just a thought. So, what do you think? All advices are welcome.

I sent a question to G&P about production of full metal body for KJW M4 a week ago. They responded to my e-mail yesterday: "Dear Tomislav, We do not have plans to make metal body for KJW M4 in the future. G&P Webmaster" Guess we're all stuck with KJW upper for now Maybe some other company will recognize the quality of this platform and will start to produce some after market parts. At least I hope that KJW will make reinforced upper sometime soon. Cause this is the only weak point of this GBBR so far IMHO.

I also changed my KJW M4 look yesterday. All Magpul parts (FG) are removed and my KJW is converted to SOPMOD. Kit list: - Element LaRue 7.0 RAS - Element LaRue Tactical BUIS - G&P QD Raider Foregrip - ACM Aimpoint replika - King Arms High Grade Sling Adapter - Element M600c Flashlight (not included on the picture) Can anyone confirm information that the reinforced upper receiver is/will be made by KJW? I also have small crack on mine and would like to change it.

I'm glad to report that King Arms high grade sling adapter has been installed onto my KJW M4. Fitting is a bit tight but nothing to worry about I've scratched some of the paint from the stock tube. For more information on mentioned sling adapter follow the link: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/accessories/sling-swivels/king-arms-high-grade-sling-adapter.html Price is reasonable and quality is very good to excellent. My recommendation to all user that cannot afford DD or TD sling adapters. This is how it looks like on my M4:

No, Clare sales only spare parts. At least that's what other users said in this post earlier. But you can always try to order magazine part by part

Spare parts are available direct from KJ Works anytime. It think that's the best option for purchasing because of the low product price as well as the shipping costs. Regarding spare magazines, they where always "hard to get". I suppose that has something to do with reliability of this platform and great interest for KJ M4 family. IMHO, KJ itself is unable to produce, therefore supply, all the market demands for this platform due to it's "out of the box" field proven performance and reliability. Hope I'm wright on this one

@Donut My hopup lever was not pressing hopup rubber enough so the hopup effect was missing. I dismantled the hopup unit and put some shrink wrap on it so now it's thicker and presses hopup rubber much better. Now I'm able to achieve shots above 70m (230ft) with 0.28g BBs which is awesome IMHO. @alex chang I've just bought King Arms high grade sling adapter for my M4 (http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/accessories/sling-swivels/king-arms-high-grade-sling-adapter.html) and still not sure if it fits KJW. Guess I'm about to find out 'cause packet it's on its way But it's good to know that this part

C'mon guys! They've got to be kidding, right? Plastic upper receiver!? WTF!? I was looking forward to new reinforced upper - but not the plastic one I hope someone will soon make full metal custom body (with markings) for this beauty. G&P would be nice! This system definitely deserves it! Sorry for the strong words but I'm so disappointed now. Just to report. After small problems with hopup lever my M4 is working flawlessly now Been skirmishing every weekend for three months now with no problems at all. I'm using green gas and 0.28g BBs. I've got four mags and it's just enough to

I've managed to solve my hopup lever problem Thank you guys! Range is now more then acceptable. I've measured 70m effective range with green gas and fully open setup (without any spacer on t_hum's velocity reducer) and 363mm 6.03 TBB. So, gun is over 500fps.

@Lupus78 Thanks bro. You save me some trouble searching over the whole thread I'll try that as soon as I get back from business trip. Can't wait!

When the hopup is turned on completely the range is slightly increased but still it's way to low according to what other users here on Arnie's have. Today was more than 30°C (86F) so that shouldn't be the problem. Maybe the hopup lever is not moving enough so the hopup effect is too low.

Hi guys, I need help! I have had problems with my KJW M4's range from the day I've purchased it. First I thought that my hopup bucking was oily from using a green gas that has too much silicon oil in it. I've cleaned hopup bucking with alcohol to remove any oil but range was not improved. The range is very similar regardless which BBs I'm using (0.28g or 0.25g). BBs fly strait for 20m and then drop down like a rock. I did notice that my hopup lever is moving very little when I turn the hopup wheel but have noting to compare with to be sure that's the problem. Hopup chamber is very simple a

Well, guess I was wrong cause eHobbyAsia has some parts in their catalog now! http://shop.ehobbyas...arts/index.html It's not much but better some then nothing

I purchased some spare parts a week ago. Had no problem at all. Sometimes it takes a couple of days before Clare sends you a quote. I don't get it why well known airsoft shops don't sell any replacement parts. Little update on my KJ M4 - I installed t_hum's carrier extension and 363mm TBB yesterday. Had no time for testing since was getting dark. However, I'll try some shooting today to see how it's gonna perform.

I also have a small crack in the upper receiver. Wil need to order a new one from KJW. However the gun is working flawless. @danielsilva I've placed my order to Clare and two weeks later my replacement parts were at my door step. So, there's no problem with orders directly from KJW. Service is great and response time is reasonable. But, as someone said, few after market parts would be nice The quality of this gun deserves them. Just received t_hum's 363mm TBB and carrier extension. I'll have some work today to install them I must say t_hum, we're all very happy to have you. Th

If I use propane what about lubing of the moving parts? Can you tell me some tips for maintenance then?

    KJW M4

That kind of range would be more than acceptable. If you have in mind that I have no spacer installed on velocity reducer and I use 0.28g bbs this range shout be even better IMHO. Specially because of greater initial velocity and bb mass which allows more kinetic energy to be preserved during the shot.

Thanks Raven. I did oil my magazine so it's possible that some excess oil was ejected to hop up chamber. I'll take a look at it today. By the way, I contacted Clare last week considering some spare parts. She answered quickly and my parts were shipped on Monday. Great service from Clare!

I went skirmish with my new M4 last weekend for the first time. I have only one mag but no trouble there. First of all I must say that the feeling when you fire every round out of it is like - Rock 'n Roll This is my first GBBR so I'm under great impression. Temperature was around 20°C (70F), green gas was used. M4 has installed thum's piston and velocity reducer but with no spacers (I fire semi only so it's under regulations in my country). Rifle itself is amazing - sturdy, no significant wobbling, great weight distribution. I was capable of firing two mags with one gas charging. On sev

@Raven1 Thank you for the info. I have no plans converting my MJW into CQB, jet. In my opinion, you should apply for a job in KJW as external consultant and/or customer support

That's good news Raven1! I'm also about to order new upper.
