Actually the mag is 40 rd, and it's expensive because they're making it expensive. The tanaka mags are $70 because they can get $70. They figure you just spent $1500 on a gun, what's another $125 for a spare mag. Either this is the ONE gun that works, or it's a snow job.

They make the G&P SVD look like a workhorse. I've not heard one good thing about the VFC M82 save for the feel and look. Search this forum for a bloke named syndrome. He had a long thread about constant replacement parts from VFC being sent. I think eventually they "lost" his address. He is one of about 8 people I've read about with a the same story or worse. I've yet to see one person defend it otherwise. It's a hard to buy anything VFC after this turkey, at least gas powered, since the AK turned out pretty good. Keep gas rifles to the people who know what they're doing.

Actually. the only accessory available for it is the bipod adapter. Everything else is general purpose stuff. The adapter isn't required if you plan on mounting to the sling swivel. Just make sure your scope rings can be moved to mount to the rail, since it's not very long.

As to the different brands of kit, my guess is it's all the same, just different branding. Probably a knock-off like those cheap resin kits.

The butt stock is in sections, so you can add/remove enough for your needs. The cheek rest can be raised/lowered as well.

Great idea about testing the G18c AEP along the MP7 for comparative results. I'll be interested in the results. Now I'm waiting for the inevitable hi-cap 100 rd mags. Did anyone give a ballpark release date for them? As for the rumour of a Ver. 7 gearbox in the MP7, that's ridiculous.

Thanks, The tie was actually handed to me by the guy who did the upgrade work. It was a little hot for the game so it never saw the field chrono. I only used it in Semi so I felt it was no big deal. I don't condone that for full-auto guns BTW. It's the first version gearbox too, for all you naysayers.

I don't have the scope on anymore, it's on my A.I.C.S. now.

All but a few are in a corner. Too many guns and not enough cases. Some are still in their factory boxes, but it's mainly because they are rare gas guns and I don't want them exposed to the air and dust. It's starting to resemble the bunker from T2.

It's a neat gun for someone who has disposable cash. The box mag sucks though. Manual wind and it pinches the hell out of your hand the first few times you put it on. An auto-winding one needs to be made, especially for the price.

Someone asked if the gun is worth the money. That question is always subjective. What's worth $300 to one person isn't worth $200 to another. Just as $300 is one person's weekly wage where it may be pocket change to someone else. I'll preface my answer with a short bio. Ok, at lunch time I went home and did a quick poor-man's chrono. I followed the method the best I could remember. I used green gas and 134 with .2 Airsoft Elite bbs. The temperature outside is 85?F (California in November) . One note first, the shells can only be loaded with three bbs, any less and they roll back breaking the seal against the o-ring. I fired at the first can from 5" away. The power from the gas blows the can about 6 feet back and the bbs went cleanly through both sides of the can. I did a mini review on another site. I've just ordered the extra shells since thier release yesterday. I'll post a few quick comments until I can really sit and write a review. Build quality is superb. Wood furniture, metal mag tube, trigger, hammer, heat shield, bayonet lug. The receiver and barrel are heavyweight plastic. The shells fire three bbs at a time, but they all use the same barrel. Very solid feeling, no wobble or rattles except the sling hooks. It took a few cycles to smooth the action but now it operates fine. The shells are on the delicate side so I wouldn't eject them

Tanaka 1897 Trench Gun. It uses gas in the shells, each holding 3 bbs at a time.
