Are you sure? it seems a little unusual to me.

Hey i'm having a problem. my masada locks up on semi quite frequently and it seems random. i know its locked when of course it doesn't fire but also when it locks up the micro-switch does not click. The problem is fixed by firing a few shots on the full auto setting (which i heard was normal for non microswitch AEG's but not for microswitch AEG's) also it creates more ozone smell from the motor than i think is normal. as well it seems to be draining batteries pretty fast even when only fired on semi. can anyone help me with this i don't want to take my gearbox apart.

Of all the company's they could have chosen why did they choose Ares? They have such a horrible track record it's so strange when they previously had freakin Systema make their old carbines i mean talk about a quality slide

So the all around consensus is that it is an Ares. I suppose I wasted my money then as it will probably fail very soon, I don't know about you guys but I am enjoying the heck out of mine (I just ordered my folding adjustable stock from eHobby) and the only problems I have had were easy to fix. if it breaks i will deal with it EDIT: i didnt really like the last message

i fixed the problem by tightening the inside holding screw for the left side selector switch and managed to get the gearbox back in.

i took the whole rifle apart and removed the gearbox and the fire select cam seemed fine everything moved smoothly and the selector switch still jammed even without the gearbox in the lower i'm going to try and fix it and re lube it but i dont know how the dang gear box gets back in the lower it doesnt seem to fit and i dont want to force it as i already gouged open the black wire on one of the selector gears (fibers were intact and i taped it with electrical tape hope this doesn't cause problems). so i'm just leaving it out until i can figure out how to get the dang thing back in

i'm actually thinking its the left side switch since its the one that needs to be pushed in to make the switch work. But the thing that is bugging me is that it was working fine until i fired a few shots which makes me nervous that it may be some kind of gearbox issue. Though it seems more likely than not to be the problem you described

Ok i was having NO problems up until today when i plugged the battery in my gun and fired a few test shots i tried to switch it to safety and the fire selector switch jammed in place and i couldn't move the right side select switch unless the left side switch was depressed slightly i have no idea what is causing this as the jams are pretty significant. Please help me!

Actually got mine on Friday from Ehobby (Serial No 765) i will take some pics if i can. The funny thing is i got a hard time from the local techs who told me that my gearbox would explode and my micro-switch was going to fail because quote "Ares made it" (also they seemed to love the word proprietary) really put me off and ruined my skirmishing mood . but the only problem i seemed to have is if the selector was moved to a point between auto and semi it would not fire on semi until some shots were fired on auto, other than that no problems so far! and the cd had the manual and some iphone wall

do you have a release date and will they be releasing all the accessories (ex. folding stock, 7.62 lower, 10.5/11.5 barrel, RIS fore-grip etc) with it on that date or will these be released later?
