Well the gear issue is a unexpected issue, I've not seen any others do that. Spacer mod and sector gear mod ( if those gears are copy's of the original you will need to remove 3 teeth from the sector gear )

Ouch, yeah I would look to get a complete set if that's what's happened and it's cheap enough too

When you say open up what do you mean ? Has once you have removed the back pin and slid the top half forward it pivots off.

Does the noise sound like a electric drill ? If so if could be the pinion gear is spinning on the motor. Take the upper half of the RIF off but keep it wired up, take the upper gear box off, press the trigger; do the gears turn ? If yes, then attach the upper gear box again after checking to see if it's chewed the piston and then try to fire, if it makes the drill noise then the pinion gear needs to be sorted out. Has for getting the too half's apart, at first it will be harder, but i found tapping it with a rubber mallet helped ( did this a few times to loosen it up )

Would that be the mods SB and the like did to their G&G L85's ?

Rob, any movement on this ? i am very tempt to just get one for giggles, the only issue i currently have is getting hold of the 50rd mags.

For thoese that have fitted acogs, have you fitted a mount base to raise the acog up ? if so which one has i don't seem able to find out.

If it was in stock format you have been very lucky for it to last Anyway, I've now fitted the high speed guarder motor with a m100 and changed the piston, it's currently out putting 20rds @ 345fps give or take 2 fps with the hop off, the replacement nozzle seems to have stabilized the fps. Think the low fps results i was getting before was due to short stroking the piston by 2 teeth. I've changed the hop unit for a Element hop unit ( had to trim the side parts of the hops unit down ) and fitted a guarder clear hop rubber which seem to give far better results.

I've got the Nozzel, Cylinder and Cylinder Head. The nozzel does not fit on the new cylinder head but fits the stock cylinder head fine. It has stabilised the FPS readings i was getting but still i seem to have a massive air leak ( explain how in stock format these hit 350fps and after conversion they lucky to hit 320fps) Has for the cylinder, whats to say it's a cylinder :/
