  1. Ahh well, I'd consider M14's mostly metal considering how heavy they are compared to an Armalite. My CYMA thompson is full metal bar the plastic handguards and the standard mag =\ What crazy people do you talk to? lol I guess when I read the title it said "Full MPEG Guide" lol Missed the metal part.
  2. CLones still Missing: -M14's -CYMA Thompson -JP Famas -All of the G36's are missing Hope that helps
  3. I've never been a fan of painting the metal parts on M14 stocks and handguards so I've always taken them off (except the C clip that holds the heatshield to the barrel) I prefer the sleek look of black on greens and browns but thats a personal preference. Picture of my baby finally! Parts list is scatered but will post on request.
  4. Nice M14's everyone. As far as the EBR's are concerned they have their place but not in my arsenal. I thought about getting one but realized that it was a bad idea and instead went for the CA M14 SCOUT. I will get some pictures up later of my SCOUT and give the break down on the parts list (which amazingly isnt much more than stock) In the words of "The Movie the Matrix in 5 seconds" "Woah" - Neo
  5. There is a RAIL on the stripper clip area. It gets removed and this new unit with the rail on it sits there. That is why it looks like there isnt one.
  6. So it has two parts right? Look at the front of the M14 stock infront of the sling mount. There will be a hole there. Remove the barrel/reciever parts from the stock by pulling down on the trigger guard and gently lifting up on the barrel. Take the part with the hole going through it and poke it up from the outside ofthe stock and screw it into the top part of the bipod pin. Should be fairly straightforward.
  7. For those wishing an update on my M14 (cause I know that is the equivilant of about the :WARNING CALCULUS: lim of 1\x as x approaches infinity (Read 0)) I finally got the parts gun. I'm very pleased my M14 is up and running smooth again and is much quieter with the M120 set up (used the GB and stock CA geartrain and what not so it's much quieter than the all systema stuff) Anyways, I now have three options for games. I can choose the National Match and go M21 on everyone, I can choose SA Scout or I can go M1 Garand (take the scout flash hider off and it no joke looks like an M1 Garand.
  8. Because I cant resist any longer!: And yes, it is correct. Internals: Stock G&P Internals Guarder M120 King Arms Hop Up Unit Guarder Clear Hop Up KM 6.04 Tightbore SW-Computer Externals: Complete Pre Built G&P M16A4 RIS bought from Ehobby asia for a smoking low price SW-Computer provides correct trigger groupings and it is very reliable and very nice. All I have to do is turn it on, one buzz, pull trigger in semi, one buzz again, then two trigger pulls, then let it go. 4 shots on Semi, and three round burst is as reliable as my families
  9. The high contrast made it appear to be photoshopped (look at the edges around the reciever) It's interesting but the PRS stock doesnt look that good on an M14 in my oppinion. Looks better on the Armalite family.
  10. I'm the oppinionated one, thats funny. I do professional gearbox work and I've had all three brands and the TM clones come in for me to work on. Very few of any of them come back, they are all built well enough. I've also owned 2 of the 3 major manufacturers and played with the 3rd just about every weekend. (Owned CA and TM) Both of these rifles have been purchased and I've had in my possession the same amount of time. Both have the same amount of rounds through them. I'm sorry, the TM just isnt that great in my eyes. My CA outshoots my old TM every time and I spen
  11. You want a photoshopped stock? Well I suppoise you could start with the STAR Troy SOPMOD, but you may be kicking yourself in the future. (Lack of spare parts anyone? Expensive mags?) After that you'd have to make some other modifications. Could be costly but possible. As for the pissing match between CYMA and TM, what TM lacks CYMA has, what CYMA Lacks (reliability long term) TM has. It's over, dont argue about which is best because there is none. THEY ARE ALL EQUAL. TM, CA, G&G, CYMA fine, whatever it's like the ICS vs. CA, Ford vs. Chevy what have you THEY ARE THE SAME THING.
  12. Or is it a way to take glory from the TM fanboyz? I used to be a TM Fanboy, really really bad. Now that I've tasted both sides I no longer can bare myself to recommend it as my first choice if I could buy an M14. There simply are other M14's out there that do just as well as the TM. No longer are the days of G&G unreliability, no longer are the days of TM clones being poorly cloned versions of the TM. Enter the days when most M14's perform the same at different prices at the cost of minor build quality(but still, the CA and G&G versions are only 240ish$ and I think have better way
  13. Despite CA's quality drain it has really only affected their armalite lineup (has alot to do with the sportlines) the CA M14's are fantastic. The newest generation stocks dont suffer from the same problem I had (splitting at the reciever halves) I have to say that really, in the end, TM, CA, G&G you are getting an awesome performer. My personal preference is with the CA (despite how much I dont like CA guns) it is a good comrpimise between the design faults of the G&G and the sucesses of the TM. From my past experiences with all three major brands (and AGM and KART too) here i
  14. Bad News. My Gen 1 CA M14 stock has died! Died hard! I dont know how this crack formed but I believe it happened during disassembly. It split out and split out bad! Luckily I just purchased a lightly used CA M14 Scout to use as a donor and parts gun.
  15. It doesnt take them right now? If you unscrew the butt plate there are several rails in the battery compartment. Grind these down to open up some more room in there. After you've done that put your large battery in the butt stock then screw the back on and never take the battery out, just charge the battery in the gun. I had large 8.4's fit in my TM one =\
  16. While the problem may be that US retaillers dont want tos hip them part of the problem is M14E2's were not made in vast quantities, things such as properly made stocks, the foregrips, bipods, compensators, flash hiders etc have become rare. I know I PMed one of the leading M14 stocks suppliers in the US asking about a real E2 foregrip and the guy said he hasent seen a real one come through his shop in 10 years =\ They are just too rare right now. Have you tried ebay? There may be some willing to ship internationally to get them to you. I wish I could help =\ (I have a hard enough ti
  17. Not a flame or anything but next post could you try not to quote pictures? All you have to do is edit the "Quote" box. This saves some loading time on the page and saves how far we have to scroll Thanks! I'm sure with a little enginuity just about anything can fit on anything
  18. Honestly the difference between SOCOM length and Full Length is a few inches, its not going to make a difference in the end. The hop up unit is the key to range which its a fantastic hop up unit (all of the major brands)
  19. Yes there is a scope mount, King Arms makes it, and its a pretty nice sight. Fits both the TM (and clones) and the G&G guns (somehow) I was really really impressed with mine. It holds the scope mount in level pretty much with the top of the bolt area. Only good picture I have of mine sorry http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airs...il?prodID=17901 Bahboom direct link! Enjoy!
  20. TM, or CA, Or G&G, pick your poison, each performs very well stock in its own respective right. For me, the best performance I've seen out of a stock M14 (That is CA, TM, G&G non Vet, AGM, Kart, G&G Vet, Echo1) is definetly a CA. There are several reasons why I think that, compared to MY let me underline bold and italicize that, MY TM M14 that I previously had, the CA had better range, higher FPS, higher ROF, and again in MY oppinion was the most solid. Now let me breif you on my experience with Generation 1 TM M14's (as if they are really generationalized, but the first
  21. To make you ask questions obviously Good looking, just needs some M14 mags instead of STANAGS
  22. now THAT is a correct E2. That is most definetly beautifull! So beautifull in fact it brings a tear to my eye that I cant make one out of my CA
  23. My distaste is in EBR's not M14E2's M14E2's are pretty good looking when done correctly, however the recent "DMR" version stocks drive me nuts, its a wannabe M14E2 Ohh well, M14E2 would be AWESOME
  24. I smell either an EBR or a M14E2..... Cant wait if its the E2, may have to buy a spare GB and have you tear it apart and do the same so I can snug mine into an EBR stock
  25. I tried to put a year old G&G Veteran stock on mine (with permission from the owner) and it does not fit the CA. With some modification it would have fit but I dont feel like modifying another M14 stock.... The problem is the G&G uses a flexible motor cage mount where as the CA's is static, so you cant move the motor when you put it in which means you cant fit the motor in the grip when its attached.
