  1. Received my two MP5J's yesterday, and 8 spare magazines on Wednesday. Initial notices: - Not a single one of the mags leaked yesterday testing. Need to check how they hold up, and I just might have been lucky. - I could swap front furniture easily. Managed to put a Guarder Large Handguard on without a problem. But swapping back to original handguard, the original handguard started to flex a bit when gripped tight. The handguard issue seems to indicate a good chance for RAS fit, need to order one and check. If it won't fit this, I can always put it on my MC51. Stock was a bit
  2. Have you taken measurements of the front? Would it fit a China-made MP5 RIS/RAS front-end? The news-thread had some speculation that the normal-size MP5 bits (stock, front.end) wouldn't fit. Why not as a primary, too untrustworthy, or something else?
  3. Yup, the issue's fixed. Interesting that forgetting to close a tag can still cause problems...
  4. This thread got so bad with IE7 that I had to install Chrome on my work computer just to be able to read it. (This said, I _shouldn't_ be reading Arnie's at work, but home computer let the smkoke out around Christmas and I have been waiting for new parts since.) So far, the image sizing gets fixed with the DB rebuild. The other stuff, I'm thinking the Admin/Moderator badge skews the render on the board and tries to stuff all the text on the page into or by the left column where the user id is supposed to go. Oddly enough, I don't see the "You are viewing all the posts, change threshol
  5. Seems to me that most often the whitespace breakup happens when Arnie posts in the thread, haven't seen it happen to other people's posts yet. Images appear to be fixing themselves over the time, so it probably was due to post rebuild issue. EDIT: Okay, found other posts that break up in whitespace. F.Ex. Marlowe's post in a locked offtopic thread. Whitespacing wasn't as excessive as with Arnie's posts, though still noticeable. I suspect it has something to do with a box that contains "Currently viewing all posts, change treshold?" in the left bar section. Another problem is the e
  6. Both of these issues seem to have appeared with the board update. The way the images aren't resized automatically means that nearly all of the threads with images posted in them get stretched wide and tall and require scrolling sideways to see the images. I at least find the old system where the images were scaled-to-fit with 'click to view full-size image' option much easier to read. Not sure what is causing the whitespace issue, but for example the thread on missing PMs had Arnie's posts taking up two to three screenheights worth without any apparent content to justify the space. Cou
  7. Might have to do with the board having lost the cookies/database record of what topics you have read in the move, but it'd sure make reading some of the extremely long threads easier.

    KJW M4

Lupus, I have a feeling that KJW wasn't two-piece barrel from somewhere in the beginning few pages of the thread. I think the mods needed were described in the first 10 pages, as well. Something like taking out some tabs.

Meh, I was hoping you'd start doing outer barrels in various profiles. Oh well, everyone and their aunt will have to accept KJW now, I guess, since biggest noise has come from lack of STANAGs. Heck, even I was questioning their lack. Just hope you manage to keep the magazines safe, t_hum, don't want you to be lynched by the judicial system for producing gas-filled grenades.
  10. Having some fun in a local forest... And now I notice I need to get some loops to fix the straps on the rucksack.

The more the merrier, I guess. If enough of us show the money, they might do Diemaco body for us somewhere... C7 or C8 body? Kind of wish that someone came up with outer barrels in different lengths and profiles already.

    KJW M4

If I don't misrecall, the first 500 were serial numbered, and of those, 1-250 had some issue with mag catch that KJW sent spare parts to fix when owners sent them the address and info on their rifle. So I'd say first 250 was one batch, then next 250 were another numbered batch, and after that they have stayed unnumbered, but basically just same design in new batches.

You guys are jumping on wrong fool yelling at Norman. He said he'll get the KJW, instead of the TK Japan exclusive and put the aftermarket parts for TK/J in the KJW when they come available. Metal bodies and conversion kits sound like the way to go for the aftermarket parts. Wonder if someone would put together a full kit to convert KJW M4 into Diemaco C7/C8.

Hmm, quick Q, has any of you KJW owners fitted this SFW barrel to their M4? I assume it would take some minor fitting to get the whole barrel to fit since the KJW didn't utilize outer barrel in assembly method?

Heh, Diemaco Standards? Okay, that's it... When my tax refund comes in December, it's going to KJW fund, unless they manage to rush through the new law that makes airsofts licensed as real firearms here in Finland first. 16" C8SFW would really be rocking. But anyone know if Japan/Taiwan ONLY TK means I have to fly to Japan to buy one of those? That'd sure up the price.

Has anyone got any idea on how KJW'd perform in cold weather? The reports I have had from other Finns about WE and our weather had me pretty much convinced on that, but KJW is looking more and more appealing with "Reliability Inside". Just wish they had standard STANAG magazines so it'd be easier to "dress up" as a service model, I don't think these mags are in standard service anywhere?
  17. I think the difference in 3shot and 1shot comes from certain word in your shotgun names, MODDAN. Namely "Slugster". That means they replicate the slug-firing pump-action "rifles" and not the shotguns. The M500's that are cloned are the multishot versions, Marushin had plenty of variation in their shotgun lineup that had some wildly different specs.
  18. I thnk that'd be like the DEA special someone built. Handguard going all the way over the flashhider. Pretty neat-looking thing, really, except it was also fitted with 9mm conversion, so it wouldn't work with current WEM4.
  19. Only problem is the WW2 planes in WW1 poster...
  20. Of course, one thing to remember in 'skeleton AR' would be the added savings on shipping, since most pay by weight for that. So, even half a pound 'shaved' can amount to some savings when the parcel flies from AB's store to Europe. It'd be less pronounced if you got the kit from a local store, but even locally weight can affect shipping costs.
  21. I'll see about M1100 bits photos when I get home. Mine's in a nice big plastic bag... Waiting for me to get albatrossed into trying to put it back together. Unless someone has a slightly broken Maruzen M870 (gas) that they'd trade for M1100...
  22. Correction: Type number is C8 for the Diemaco carbine. C7 is the rifle. Either one would be good enough for me. As would be more outer barrel length and profile options. Like 16" and 24" and heavy barrels profiles.
  23. Lubricated caplets? Wouldn't that make it more difficult to handle them? The 330fps CO2 setup sounds ideal, should be having steady power and not too hot even when engagement distances shorten rapidly when someone pops up on you from behind a corner... Not to mention all the places where they have rules about muzzle energy to let you play.
  24. Wonder if the German seller will have Semi-only mods of the WE, as stipulated by the German gun laws? Or if they can actually drop the pwoer under 0.5J, at which point everyone over 3 year old may buy one... Yes. Talk about silly laws.
  25. A relevant bit for those of us from EU who'd like to buy their WEM4 from TQM. Their Terms & Services had this little line there. Guess the frigging shipping & handling form Hong Kong is what one has to do. -Sandstorm PS. Sorry for slight necro here (two weeks), had a layoff announcement go off in the company, and had to consider purchasing plans for a while, thus didn't check the terms & services section there.
