  1. The only difference in the open and closed bolt is a different feeding mechanism ( open bolt is more like the classing feeding in a GBB ). The closed bolt design is not less reliable but has more power because it's sealed through the brass tube. If you want "realism" get the open bolt, if you care about power get the closed bolt. Afaik they only introduced the open bolt kit for the PDW which is available now and one for the Scar which i will probably get because the Scar closed bolt design is quite f*cked up. The open bolt might reduce damage to the nozzle which happened whe
  2. I don't know if you have a WE Forum over there. Here some stuff from the german WE Forum. On WE GBBRs it is recommended to use .3 BBs or heavier to get the most power out of the gas. For the open bolt design you need a conversion kit for mags to use them in the open bolt system [ costs 7€ for 2 kits ( feeding mozzle, follower and rubber seal with a different exit ) over here ] They are available either for the PDW style mags or M4 mags and are not interchangable. Broken PDW, M4 or Scar are mostly the product of wrong handling or taking the gun out of the box and using them as you wou
  3. Assuming they added the recoil pad because the bolt is lighter than the closed version it should be a bit more? The output is less, 1.2J with 0.4g Blaster BBs tested in the WE Forum ( quite a waster of energy imo ).
  4. Cooldown is a common problem of all GBBs. BBs not flying very far after releasing quite an amount of gas is no phenomenon. The BBs rolling out of the barrel might be because the rubber hardened because of the cooldown ( obviously the mag isn't the only thing getting cold ) therefore not holding the BB in position as it should?
  5. Everything with a seal can leak. I got one of those. Tried everything mentioned in the WE forum but still it won't stop. Gonna send it back to the shop for replacement. Also have problems with the nozzle rod. It was wobbling in the guide and got scratched so the cycle didn't go smooth. Tried to polish it, didn't really help. Materials on these guns suck sometimes including the mags. If they would work more carefully things like things wouldn't happen. If you are so concerned about leaking mags you better stick with AEGs. You never know when it will happen. Can be when it's brand new or wh
  6. Why not just post pics of both parts to see the difference.
  7. I wonder how long the hinge of the "upper reciever" will hold if you have to disconnect it by bending it slightly out of shape. Can someone post or send me some pics of the kit in the box. I'd like to assess the size of the package and need some for our customs department.
