  1. This happens to me to. When I click for Fast Reply a new tab opens and it is the most recent tab I had closed when browsing through the forums topics. The tab containing the thread I am about to answer to is placed after the new tab.
  2. I got inspired by this thread... So I am making my own grips. I also have another idea, but more of that after I finish with my grips. Anyway, my favorite gun of all times, second comes the H&K USP -keep up the posts! <edit> Error on my part...
  3. Sometimes the good old methods are the best. You dont want to scratch your new beauty, do you?
  4. If you get any glue residue after removing the sticker, use oil and soak the glue in it for a while. Common olive oil or whatever you have in the kitchen. Use a soft cloth and no force, it will come of without a scratch.
  5. I dont know how it compares, but its a great pice -shoots good right out of the box, excellent finish (rip that sticker off), quality materials, close to original, good gearbox, easy swap of springs... well. I dont think you will be disappointed!
  6. Anyone have a clue on where to get the Ares accessories (http://www.aresairsoft.com/g36acc.html)?
  7. New pictures? I can give you any angle you like... Regarding the batteries, I just get a 404...
  8. AFIK the magazines can be used across the G36 line, but some mags are better att feeding than others. New pictures? What do you mean?
  9. Sad that on the interwebs, everyone seems to be a hater. On a forum like this, there should be a more close knit group, but still haters pop up. It seems that as long as you have the option to leave a negative as well as a positive, you will have more of the first by nature...
  10. Awesome colors PlasticMag! What kind of paint do you use?
  11. Thank you! I didnt expect anyone to notice, but you did, immediately! RPS? Meaning what? Remember -Im a noob...
  12. That was really good news Kratisto, I have been looking for a C-barrel. Now I just hope to find a shop that will carry all the H&K G36 accessories from Ares! The barrel retaining nut is steel, but the barrel is not. The barrel is very solid though.
  13. A lot of awesome pictures in this thread, I really liked RacingManiac's grips!
  14. There is no barrel wobble if you tighten the barrel retaining nut. The gas piston assembly may act as some support for the barrel but the barrel is solid enough on its own. My camera is no good and the lightning was bad, but maybe you get the general idea from this picture. The gun has been turned upside down and I unscrewed the barrel retaining nut and pushed it forward (right). To the left is the barrel trunnions (I think its called that?) that fits into a metal piece that is molded into the reciever and that has corresponding grooves, much like the original. And between the barrel and
  15. I would recommend this gun, but then again I am a bit of a newbie, both to the sport and to the forum! I havent owned any other G36 before this, but from my point of view I find the build quality of my G36K to be very good, no gaps or bending anywhere, it feels very very solid. And as pointed out by others in this thread: rip that ugly black and white sticker away -under it are H&K trademarks. The gearbox looked fine when I opened it and it shoots really good. I like the blowback function, but you can easily disable it. I would probably go for a 9,6v, but thats up to your own preferen
  16. If anyone knows where to get spare parts for Umarex/Ares G36-series it would be great, mostly I am looking for a G36C outer barrel.
  17. I just got myself an ARES/Umarex G36K and I wonder if there is a exploded view of the parts floating around anywhere? I had no manual or any kind of papers in my box, just the gun, mag and a loading tube.
