  1. I purchased it from eBay.
  2. Haven't had a chance to fire it yet. But experience tells me that accuracy is going to suck like the rest of the Tanakas.
  3. My latest Tanaka: M29 4" Heavy Weight with S&W stock target grips. The gun came with smaller wood grips, but I thought those looked too tiny on the big N-frame. So I swapped them with S&W wood grips to get that classic M29 look. A few hours of Photoshopping and here it is!
  4. I'm sure you're aware that silenced revolvers only exist in movies.
  5. Actually, no airsoft gun is meant for killing people.
  6. Actually I think all of the Tanaka revolvers require the nozzle.
  7. Yes, indeed, either ivory or wood. If you go for ivory then you'll probably have to settle for imitation ivory as real ones are too expensive. As for the gas nozzle, I usually try to hold it as vertical as possible. Gas spillage is common, and you can tell when the cylinder is full because more gas than usual will spill out.
  8. Very nice. But my M629 Classic 8-3/8" is bigger
  9. Great to see you're happy with it. From the photos the gun looks really nice. So the accuracy isn't too bad? I just might get one someday.
  10. I'm glad you got yours.
  11. That depends on the brand. Some revolvers such as the Marushin ones fire six shots before reloading, while others like Tanaka you can load up to 18 (depending on the model) shots.
  12. My newly acquired Tanaka S&W M629 Classic 8-3/8" with S&W factory target grips.
  13. Well I'm glad now that you could sleep better at night.
  14. Damn you, Shao, you and all your questions! The .500 Magnum is the most powerful handgun round to date. As for 10mm versus .45 ACP: a 170-grain 10mm round travels at 1300 FPS, while a 230-grain .45 ACP round is at 860 FPS. So you do the math!
  15. Yes, most .357 revolvers can also chamber the .38; the .38 has a slightly shorter shell casing and it's not as powerful as the .357. There's no such thing as a .38 magnum, at least not that I'm aware of. The bullet diameter of a .45 ACP is nearly the same as a .44 Magnum, but it's nowhere as powerful as the .44. Some people consider the .50 Action Express, or .50AE used in the Desert Eagle, a .50 magnum. Also the newly developed .500 Magnum used in the S&W M500 revolver, is a .50 magnum. Does that help?
  16. The "6" means stainless. And the M66 is not just a .38, but a .357 also.
  17. Yes, it's a .44, and it should perform about the same as the 6".
  18. No, the M66 is a .357, just like its blued sibling the M19. And it seems that the bigger the cylinder the more power it yields (for Tanaka at least). So if you want the most power then get the M29, M500, Super Redhawk series.
  19. I can only guess that the M66 will perform more or less the same as the M65, since the two share the same type of cylinder. And you know how the M65 perform, don't you? There's a review of the M66 in the reader's review section.
  20. Welcome Bruce Willis. Only the Tanaka revolvers use the Pegasus system. There are a few brands that use cartridges. Among them are Marushin, Marui and KWC. While I don't have any experience with Marui or KWC, I did own a Marushin Ruger Super Redhawk 7.5". I'd say of the three the Marushins are the most powerful and are better in terms of build quality.
  21. Alright, I've conducted a test with HFC22 gas and 0.2g BBs under similar conditions. The average velocity was 295 FPS, with a high of 306 and a low of 267. Note with the stronger gas there wasn't any drastic deviations like with 134 gas. Gas efficiency was cut in half with around 120 shots per charge. The discharge "pop" was significantly louder, equaling to that of a GBB pistol. The accuracy, or should I say inaccuracy, remained unchanged. At 10 feet, I would get six-shot groupings of 1.5 to 2.0 inches at times while other times they would spread as large as 4.0 inches. I also exper
  22. Colt Defender and Wilson Combat Professional, both with wood grips.
  23. Yes, I agree it's useless. Most rep points posted do not relate to sales at all. They're mostly "dis bl0ke iz funy 1 r3p poin 4u."
  24. You revolver freak! I myself had 9 revolvers pass through my hands in the past 3 years. Eight Tanakas and one Marushin. I sold most of them and I have only 2 now.
