  1. Western Arms never attends any shows.....and sure you're all bored as hell with new 1911 variants.
  2. Basically the owner of Marui is the one who chooses what guns get made, so if he likes that model that's the model that gets made, there is no real method to Marui's releases. Erm nope no comments made on the 5-7
  3. The PC356 will be a GBB (ALthough they wouldn't give a straight answer) Mac 11 will be an AEP
  4. hahahahaha, about 3,000 JPY I think. They can be bought at Toys R Us though for the same.
  5. The real stuff Also this year for the first time was the JSDF recruitment team, now I couldn’t believe just how much traffic these guys were getting and I also witnessed three guys signing up there and then! I had a pretty good chat with the guys working the stand and they informed me that last year was the best year for new recruits they have had in a long time, this could possibly be down to the Japanese constitution changing and allowing Japanese Self Defense Force to carry out Peace Keeping missions abroad, which the youth of Japan feel very positive about. Not
  6. MODIFY It was also a perfect opportunity to meet up with one or two of the companies that have supported Arnie’s Airsoft in 2007. Modify had a few surprises in store with their new “Top Gear” range of modular gears, these are apparently the fastest gear sets on the market at the moment. One cool little feature is that they have solved the problem that many of us have with high speed gear sets and the striping of pistons. Take a look at the new style piston!!! Also they have packaged complete sets for all types of weapons, meaning that you can just pick up
  7. Tanio Koba Stand Tanio Koba was also at the show, again showing off his gas blow back Canadian C8 M4. I was also able to ask him about product release dates and pricing as well as the versions he intends to release. As of now the release date is Spring but due to the huge interest and the fact that he will be producing HFC134a, CO2 and Propane versions of this weapon no current pricing scheme is in place. Also having fired this weapon on HFC134a they have the same amount of range as a gas gun firing on the same, but as we know with improved inner barrels and a bette
  8. The overall finish of the AKM is pretty good, although the only thing that places this on a wish list is the blow back, but veterans of the sport will know that Guarder actually came up with the idea some time ago, which Marui has copied. Saying that I was able to pick up the Guarder kit for my AK at a bargain price! Also you will be pleased to know that the weapon is actually full metal construction. Also one the stand were the usual “Old Hat” items that Marui has been displaying for the last 3 years. But this time the MAC 11 and Smith
  9. The Black Hole Show January 2008 Well it’s that time of year again where the loons that love the sport head out to Tokyo for the biannual Black Hole Show. This year’s show took place over the 5th and 6th of January and needless to say I grabbed my camera and headed on in to the city for the event. Now over the years I have been to the show I have reported that it has got worse, this year was no different and the show was dominated by booths selling rebranded Chinese copies and German Nazi memorabilia, which out of personal views I avoided like the plague. This year’
  10. Dytac has released 120rd version of the standard M4 magazine. Check the reviews as I wrote one on them.
  11. In closing these products are currently available from the following retailers: Stryke Airsoft RedWolf Airsoft
  12. Echo 1 USA Multicam 190 round magazine The final product in this review is the Echo 1 USA Multicam 190 round magazine. Now these are 100% metal and to the exact same standards as the Tokyo Marui version. The coating is great but I found that they were a very tight fit in most if not all of my M16/M4 variants and the only weapon that I didn’t need to force it into was the A&K M249 Para. This means that the magazine will receiver considerable wear and tear along the back spin of the magazine and thus the hydrographic coating will wear off. Again the feeding nozzl
  13. Echo 1 USA Multicam 5 position crane stock Now out of all the pieces this has to be my favourite, now please note this is not a battery stock but is one of the models that can be modified to take a battery. (See my walkthrough on how to modify a crane stock by following the link in my signature) The actual stock mould is of excellent quality and fabric with no visible seam lines. The latch spring on the adjuster isn’t too tight which allows the operator to quickly adjust the stock position. The stock also comes with a rubber butt pad as standard; although this
  14. Echo 1 USA Multicam HK style pistol grip Now this is a really nice piece of kit, the HK 416D style pistol grip is one of my favourites on the market. I found the ergonomics and shape very agreeable and didn’t cause my wrist to ache after a day or two on the skirmish fields. Now I would like to point out that one of the features of Multicam is the non repetition of the patterns, so please don’t freak out when you receive a product that is very bland. Remember its part of the bigger scheme. As you can see, one side of the grip has a good selection of the colours and p
  15. Echo 1 USA Multicam Parts Review This is the third in a series of reviews on parts coated in Crye Precision’s Multicam Hydrographic Film. This time we bring you a review on Echo 1 USA’s parts. Now many of you commented when I first posted this news on the forums that you were worried that this might possibly be fake. I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that the film is the authentic CRYE hydrographic film! Echo 1 is very famous for rebranding other products or licensing products from Japan to be sold in the US at a lower cost than other importers, so how doe
  16. Yes they are all part of the Echo1 Multicam range pre-coated in Official CRYE Multicam hydrographic film. Im currently writing a review on them that should go up very soon.
  17. Thats eactly what I have, I think...it might be a 1500 though I will need to check.
  18. To be honest swiss cheesing a piston is going to do much to get the ROF up. You're going to pretty much switch over all the gears and place a new motor in it.
  19. Hahahaha, Cheers for the coment but I actualy have a little more accessories that go on there so the mount is perfect.
  20. This is a picture thread....lets keep on topic please..... And so I don't break the rules myself:
  21. I rebuilt mine with 100% systema High speed gears and Magnum motor.
  22. The guy on the right is Japanese, i'm 6 foot 3 and he is pretty average for a Japanese guy. So i guess your stereotypical attitudes of the Japanese is rather off when it comes to stature. The reason this gun might not be popular is for one reason only. It is only used by the JSDF. Thats it and not many people replicate that look. So unless you are going for JSDF look then this will only appeal to collectors or members wanting to modify the gear box for other weapons.
  23. Hahahahahaha yeah thanks for that Bro! Not sure why I missed that typo. Totaly agree, both options would be awesome to have, also without the DYTac logo would be better. Likewise, it's actually something I mention in my review of the VFC SCAR and I also brought it up with the VFC team.
