  2. KWA has been a mess, organizationally, for the last year or so. God only knows what's going on. They still sell the Vector over a year after KRISS allegedly pulled their licensing rights, which means either that they've just decided to keep selling them until a court orders them to stop, or that KRISS jumped the gun in their announcement and weren't able to actually pull the rights from KWA due to contractual reasons. There could be other reasons, of course, but those are the two most likely scenarios. The real reason all the drama went down wasn't evident until early this year when KR
  3. Whatever happened to this? P.S. I posted something of a long Kriss post-mortem, mostly a summary of the License revoke, as well as bulleted review culled from my thoughts in this thread, at my blog. Hit the link below.
  4. Random update: The gun performed admirably on duster in the 300fps range in 22-25C weather for three hours. Enough to not warrant me doing a dangerwerx valve install... for now.
  5. What's your MED on that thing?
  6. Honestly, at this point I think I would wait till spring/summer and see if KWA does some kind of promo players package with an extra mag included, similar to the deals they ran with the MP7. The temps in Belgium at the moment are not going to be friendly to the Vector.
  7. This is actually a pretty great comparison. You can pretty clearly see the difference, with the Kriss venting all over the place, meanwhile look at that mp7 running like a champ! Does anyone have any thoughts on mitigating this problem? Aftermarket gas route buckings for the mags? Using RC shock oil instead of pure silicone?
  8. It's so weird going on youtube and seeing "reviews" of the KWA KRISS Vector and saying it's a perfect gun, with zero faults. But, I guess that's why arnies is the best airsoft resource on the internet, eh? The KRISS Vector has a lot to like, particularly the robust (as to be expected) build quality. After 2500+ rounds I couldn't see really any wear on the nozzle, which was pretty pleasantly surprising. It really seems like it was built to last. So far my previous concerns about the charging handle have proven to be unfounded, but then I hardly touch it anyways. As I've mentioned ea
  9. ....why would they put something on there that isn't on the real steel?
  10. Skirmished today (indoor warehouse CQB, 40F-50F degrees ambient). The gun had a hard time keeping up after 30 minutes or so as bolt/mags/propane started to get cold, lots of venting, moderate-to-severe ROF and cycling issues. It really doesn't handle cooldown all that great. FPS was 330ish. May try to look in to some chem hand warmer solutions. Otherwise performed flawlessly. It doesn't really like the cold though.
  11. Got a link for this? Google didn't seem to return any concrete results. Also have experienced sticky bolt issues here.
  12. There's a hex screw above the "V" cap you have to get out first, pop that out, then the v cap. Separate the upper receiver from the lower receiver (very difficult to thread the pressure switch through the slot if you don't) then install the light adaptor and light. It will be a tight fit, so make sure you don't press the surefire clone too far down into the well (IE flush with the adaptor) or else you'll have a hell of a time trying to get the light out once the time comes to replace the battery or whatever. The adaptor itself has another hex screw to keep the flashlight inside it captive, tho
  13. Chemically they are exactly the same except for propane has a federally-mandated odorant added, while green gas has a varying amount of silicon added. If you add a little bit of silicon to your propane adaptor, and are willing to open up the gun every two-or-three times to clean and relube (which is honestly something you should be doing even while using green gas), you should have no problem. If you plan to use your GBB a lot, the savings you'll get from using huge bottles of >$4 propane compared to 8oz green gas bottles at <$11 will add up pretty quickly.
  14. Got mine today, mucked around with it a bit. Never used the real steel before so forgive the comments on ergoes, whatnot. Also will probably say things that have already been said. Most of this will also be nitpicky, haha. • Echoing remarks about the hop up adjustment system. The plastic teeth of the adjuster, combined with the fact that the tool they provide is metal, made me extremely frustrated, I couldn't seem to get the teeth to align to each other and didn't want to apply force to it when it wasn't. BUT, A SOLUTION! Though the manual says you should hold the bolt back the entire time
  15. You were still able to run batteries in the stock, right?
  16. Question for the oracles. Would a better quality stock (such as a G&P crane or something) work on a rear-wired SOPMOD (converted to deans), or are you strictly limited to the Marui Crane and Mod stocks?
  17. Learnings: This fits, barely: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/hot-power-11-1v-1600mah-12c-lithium-battery-crane-type.html This does not fit: http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/gandp-ep-power-11-1v-1200mah-20c-lithium-battery-t-plug.html
  18. Along the same lines, has anyone come across a 11.1 lipo that fits in the stock of a rear-wired SOPMOD?
  19. So who's gonna be the first airsofter with a Team Wendy Helmet?
  20. Used a real-steel serpa in my Marui PX4. Fit perfectly.
  21. You really need to tone down your intake of the KWA kool-aid, greatwatermelon. This looks like a nice piece but let's not kid ourselves (or try to deceive others), that this is some spectacular, KWA-pixie-dust-sprinkled, ground-up design GBBR. It's a WA-system gun with all-steel internals, not exactly a revolution.
