I got one in as well..contemplating keeping it.

Picked up an Eagle MPCH all MOLLE version: L-R Paraclete GPS Paraclete Canteen Paraclete M4 (3x) RLCS Icom Paracle 9mm I really like the LBT 1961G/Eagle MPCH except for the magazine and GP pouches...which are next to useless. I really like the all MOLLE version except I wish it was 500D, and I wish they put webbing on the velcro sleeve which IMO is useless anyways. Webbing would be great to attach a PTT too...notice the rubber bands.

BAE does own SDS...I figured earlier would have SDS on them but I guess thats not true.

I managed to luck out and pick out probably the two most "modern" headset systems out now... Invisio M3: I found this brand new, however it had a little screw in 3.5mm connector that I removed and replaced with the Nexus TP120. It works perfectly, no impedance issues that I have found. Audio is crisp clear on both RX and TX. Silynx QuietOps I picked this up in a batch of FSBE gear, and really only got the gear for this. All of the Sabers are more or less the same size. They fit okay in an MBITR pouch.

They also make IR versions of them to interface with NVGs. They are called "mic lights" or "lip lights" because they are designed to sit on your mic and be activated with your lip...when you are flying at 1000 mph you probably dont want to be fiddling with a handlight.

I have all 3, they fit equally well.

Made myself a dual comm PTT: Switch decides which radio you are broadcasting to...receives from both regardless of switch position. Its hard to see, but its on the right (left hand side if PTT is on you). Will probably rip off one of the Icoms (the one on the left), and stick a Yaesu plug on.

Doesnt look like theres a mic to go with them either

Bane, Guns are absolutely not made to the lowest bidder. There are a lot of factors going into deciding who gets what contract, and price is a large factor, but it is by no means the largest factor. Look at who makes them now...its not DPMS. I have never heard (not to say it doesnt happen) a complaint about the build quality of an issued M4, design quality? Now thats a separate area. Bigbaby, that is an MSA Icom PTT. I just sold one for $160ish on eBay...if you need a custom PTT for a radio (or if you want an Icom to match that PTT) PM me and I can hook you up..
