  1. I've tried the Gen 2 stuff (both Combat BDUs and Chassis)... I'm not a big fan of the Gen 2 combat BDUs. I still prefer the Gen 1 Combat BDUs. Those stretchy parts on the Gen 2 pants aren't very robust.

"not robust" as in "will actually rip apart" or just "stretches WAY too much?"

  2. I took the EGLM from a Star SCAR I bought, I'm trying to sell the Star SCAR itself...

Still trying to figure out what the heck to do with the battery situation - I always thought fuses were a good thing in case you overload the system (bio/pre-med major, knows nothing about electrics/mechanical stuff), I do agree that there's TOO much wiring in the stock though. I put a charged battery in the other day and it won't fire...

am still trying to figure out what the heck to do about the crooked front sight...

EDIT: Thank god for weightlifting, managed to force the front sight into a more straight position...

just found out that I can fire the gun, the selector switches still seem to be finicky...

just got my VFC FN SCAR-L in today...and had quite a few gripes...

1 - front sight block is crooked - well it won't really matter because I will be getting a reflex sight...or I can just order another from VFC directly...

2 - you can really only use an 8.4v battery in the stock, a 9.6 will prevent it from collapsing from 6 to 1 positions...

3 - changing the barrel was a pain in the *albatross*...I'm pretty sure I tore up the hop up rubber while trying to install the CQC inner barrel, and some parts are missing from the diagram...looks like I'm getting this checked out at the armorer's after school gets out...

  4. I dunno, haven't tried yet, but we'll see...

I lost two of the RAS pins for the upper RAS, so I'm going to contact them to see what they can do...

G&P just released a autowinder box mag, anyone want to pick one of those up and do a review? If it doesn't need to be connected to the gun itself to wind I'm stoked...

  5. sorry for the necro post, I just field tested it yesterday, this gun is totally awesome, I pretty much had the same experience as marimba, pinning down whole groups of guys behind cover

Only problems other than lack of safety (temporarily fixed with an internal switch) is that the box mag is kinda big, and a little awkward to get your arm around, unless you have a vertical grip installed on the front end. The box mag seats a little too well when clipped on so I had to use a heck of a lot of force to get it loose, or maybe it's just my weakness showing through.

Ranger Stubbs hows that box mag conversion going for you?
