  1. So. After about 5 months of waiting for KY to get the parts in stock, I got my recoil spring guide parts today. Unfortunately, because I ordered the complete assembly, it came pre-assembled And this one was tightly screweed in/glued as well, but not as bad as my original one. So I managed to get the screws out and the spring off. Then I went to find my Team GBB MP5K recoil spring that I had in a bag in the closet. Turns out, not surprisingly I guess, that the MP5K recoil spring is significantly shorter than the MP5A2/A3 recoil spring... So all this work for absolutely nothing
  2. Hmm... Interesting. I would have thought they made that pin out of steel. Cheap fukks
  3. Not a fan of your wood ( ) but nice job on the rail piece!
  4. I took the liberty of enhancing the WE exploded view image a little bit. Removed the WE logo from the background, added some thicker and sharper lines.
  5. I did, and I tried, and it would not come out. I pushed it down all the way flush, pushed both ways. Pushed it down on one side, tried driving it out the other, and then to the other side, and I pushed it down and applied force with a punch, pushed it down and wiggled it while trying to move side to side, etc... And it did not come out. Even if I did get it out, I am worried about getting it back on again Also FYI I fixed the loose rear sight fit with a couple of layers of aluminum tape on the BBU nub that seats in the bottom of the rear sight.
  6. WE exploded view image is now working and higher resolution than KY Airsoft. http://www.weairsoft.com/media/wysiwyg/de-1.jpg BTW I recorded my slide disassembly and reassembly video today and I could not get the front sight off. Tried some different tehcniques but decided to leave it be.
  7. Looks like it's a part of his magnet kit (the white sticks) and not an actual item in the box of the gun
  8. Cybergun/WE Desert Eagle .50AE unboxing & review video:

  9. Yeeh I was thinking about trying to shoot it with the 220 PSI Guarder gas but not sure if that is such a good idea
  10. Got some chrono readings for ya'll! Did two chrono sessions with two full magazines worth of gas. Let the magazine go back to ambient room temp (2-3 hours) between tests. Shot count and high FPS differences are probably due to magazine being in different places in my apartment when going to ambient temp between tests and not filling the magazine with the same amount of gas between tests, and it being a brand new can of gas. Pretty impressive consistency and average both within each session and between the two sessions. Basic Information Manufacturer: Cybergun/WE Model: Desert Ea
  11. FYI be carefull trying to remove the magazine release button screw. On min the screw was of poor quality and held in with the cheap glue threadlocekr and the head snapped clean off with minimal force so now I am gonna have to drill it out and replace
  12. Tokyo Marui has the PDF manuals on their website: https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=ja&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Ftokyo-marui.co.jp%2Fsupport%2Fmanuals%2F&edit-text= http://tokyo-marui.co.jp/support/manuals/ HK 45: http://www.tokyo-marui.co.jp/pdf/p_pdfmanual_170802100053.pdf HK 45 Tactical: http://www.tokyo-marui.co.jp/pdf/p_pdfmanual_171212155926.pdf
  13. Ah, had no idea you could get the source image like that. How did you do that?
  14. Yeh those dang shell latch arms... Spent many hours and times disassembling mine using trial and error to find the perfect angle and bend of those things. Sometimes the functionality, or it not functioning, is also dependant on the force you use to rack the action since the steel that the shell latch arms are made of has some flex under stress. Definately one of the more annoying things with this shotgun. The real ones probably has higher grade less flexible steel material and the arms are also staked in place in the reciever. Think I have like 3 sets of spares laying around for when I can
  15. I asked KY on Facebook if they could clarify what kind of coating/finish is on the chrome WEagle.
  16. Hmmm... Before I read the text I was about to say "damn that looks good!". And I still think it does. Still gonna go for silver model
  17. Happy to report that I got the slide reassembled without any issues. Probably one of the simplest and easiest designs to disassemble and ressemble that I have experienced so far. Also had the magazine apart, nothing problematic about that either. Going to try the frame later on and see how that goes. From the exploded view diagram it doesn't look overly complicated either And I think I have a potential buyer lined up for my black WEagle so I can get the chrome one
  18. I aksed KY Airsoft about it on Facebook and they said they would inform WE of this but I highly doubt that there will be any changes to the chrome version as they were most likely machined along side the black ones but then were delayed due to the difference in finishing process. Also don't think the shallow weaver cuts is big enough of a fook up for WE to adjust the machining process anyways.
  19. Ah, cool. I actually think it feels really smooth and "pleasant" but just noticed it was way different than most other triggers and what I would think a pistol trigger should feel like.
  20. I am not going down that road again with my airsoft builds But it does sound interesting with a steel slide I guess. Also plus points on the chrome model that the controls look more uniform in finish to the rest of the gun compared to the black one. Chrome XIX railed model with Hogue finger groove grip... *drewl* Also forgot to say that the trigger on this is pretty mweh. Very light and mushy feel with no real break. And, after handling the pistol yesterday I have to say the size and grip was not as daunting and uncomfortable as I first expected. Definately not small and
  21. Yeah I did notice that. Makes sense as you say but also I realized since the slide that actually moves during blowback is pretty limited compared to normal pistol designs it kind of makes sense from that perspective as well. Also feeling a bit bummed out that right after I get my black one delivered the chrome model is officially released now I may just have to get me a chromed out WEagle and sell of this black one
  22. Well... not even 12 hours after I got it. I went and did this. Why you may ask? And to that I say, why not? Cleaning, re-lubrication, checking screws and curiosity. Slide is pretty easy to disassemble. Every screw I removed had Chinese "thread locker" on it, i.e. white hardened "glue". Gonna paint the safety dots red before re-assembly. Not really necessary to take it apart to do but I tend to make a mess when filling in those tiny dots
  23. Ah, cool, thanks! Just realized I misread your superglue thingy that you did on the _rear sight_as the front sight, hence the question Any exploded views available for this gun yet? EDIT: KY to the rescue! https://www.kyairsoft.com/shop/product/desert-eagle-21-47373 WE has a dead link currently on their site: http://www.weairsoft.com/media/wysiwyg/de_parts.jpg EDIT: I zoomed in and screendumped the KY exploded view interactive image and composited it in Photoshop to an image, reduced some noise, refined some edges and added sharpening
  24. I test fired mine in my apartment in 22C and 30% humidity with ASG 140-ish PSI gas, so not really Scandinavian winter conditions. Makes sense with the BBs. I also have some of the Guarder 220PSI gas on hand but not sure I dare try it How does one get to that front sight post grub screw? Removing the screwed on block under the barrel assembly in the front gives access?
