Nooooooooooooooooooo, is it just me or does the H look "wrong".. The barrel is way too long IMHO.. I prefer the look of the CQC... Over to the SCAR thread... lol

Ok, since I can't check now, is the SOCOM barrel held the same way as that of the SOPMOD? My sopmod barrel was uber rock solid with zero barrel movement and no wobble at all.

Kenny, was there lots of barrel wobble with the stock barrel base then before the DD rail went on? Or does the weight of the DD Lite rail cause that much problems with the barrel base?

Sad news.. I am SOPMOD-less now....I let her go today, however I know she's gone to a good airsofter..... So it's over to my SOCOM..... time to pimp out that bad bad girl now.... Question is, do I bank the money or accidently pick up a SCARL CQC? decision, decisons...

Akira on reflection ... well I suppose the AN/PEQ15 does look pretty cool with the laser and the LEDS, but does it take a normal LIPO battery? Kenny the Troy battle sights do look good.... you know that baby needs a Surefire M900/M910 Vertical grip weapons light

I've just realised I have a VLTOR flip of sight/gas block.... that may prevent me putting batteries into the rail...... what a PITA that could be.... The last thing I want to use is a PEQ as I just don't like em.....

Kenny... am Diggin that DD rail... is that the 9inch lite rail? Looks almost like the RECCE rifle Batteries seem a perfect fit... I'll have to keep those in mind when I slap the rail onto the SOCOM too...

You know you want to play with the internals... go on.... how can you resist the temptation? lol So in theroy, everyshot with the mosfet should be the same as the gears all recyle to the same point which means the piston will always be in the same place for each new shot? So the fps should be very consistent?

There's a great review of the AWS mosfett in this months Airsoft international. Makes for a good read. Looking forward to installing the socom version when it arrives. Do we have an ETA?

All Tac mods are done by standard to it (hop mod, motor rewind & moisture proofing)....First thing I noticed when when I picked it up was how heavy it was... feels really solid and very well built. Cannot fault the quality at all..... Trigger response is insane and the burst function superb brought a smile to my face. The cylinder change takes 30secs (not that I have a spare cylinder lol). The black cylinder is tuned to about 345fps on 0.2g. You can add metal shims to fine tune the fps further. I added one shim and fps jumped to 360plus. Then tried a fatter shim and it went to about 375f

Gentlemen I hear you and for what it's worth I agree... the next gen recoil platform is superb..... I came back into Airsoft this year after a long break and when I left in 2005, the TM brand was nothing to shout home about..... in those days it was all Classic Army and ICS and Systema tune up kits.... There was talk of a mysterious Systema PTW and it was all the rage in 2005-2006 if I recall...no one had one, no one could get one unless you were in Japan and the US. If I remember, they cost about £600 plus and that was far above the most expensive TM which I think was about £250'ish..... Anyw

I'll still have my SOCOM so I ain't fled the fold Akira, it's a bloomin good deal considering UK prices and the gun is only 2 months old and had about 400 bbs passed through it.... If it's not for me, well i'll simply sell it on.....

The SOCOM just gives more options and the plus point is different battery configurations are available.... If I need to do something different, i'll just get different uppers....... and besides something else is calling me too which I can't resist........

Hold the press... i'm considering selling my SOPMOD! Am gonna strip the sopmod back to vanilla though but leave the eagle M100 in... Sell the SOPMOD lipo battery seperately. However, I'm gonna keep my SOCOM and put the pommy parts into it. May also get rid of my Masada PTS as I don't use her.......
