Maybe its time for that trip to JDs to make my purchase...

My personal use Osprey. I got this back in 2003, Pieces me orf how heavy it is but at the same time I've seen its protection 1st hand compared to some of the Yank *suitcase* they get issued. So I used it every day without fail from that point and still use it now both for work and Airsofting not quite "DPM" as such but my Osprey is, the Mk6a is too heavy to use for airsofting, so I made this.. You should prolly oil it just to be safe.. like a thin coat enough to become satin rather than being glossy! will protect the metal underneath! +1 Dan! Get some decent gun oil on there, or even a 3-in-1 (http://www.coupondad.net/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/3-in-1-oil.gif) and rub it down with a peice of kitchen roll. not only does 3-in-1 prevent but also removes most surface rust with enough elbow grease and force..

Ok cool! I've never tried nor ever intended too.. but now you say that I might take that detour around firebase 3 at my local site.. directly via the stream! the only people I know who have are snipers and GBBr's which fire perfectly well afterwards. Cool!
