  1. Hey guys.

I just put up a new YouTube video regarding this pistol. I don't think it will settle any of the discussions going on here but I do an unboxing, share information and my opinion of it and "compare" it to the KWC 1911 CO2 pistol.

    Check it out:

Jesus, the hammer dropping when you click the safety off...... that is BAD.

  2. sounds like the same problem source, just different symptom, the hammer wont catch, but instead of falling and running full auto, its falling and not releasing gas instead, maybe theres some bit of friction that's just preventing it going auto

Good guess, I'd add that something in the valve knocker is f...ed so it gets stuck and thus doesn't strike the valve again.

Incidentally, for the valve knocker to resist the impact from the hammer without hitting the valve hard enough to go full auto...something is wrong.

  3. So I was suposed to make a review video of my WE M&Ps yesterday. Took em out only to find none of them function properly.

The black one has the burst fire issue, known fix.

However my tan one does something completely different.

Gas up the magazine, insert magazine, rack slide, pull trigger. Pistol fires, blows back, goes back into battery and the valve knocker jams up against the magazine valve and I have to forcefully remove the magazine (leaks some gas when removed).

The hammer is not cocked after that.

Have to insert magazine, rack the slide again, fires again and then same as above.

This works for 3-4 shots then the magazine is empty or just dumps the gas.

    Any ideas ? :o

    Amazing quality by WE :P

My best guess would be the valve knocker or the spring that resets it being bent/broken/overall destroyed. Also something must be wrong with the hammer.

Try racking the slide again, see if that resets the valve knocker or whatever happens.

Other guesses, the part that catches the hammer is worn out or something is very wrong with the hammer or valve knocker.

Sad to see this pistol fail so miserably...

  4. Quick questions:

-Is the trigger steel? I ask because my KWA USPC's trigger broke, and it had a VERY low round count.

-How's the thing holding up to use? I mean a few thousand shots, not a few hundred.

I'm thinking of picking one up...but those things are expensive.

  5. Try Tercel 1911a1 screws, the heads are thinner by about 1.5mm, then just cut the threads down. Nice looking piece  B)  and the correct thumb safety. Where did you source that?

Sorry to re-post the pics in my quote but don't know how to stop it

Thanks for the suggestion. If you happen to come across a NOVA/PGC frame to spare, do tell : P. I sourced the thumb safety in the good nature of Mr.Hwagan, original owner of the piece.

To remove the pictures, edit the quote. Select the picture and just hit delete.

It feels so weird to have a metal slide but plastic framed 1911...

  6. File down those screws?

If I filed down the screws to the point where they sat flat, there'd be nothing left to screw... literally all of the head screw is out of the grip.

Get a less chewed up pencil to hold it up? :P

Though as for the screws not sure, I think Mike at ESC had a set of thinner grip screws for sale but can't recall if he has them any more.

Failing that try US shops, your local hardware storee for similar ones or file / cut down what you have?

    'FireKnife'

    NEVER, that's the official pistol-holding-pencil.

Again, I won't file those. so yeah, time to search for some screws.

On a related note, when nighthawk says SLIM grips, they're not kidding.

  7. KWA CZ75 with wood grip.

I'm having trouble with it. it keep fires in full auto.. :(

    Bullet is dummy.

It's the trigger bar not being pressed down enough.

It's due to wear on the BBU or the trigger bar itself.

IF you cycle the slide pressing down on it, the full auto doesn't happen (dry firing it, obviously). Happened to me as well.

  8. LOL. Yes, it is front heavy. I put everything together out of boredom. Most likely not going to run the gun in this configuration. The switch is for the light and laser unit.

Perhaps if you put the PEQ further back and put the handstop a couple of cm further back so your arm needs to be less stretched to grab the rail that could help. Really loving the magpul carbine setup.

Also, a question, did that handstop come with the URX?

  9. Just what is that vert grip/flashlight combo? I'm really liking that, very unique.

My tripod plate magically disappeared, so the nice pictures I was going to take couldn't be done. Meh, it's only half way done building now, got some more real steel and not so real steel gubbins on the way. My indoor GBBR, again-

    Good stuff, I like it.
