  1. I just took it apart, and using some pliers i bent the ejection port cover very slightly, just so it would make a more positive contact with the release/lock post. Worked perfectly, just bend the corner a little.
  2. Well, so far i've managed to fit these 2 LiPo's: Main Battery 100x35x7mm http://www.combatevirtual.com/es/lipo/1219-hot-power-lipo-74v-1600mah-15c.html Backup Battery 120x23x8mm http://eagle6.co.uk/shop/firefox-7-4v-1200mah-20c-split-pack-lipo.html Anything bigger than those won't fit, and will press too much against the barrel so i opted for smaller, less powerful batteries. It's really tight inside that RIS, and one advice i can give you is that you should remove the wire wrench lever from the barrel, it will give much more room to fiddle with, but it's still very much claust
  3. Thank you very much, SQUEEK! I'll get on it as soon as i have the time, and will post the results after. Thanks again!
  4. Hey everybody! Well, after a few weeks, my ACR has given me my first problem... The fire select lever gets stuck on each of the 3 settings, and only moves if i press the lever itself (opposite from rotation axis) against the receiver. It makes this click noise that sounds like it's freeing itself from something and then it works as it should. In reality, this actually works good for me since this way there's no accidental safety off and such, but should i be concerned? And how do i fix it? Thanks!
  5. My ACR on the move... On the prowl...
  6. I just used a hex key, 1mm i think, and bang on it with a rubber mallet.
  7. Great job, Morgy! Luckily, in my case only the outer quarter of the figure 8 nub (half of the hollow half) was torn apart, so i was able to reverse it and still get a good firm grip on the hop up arm, leaving the solid half to do the pressure on the rubber. But if (when) it eventually comes out, i'll surely give your method a try! Thanks!
  8. So you recommend this intead of a slightly bigger spring?
  9. Thanks for the info, SHWEL! Now for one more question to all you guys: I need to increase it's FPS. The Portuguese limit is 375fps (1.3J), and although i haven't put it through a Chrony yet, i figure it comes stock with the 1J spring (340/350fps) and so i was wondering which spring would you recommend for the extra 25/35fps, without putting too much strain on the motor. Thanks in advance!
  10. By the way SHWEL, i just bought today one of those Firefox 7.4v LiPo's to use in the ACR RIS handguard. How do you rate them? Had any problems? I'll be using a single (2 cell) battery, not a parallel setup. Thanks!
  11. Thanks XRider. Backtracking the topic made me realize that i hadn't recessed the nub when re-inserting the barrel. I'm on the alert for that that now.
  12. Hmm, i can't tell exactly, but i would say we currently have around 150 teams, but i'm just guessing by looking at our main airsoft forum's (ptairsoft.org)team directory. What i can say is that i notice it's defenitly growing. I've been playing for 4 years now, and every Sunday i see more people trying it out for the 1st time. People from all ages too, and the online and physical stores are multiplying too. It's a good time to open up a store. About the sites, i suppose we have plenty for those 150 teams. About every team has it's own training grounds, We have lush woods in the north, so
  13. Well, the RIS arrived today so here she is in her final form. Now let's see how this turns out in the long run... Sorry for the lousy pic quality...DAMN YOU, crappy 70€ phone! Thanks for all the info!
  14. I fixed it! Luckily, the "figure 8" nub was torn only half way on one of the loops, so i was able to reverse it and fit the torn half in the actuator arm, leaving the solid (no hole in the middle) part exposed to the hop rubber. Since it lacks the hole, it is more rigid and therefore may explain the terrific hop sensitivity i'm experiencing now! Perhaps the simple reversing of the nub solves the stock hop sensitivity issue some are having... Sorry but i could't take pics of the damaged part and hop up unit, because i'm taking these with my crappy 70€ phone, which obviously lacks macro
  15. I'm gonna try and glue the closest fit on top of the remaining nub. This is a really estrange design. The nub is shaped like an 8, and half of it sits tighs in the descending arm. In my case, the exposed half got ripped out....i just can´t figure out when and why!
