  1. Those two rectangular holes towards the front of the frame I'm sure aren't there on the plastic frame so I'd say that's where the new inner barrel/hop assembly will secure.

It also has to come as a complete kit because it won't work at all with one or the other.

Wonder if it will be a reasonable price like most of VFCs upgrade parts......fingers crossed.

  2. Now those outers look SWEET, certainly on the list along with a slightly longer inner barrel.

I managed to sort it last night with the aid of a shim 8 had off the flashider of an M4, it's pretty sturdy now but with all the fiddling around the threads on the sling loop are mangled so I need a new one of those.

I would have left the sling loop out but without it the flashider screws on so far that the lugs touch the front sight and it looks stupid.

    Good bit.

    Mixed feelings about it however.

The stock is as solid as a rock!

All steel locking/folding mechanism and steel lining at least half the way into the very solid plastic stock so I don't see any amount of rough airsofting damaging/breaking this stock.

    Bad bit

The new outer barrel is a very poor design indeed.

The old one has a very defined cutout in the front end of the barrel itself to accommodate the front sling loop as shown below

    a2yzy5ed.jpg

Now the new outer barrel looks like this out of the box

    daga9apy.jpg

As you can see there is no cutout for the sling loop, now the flashider part can be unscrewed to make a gap for the sling loop, so I then screw in the sling loop and reattach the flashider, and now because the threads for the flashider are so loose as the top of the flashider makes contact with the sling loop the lower half is further in than the upper half and as such makes the flashider point down quite dramatically.

Currently I have it on loose to take the pics but if I want it nice and snug I'm going to have to find a way to mod it somehow.

Why the hell VFC couldn't just make it a single piece outer like the original is beyond me, but I believe its a money saving exercise as the front is steel and the rear is alloy.

  4. Asian Edition = No long/lame warning paragraph on the side of the gun.

Have any of you bought the AngryGun Power Up Silencer and is wondering if its not front heavy.

Not that it matters as that warning/copyright paragraph is removed easier than Brazil from this years World Cup.

Surely the power up silencer can't be much heavier than the VFC one, it doesn't make it front heavy, however it will make you paranoid of catching it on something and destroying the inner frame, my silencer is a shelf queen until a metal inner frame is produced.

On the subject of upgrades what do we think of these?

  5. Yes. I cant understand how people get it wrong. It is beyond simple and this is coming from a person who is very dyslexic.

On topic though, that was very rude. However in the past when I worked in bars and people rang up with a badline id hang up, its too frustrating trying to work out whats being said.

You could have used the website when home or rung at a more suitable time.

They shouldnt have been so rude but you should have rung at a better time.

It's a simple *fruitcage* mistake, my auto correct came up with both spellings and in a rush i selected the wrong one.

    SHOOT ME!!!!

  6. I've been watching his ranting and raving on FB for quite some time, Phil you are not the only one to get onto the wrong side of his awful attitude.

I brought a Scar from Milspec quite some time ago now (coincidentally the last time I've ever used Milspec) and it was "adapted" and pre fitted with an RA-tech NPAS to keep it below 350fps.

Only the "adaptation" actually further lifted the FPS rendering the NPAS useless as it actually wouldn't adjust below 340-350fps meaning that the slightest temp increase bearing in mind I brought it just before Xmas would render it useless, and due to the nature of said mod a new part would be required before I could field it

When I tried to explain that the modification that they were doing to ALL open bolt WE guns was actually wrong and was further increasing I was quite strongly told that I knew sweet FA about what I was talking about and that he would conduct his modifications as he saw fit.

I simply cut communications after that and brought a new part myself from elsewhere and rectified the issue.

Just the fact that he publicly air's his dirty laundry on social media should put most people off using him, name me one other UK based Airsoft retailer that does that?

What sort of impression does that sort of conduct give to potential new customers?

  7. Holy poops. Thats complex.

Is that a one piece plastic mechbox/barrel?

I bought the WE one, much simpler to disassemble and work on.

It may look complicated as 95% of its working/moving parts are on the outside of that inner shell, only the hammer, valve knocker and trigger spring sit inside the two halves, however it only took me 10-15 mins to get it to that state, slightly longer to reassemble as the bloody springs are a PITA to get into their right slots, one thing with taking it down to that level you just have to be methodical and lay everything out in order, keeping X spring with Y part as I think all of them are different diameters and/or lengths.

Its so easy I could have kicked myself for not doing it before L2E made his video. (big thanks for that by the way)

And yes the whole inner body and barrel/gas block is 2 piece and plastic, no biggie really as in the UK there's no need for orange tips and as such no need for retailers to glue the flashider on, so no broken shells there, I would like an aftermarket manufacturer to make at least a pot metal inner but due to the workings it would still have to be a two piece design and I don't see it happening anytime in the future because of its complexity and the guns relatively slow uptake.

Now I know how to change anything inside this baby :)

Interesting hop rubber inside mine though, seems like the nub that keeps it secure when the two halves of the hop are together has been cut off, however there is a cutout in the hop to accept that type of hop rubber.

And this is the very first time it's been completely stripped since I received it.

  9. Well I haven't seen anyone compare the two yet, but on the recoil side of things, the recoil on mine was enough to turn off two different Eotech replicas, thought I was going mad or my batteries were going flat, until I fired a 4-5 round semi burst and it just turned off, took the one off my MP5 and the same thing happened with that one...lol

Gave up in the end and used the irons through the turned off Eotech.

  10. Ahh now I think I know where you are going with this, correct me if I'm wrong.

No, on the VFC MP7, manually activating the bolt hold lever with the magazine out won't lock back your bolt.

However that I believe is down to an oversight of some sort when making the lever itself, as if you strip down the gun just to the inner shell and reinsert the bolt hold lever it does move the bolt lock on the inside perfectly well, however if you reassemble it, then it doesn't work.

But if you remove the one side of the lever and pull the rest out just past its recess and then activate the bolt hold with no mag it WILL hold the bolt rearward.

Its a simple case of the lever itself being just a touch too fat.

  11. My slide sits on the frame as tight as a ducks chuff, but mine is still probably just under 500 rounds old.

But those 500 rounds have been used to free off my slide as it point blank refused to fully return forward.

What is it with VFC and using *suitcasey* weak recoil springs, my MP7 needed a better recoil and nozzle return spring to work well, my M&P9c has a poor recoil spring and now the G19, because the slide is quite tight the recoil spring has a hard time returning the slide fully, although its freed up quite a lot now, I still want a better spring.

Out of interest I put the 150% spring and rod in from my Guarder G17 and the G19 worked a treat.

  12. Scrap that, after half a can of Colemans and racking it like I'm tommy tanking on speed for a few hours it's just about loosened up enough to return fully without getting hung up, I think a Guarder recoil spring is in order however just for that extra finishing touch.

  13. Ok then so mine arrived this very afternoon.

Liking it a lot at the moment, the external quality really is as good as I've heard.

However I'm having one small problem with it, when I fire it the slide won't fully return, it sits about 5mm from full forward, a slight nudge and its fully forward, but no matter how the slide moves be it manually or fired it will always return to that point 5mm from fully forward.

Oh and it's only with the metal barrel installed.

Anyone got any ideas, or even better had the same issue and sorted it?
