Depends on which model. CO2 holds higher pressure so there is a lot of limitation of the flow. There are still flute valves, but they are structured differently. TBH airsoft flute valves are possibly best system for blowback vs power out of the airgun systems. I have a Daisy 2003 which works like an open bolt MG.

The guys who designed it have obviously never experienced army life.
Not only does it look snaggy, it looks like a nightmare for soldiers to clean. Every crease lines can trap dirt/mud/sand. I can imagine this to be a soldiers worse nightmare, and a PITA for an NCO failing every soldier during weapons inspection.
Can you imagine the time wasted?

So, is the A&K Mk46 Actually BETTER than the original M249s? or just different parts bolted on?

All good. Also recommend a FAB Tpod and get rid of the bipod. I had the pot metal bipod mounts replaced with a steel bipod mount and the bipod wasn't hardened to take the stresses. A FAB/ACM Tpod will though.

Thought it was the same? The A&K Mk46 still uses the M249 receiver as it still uses the box mag/M16 feed mechanism. It just has extra rail, barrel and sliding stock bolted on.
One thing though, I never figured the differences in hop up performance between my A&K Para vs my friends MK1 which had a lot of hop fliers, mine is like a laser beam.

Once you know what to mod and look for its a piece of cake. It takes less time modding a VFC M4 work well than tuning a V2 meched AEG to shoot well.

Of course there are tradeoffs. I can get lots more mags per charge without the NLS than with it.

Clearly the gods are intervening, making it difficult for me to find a donor gun to make a Groza out of. Will be making a GM-94 for the meanwhile.
