  1. thats nothing really new...    as many shops will raise prices before a sale.
seems to be a standard operating procdure.
and chances are ... prices wont drop after the sale ends.  :(

But also note in some cases.... old prices are exactly that....  old.
Something that has been out of stock for months.. years... could have a sudden jump in price once restocked.

  2. meh....  the one CS with Airsoft expariance has resigned and will bail at the end of the month.
I wont go into her reasons... but its a common theme.
Anyways it may or may not revert back to bit of hit and miss with the CS after this month, pending replacement.

But still here to help if anyone needs general advice and or boots on the ground if need be.

The current CS team soon to be one less.

  3. Yeah... they currently have 3 female CS, and one is an airsofter... coming up to 1 year employed.
At least they seem content for now and not planning on leaving atm. (although... wait till march... lol)
Couple other minor discount issues laterly, but the CS seems to be on the ball and correcting issues fairly quickly.

Just keep in mind you wont get a reply out side of 9 to 6pm HK time... or on weekends and holidays.

  4. My Crew got asked to help supply some boys in kit for the Gala Premiere showing of the movie "Fury" over here... and acquired a few free bums on seats in the process.
Media was out in force with a couple dozen reporters and a unseal round of random celebrities attending... but not that I knew any of them... nor anyone here will.
but as I learned in the movie... I wonder if they can do me for a chocolate bar... lol.

This all went down in Causeway Bay which is a major shipping district, and although we weren't on the street we were very close.
But there no overly alarmed civilians... and most wanted to hold guns and take pics...

As for the movie... it had the odd hole in it, and bit limited in story, but is a true story and high in war is hell gore factor.
Type of movie that leaves the cinema in dead silence at the end.
If your a WOT fan the tactical movement and selection of tanks is a bit lean.
But I'll still give it a good 4 and a half shells out of 5.
Tracers made the movie for me and now I want to own a deuce 2... lol.

  5. the above 1911's have assassin kits installed... and shoot 1.3J...
which is a bit hot for indoor CQB.
The PX4 has a custom barrel and only shoots 1J which is an increase from the .8J stock orginal.
but generally fun.. none the less   ;)

  6. The 9558S and 9559S have returned to stock... and couple of MP versions of 9541S and 9542S have also been spotted.

Note the "S" models refer to the latest version with near 100% PTW compatibility.
These new production runs are the latest upgraded model includes a Super ECU, PTW compatible receiver, barrel, Hop-up unit and a Mini Mosfet

Super ECU is programable 2 to 30rd burst.
Mini Mosfet only 35mm in length.

    And a new G&D DTW with 10" key-mod model....  9560S

  7. yes.. air lose... cylinder or nozzle is to short.......   crewing bb's.. nozzle to long... smashes in to bb.

but not that i'm a smith... just have good smith friends. ;)

but I'm looking for MK18 mod1 replica with 9,5" RIS,

    Good luck with that...
That well run dry early this year we are awaiting a new production run.
You might be able to find one in some obscure store if your very very lucky, but it is a in high demand model,
So you may have to wait like every one else for the next production run.

    http://www.hobbyairsoft.ie
has had them in the past also, but they now waiting too...

At least the silver lining to having to wait for a new production runs, is once the model arrives, it will be the latest version with all the new upgrades and greatest compatibility yet to the PTW.

  8. Complete cylinders should have a minimal of oil coating within, but being minimal, it can dry with time,
Although could also be overlooked and a production line issue that no one would notice until it reaches end user.

Also there can be some nozzle compatibility issues as there are now PTW, DTW, CTW, ATW, and A&KTW??  ...and they are not all the same.
So the symptoms of these issues are air loss or worst case... crewing bb's.

  9. lol.... focus.... and control!

I recently fell of the wagon... and brought a new M4 body ... to have the wife busted me when I got home...  "whats that"....     "its last one....   last one"  i say...   lol.
"and it will be built most from spare parts...   so it should be considered as recycling."  lol.

    4704-13729.jpg

  10. every two years or so... they have a seriously major turn over of staff... i wont go into causes...  but they can struggle to maintain a solid CS team.
CS staff had been a max of 3 and a half... but had dropped to 0 on occasion... lol.
recently it was down to 1 again, but have hired 2 more about a month ago.
but new noob staff are generally non-airsofters and can be limited in English... and 3 of cause is still not enough.

Pending the problem of your case... I can and have in the past help other solve problems more quickly by walking in with your order number explaining the case in person, to the right person.

So by applying some screws to the appropriate middle management, one that can make them jump a little to solve issues more swiftly.

ehobyshop is in between home and work, and i go home for lunch so is easy for me to pop in with a little paperwork and say "oooi.. sort your shyt out!"  lol.

just trying to help if i can.

They are still a great range and swift delivery company, but can sadly suffer in CS.

Let me know if anyone needs help.

  11. 18 Wargame HK (Wholesaler)

ok... A brief history of myself. I have been in HK for 12 years, and running with guns... and running gun to my motherland (NZ) for 10 years.

Although I started shipping airsoft with a request from a friend for one p90, from word of mouth I was soon dealing in quantity and supplying many NZ game sites with lots of 24 semi only M4's or 36 g36c's, boxes of BB's, masks, and BDU's etc etc

Over the years I have come to learn the inside of the trade and I have been buying many models and items from a wholesaler “18 wargamehk ” common called by locals in the know... as just “18”
    http://www.18wargamehk.com/

I have always been treated fairly with local wholesale prices and help with any issues by there helpful staff.
Earlyier this year i spyed some 3 boxes stashed on a shelve out of reach with the words shotguns scribble on the side.
and due to the local "well is dry" for the tribarrel shotguns and my craving for such... i had to ask and was most elated to hear it was the new KOER tri barrel shotgun samples from the factory. I then inquied how much and could i have one for my impending birthday game the following weekend, and to my utter suprise... he just gave me one!!!
exactly why i'm unsure... maybe because they were factory samples and he not have a price yet? or maybe just for the years of custom and bring in random my customers now and again so under HK$300 is not really a big deal anyways... or maybe just for my B/d?
Anyways, hence wanting to return this general fairness and "pay it forward" present with this release of this little insider information and nice review.

Over the years I have watch 18 grow from a little wholesale toy shop, into the leading Airsoft wholesaler as they have been supplying many major local and international retailers for several years now.

So if your a retailer wanting true direct wholesale, or a game site needing supplies or even If your wanting to open a little start-up company yourself... this is the greatest place to start.

And if you not in need of a wholesaler, there facebook is a great place to see they latest items and “coming soons” before they reach the market.
    https://www.facebook.com/pages/18-Airsoft/463847467033336

Or even just as a tourist destination its quite the eye opener and a great place to start your HK Airsoft shopping spree.
Although you may be interrogated at the door, so a buenines card can be handy, and don't keep asking “how much” as that can be annoying to them, but instead just full your basket, just know the simple fact that you can't get it cheaper... anywhere! so all that really matters is do you want it or not. ;)

  12. good to hear.
they seem efficient, although it can easier to do with a smaller operation.
if only RWHK was similar.  lol
Oh and I was sad to hear.. and a little OT...  Arclight quit RWHK to go work for RWUK... then shortly afterwards go fired.
although the exact reasoning behind this is unknown... but its just very sad is all.
FYI hes probably still looking for work... lol.

good luck with a swift and uneventful journey for your order .

  13. I know nothing about the A&K PTW and was shocked... and find it very strange that it has never been for sale in HK.
    with one exception...

    http://asiarsoft.com/index.php?8bdab82d615c1fe5d67ac55057924058=01

they sell Ario, and Celcius... and A&K,

yet the a&K model has never shown up in any other of the 100's of HK retailers.  ??
and its very funny how they core AEG's are china made....  yet they don't sell the DTW's .. ??

so seems like something very fishy could be going on there.

and the Ario arms are... were... just part timers i think, upgrading DTW's with CTW parts.  I think.

i keep reading how the A&K's were released in April... but i have to ask... WTF are they?
Half a dozen pieces scattered though a few retailers i would not consider a release.

maybe further productions are coming... maybe not.
but until someone has something "official" to announce... it could be just assumptions and guess work

and as for the smaller mostfet... testing went very well... and there are also actually discussions to have the Korean mosfet installed at the DTW factory for future models.
    fingers crossed on that one.

  14. the upper one was not the original mosfet. but was the goal.

Looks slightly bigger than the upper one, is it superior to the former? or just a rounded redesign?

this below picture is the original dtw mosfet next to the new one.
and the rounded outer case is apparently  just temp till an alternative can be considered.

    aczqghHY.jpg

and once installed... with battery.   =)

    abw8xgih.jpg

I volunteered my DTW for testing... lol.
put 20 rounds through it last night and SECU was still programmable.

will put 200 rds through it today ;)
