  1. there could be several issues causing this result... and they could be as simple as new noob staff, or staff on holiday/sick.
TMC is a good store and they wont deliberately keep half your shotgun for no reason... so should be just a communication problem.

chances are they have already posted it.

just keep trying to contact them asking for the sending and tracking number of your second half of the shotgun.

generally stores wont like threats of... "'if you don't do what i want... i'll make a paypal dispute / post in all forums a bad review" as it can be considered blackmail / extortion.
paypal dispute should be a last resort...with no communication or they are obviously ripping you off.
and your have 45 days of the payment to make a paypal dispute if this is only option.

good luck and I wish your package a swift and uneventful journey.

  2. i have access to a few....  and a small care package could be arranged.
how many would you want?   5? 10... 20?   lol
And registered air mail should be most economical.

and silencers for the R2 and a few other spare parts are now available.... :bounce:

  3. oh..shyt may have spoken to soon.  sounds like you have been given an older model DTW.
i'm not aware of any MAX3 DTW's in the old brown box packaging. should all be in the new brightly co loured boxes

the outer size of the inner barrel of a MAX3 DTW should be about 10mm same as a PTW.
he older models of DTW would have a standard 8mm outter size of the inner barrel same as a AEG.

    new_Pic_18.jpg

also the o-ring that used to just sit on the inner barrel on the old DTW.... in the new MAX3 DTW now has a groove to sit in so doesn't move when you pull the barrel in and out.

    new_Pic_12.jpg

and the MAX3 models all have a programmable super ECU for multi round burst.
which is also now given away with any old DTW sold.

seems you may have received a bit of a bum deal.  :(

    3110-7407.jpg

  4. lol... they send you AEG mags ?
its in the new coloured box yes ?
and there is a red safety warning sticker on top of the gear box?

also you can get a magnet... and test the steel end cap....  and inner barrel...outtersize  should be PTW size...  not AEG size.

    edit...

i just checked the M16 Max3 i have on hand and its 950027 something something...  so the above 95003500's intell must be off a little.
yours should be legit.  only the worst type of retailer would do a switcharoo.

  5. better to ask a silly question than to make a silly mistake.

the DTW MAX3 all come have rails sets installed... so no need to install others... and rails standard airsoft 20mm wide.
although if you want to change rail sets... i'm sorry I'm unsure what would fit.  as i've not ventured that far yet.

  6. I can has see me?

I rarely use my ghille now.... its rather good... colour wise and if you don't move.
and i find its a bit of a hack... so try to handicap myself a bit now.

I have even been up a tree... maybe 3 metres of the ground.... and had 2 opfors come crawling only the path under the tree and sit maybe 5 metres away from me.... for 5 minutes... before one finally raises a gun to shoot some one else, and i shot them both... totally freaking them out as i was in a 45deg angle above and in front of them.
I could have easily dribbled a luggy... and swung it at them... lol

  7. You guys need to understand that I'm not knocking TW's, however, in this review section, people have a right to know or see real user feedback. I understand that your experience (thus far) may be super, and I'm not trying to take that away from you, however, potential buyers need to see that there is another side to the story, which isn't so bright.

yes...  but you also need to consider.... that 100's have been sold.... but you will only hear mostly from the complaints...

90 Owners that have no issue and problems would never need read a review or comment on the review of the model.

So the other side of the story would always be lop-sided.

Especially if old points are repeated,... and by those that don't or have never own the item under review.  lol.

its just like any thing...  one pubic hair in the soup...of a critic... from when the dishwasher had just one little pull in the walk in freezer... could ruin the reputation of a fantastic restaurant for life... even after Ramsay has done his kitchen nightmare.. .  lol

ok maybe thats not a good example.

uumm... and yes history should be well written... but do we still blame modern Germans for the war?

ok i've lost the plot. lol

    and back on topic...

Opened up the DTW MAX3 last night and found a little surprise...  the Selector plate is now metal!

    adfUxQwe.jpg

so that would have to be a tick in the "fixed it" box for the DTW.

now if only we can get them as a spare part.

But will add it to the list.  ;)

1, smaller mosfets, (under construction apparently)

2, upper receiver comparable with original early model DTW's ( just a few for those that want 2 in 1 set-ups)

    3, Rotary hop up system.

4, ECU programmable to semi only (for the few countries where this is law)

5, metal selector plate ( as a spare part for older models )

  8. thats great!... i wish retailers over here could do similar.
sadly unless your getting mates rates....   once you have tested your model and walk out the door... all warranty is lost.

even if the manufacturers ofter a warranty... the retailers here don't give a toss... as they will blame you for the damage.

but out side of the g&g models on warranty, i was referring to the difference between repairing an aeg, and repairing a DTW, is not as extreme as some might make out.
    http://www.airsoftglobal.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=570_572&products_id=16359

i guess more so for the mechanical parts over the electrical... which can't really be compared.

i suppose I should read up on possible issues my DTW might incur.
then again.... I'm a "if its not broken don't fix it" type of guy... so guess will face those hurdles if or when they arise.   ;)

  9. well thats just great.  where does one get such a free upgrades warranty?

sadly there are no such warranties over here.

but if... and when i need a new DTW motor.... luckily i will only be paying about HK$400... which is about 33q.

so i guess location is quite relevant in these matters.

  10.

Now, should your standard AEG fail, it will likely cost you pennies to get it running again....it's as simple as that. It's not a financial killer,

and come on now... will have to call boll...  ocks on that one.

how many "pennies" it cost you last time you fixed an AEG?

what monkey you payin peanuts too skillfully repair it?    lol.

  11. you will find DTW spare parts are equal prices to AEG spare parts.

although could be a case of... thats over here... and not over there.

Also i wasn't aware of the "waterproofing of the electrics"... was required.
but we do have hot wet summers here.... and mostly play indoors..... and dry winters... when we play mostly outdoors.
so waterproofing may never be an issue here... or for some locations.. like California for example.

And forgive me as i'm new to DTW's and can only comment on my own experiences.

  12. no...  i don't see TW as any more prone to failure then a AEG. if not alot less than.

GBBR yes...  is high maintenance and high costs.... and i own nothing larger than a KC-02,
but have seen many of my friends get into GBBR's only to give up on them later to return to AEG's

I now actually see TW are now better than AEG's.... and i've yet to see a TW fail in any way shape or form.
where as i've busted plenty of aeg pistons and gears over the years.

although my DTW is still only a few months old and half a dozen outings... i have no issues to complain about.
only thing thats caught me out as i'm so used to AEG's is the stoppage on a empty mag makes me think somethings wrong... when its only a empty mag... lol.
but i will get used to that with time.

and so now with the new low pricing of the DTW's.... TW FTW... in my book.

  13. BTW, anybody knows is someone is going to clone the rotatory hop chamber which can be adjusted withouttools or taking the mag out?

I'm aware of some Koreans have currently been working on it...

    acrzcFiE.jpg

I was promised one this month.... but never arrived.... yet.  =/

    adchMqZO.jpg

And i'm told its a clone of a Swedish design.

    acdLzRe2.jpg

one can only hope something is available commercially soon.... as i do want.

BTW, are there instructions out there how to program burst mode on these MAX3 DTWs? 5 round burst would be ideal.

should be the same as the SECU sold separately.

    wait for the beep...   ;)

actually i do have a little line of communication with G&D....

we should make a wish list.  ;)

1, smaller mosfets, (under construction apparently)

2, upper receiver compatable with original DTW's

    3, Rotary hop up system.

4, ECU programmable to semi only (for the few countries where this is law)

    anything else ?

    ;)

  14. i have 5 on hand... sadly none are mine,...
well, one will be mine tonight... for a very limited time... as i will covert to semi only to ship to NZ in the morning. ;)
But nor do i have a systema body to compare with.

Although the manufacturer are pushing the upgraded facts... so i would think they would have tested it before making such a claim.
Also, G&D have release a DTW Body for sale which i was keen on my self, to make a sniper upper for my CQB M4,... until i was told its a "new" body is for the "new PTW compatible" models. EG: Pin holes have been moved, which would not fit my old original early model DTW. So i would have to buy 2 bodies to make a quick change upper.

Airsoft Murphy's law at its finest. =/

in hindsight i wish i had waited for these newer models,...although this isn't a problem that can't be overcome, (anyone have a spare DTW upper they not want? lol)

nether the less....  this at least shows the G&D are working on improvements and upgrades to improve there models.
and this latest models (with everything now being compatable) seem to be a great step in the right direction.

  16. And yes, ehobby had their information messed up, AIRO receivers are metal.

They have a 12 year old non-airsofter with very poor english for a uploader.... :D

So theres alot of cut and paste going on... And no one fact checking

But one can only blame the quality of management.

    Expect more of the same.

    Posted 27 July 2013 - 01:16 AM

the AIRO is just a DTW upgraded with CTW parts..

Comes in a DTW box with stickers removed and little Airo sticker added. lol.

And if i had know that i may have got the Airo instead.

but with that said i'm still very happy with my DTW, and have yet to have any major issues with it.

I don't know why would you say that because:

    1. The AIRO box internal padding design is not the same as of DTW box.

    2. AIRO receivers do not fit DTW receivers (not to mention different quality/weight/colour).

    3. Every AIRO furniture (not only plastic parts, but the metal parts like carry handle and buffer tube) is not the same as DTW.

    4. The flash-hider barrel threading on AIRO is different from DTW (DTW I think is standard AEG and AIRO is PTW/milspec).

    5. As you said yourself, the electronics are different.

So from my experience, AIRO is NOT the DTW stuffed with CTW electronics.

i wouldn't have said it...   if there wasn't some form of facts involed.

I brought a DTW one week...  a friend brought the Airo a week later... the packaging and polystyrene is exactly the same!

minius the stickers... and the flappy card cover over the DTW polystyrene.

note the removed stickers from the end of the Airo box...

    th_072649521_Airo02_resize_122_379lo.jpg

    and the top...

      th_072644736_Airo01_resize_122_198lo.jpg

the stickers are removed... in extactly they same size shape and location... as on a DTW box.

    th_072670214_AiroDTW_resize_122_384lo.jp

And Note the front peice of polystyrene of the Airo model.

    th_072653450_Airo04_resize_122_17lo.jpg

    th_072661456_Airo06_resize_122_33lo.jpg

    and the DTW polystyrene...

    th_072674160_AiroDTW2_resize_122_209lo.j

The rear polystyene was also exactlly same.

And 1 + 1 is still 2 in my book...

Also note the marks on the outter barrel above where the front sight has been removed / re-installed.

So why would one company recycle another companies packaging?

That just doesnn't happen.... unless... is a pure "re-label" or upgraded model.

Although i'm unsure what remains of the orginal DTW, or maybe its some manufactureing arangement and they both are from one factory.

Maybe the one above is a early / older model... and maybe you have received yours in differant packageing.... but the above wouldn't happen even just once... without some form of connection.

    B)

  18. Shipping can be handed off to other parties, and its not always at the sellers knowlage as they can always be aware / specify whom is the final deleivery company is in a distant land.

I have friends in Airsoft Global so will inquire of there knowlage or reasoning for this alturnitive deleivery company.

Also have firends in Ehoby and aware of a recent staff exodus of 8 staff in 7 weeks.
So would be nice to hear Squad 701 horry-story and weather that has changed anything.
