In my opinion TM's quality control is outstanding, but I don't think they are worth the horrid prices you pay for their guns and a custom build can easily beat a TM when done right. Still, I'm loving my TM 5-7 (gas noob).

I assume you are talking AEGs here? In which cases it can but for pistols it is very hard to go wrong with a TM . Most people though want OOTB reliable and TM just gives that, at friendly FPS levels.
