Hollowing out the L1A1 buttstock was a pain in the @$$, especially without the right tools but I managed.

I remember trying to just fit East German fantastic plastic handguards to one of my rifles, using only a multi-tool blade. Fun times. I was going to try doing the same with a stock, but fortunately for my hands I lack a receiver to fit it to.

If I had to choose a full sized airsoft G3, which one and why?

don't really have much choice do you? I almost bought one a while back - I'd go with the Classic Army. Full metal, very solid especially if you can find an older one with the thick steel body. It's an AEG so you can make it shoot well whatever the case.

I hope the A&K SR25 midcaps fit into my CA-25 because I can't be bothered to pay 30 bucks for a CA midcap.

A&K mags are a tight fit and I had to remove some material on the trigger guard (custom one, back of the magazine was rubbing on it), but they feed fine. They also become easier to reload after some mag changes.

The ARES/S&T G36 gearbox is a pain in the *albatross* but I finally finished upgrading it. The ICS V3 GB I'm working on right now is a breeze compared to that st00pid piece of propietary junk.

Oh Classic Army and their SR-25. They put the pin into the receiver to prevent fullauto but used a fire selector that bypasses it.
