  1. Assuming that this is what you're talking about, how do they compare to the ACM PSO-1s? Also, do you have any idea what this is?
  2. Does anyone know anything about airgun valve design?

Depends on which model. CO2 holds higher pressure so there is a lot of limitation of the flow. There are still flute valves, but they are structured differently. TBH airsoft flute valves are possibly best system for blowback vs power out of the airgun systems. I have a Daisy 2003 which works like an open bolt MG.

They are vastly different from the GAMO blowback pistols vs the Umarex PPKs

  3. Thanks for the review! In sum total - would you recommend it? How about over the clone MRO? I'm looking for something to put on my Scorpion EVO, and that looks a bit different.
  4. Finally gotten around to taking some photos of my loaner loadout. ForceCore (E&L) AKS-74UN with Stormwerkz Krinkov rail mount and 'Aimpoint' Micro T1. The loadout - five magazines, a ChiCom rig, a radio, goggles and a mesh mask - fits neatly into the TMC Flatpack.
  5. They certainly do some customisation (I had the CO2 cut done on mine after assembly, for a start) so you might be able to persuade them to do that. I'd try getting in contact via Facebook; they're very responsive.
  6. Heavy metal - two full steel 1911s at different ends of the price/era spectra. Apologies in advance for the usual terrible phone photos... The first is my new second-generation Mafioso Kimber LAPD SWAT II. This is a full billet-CNC'd gun with the Nova 'advanced'-style monocoque frame, modified upon request to accept CO2 magazines. It's wonderful in every way, and so it should be at about $1,200. The only issue is a weak recoil spring, presumably installed for use with green gas. Since I will be using CO2 exclusively this'll be swapped out soon. The second is a second-generation
  7. Forgive my ignorance, but what matches will this be used in?
  8. I'm really looking forward to that (contemplating a V1911 myself) and also really liking these .gif previews - very cool indeed. [EDIT]Having watched the video - which is neat, thanks - I'm looking at the hole in the rear of the V1911 where a pressure switch might be attached. What sort of pressure switch might one use? And does anyone have a guide to doing so? It looks like there used to be one on Arnie's, but it's long gone... Also, you say the LED isn't great. Can it be replaced? And if so, does a drop-in LED module fit?[/EDIT]
  9. Appalling phone photography and Tapatalk post, but the UZI’s now got its rail system. This is FAB Defense’s UTR-M, with all-MagPul furniture and a clone SureFire Scout M300 Mini. The Offset Light Mount is set back to stop the torch overhanging the muzzle, necessitating some filing on the XTM ahead of it to get it to fit. Next up will be cutting down the Guarder steel outer barrel from carbine-length to SMG (replacing the non-ferrous factory barrel), fitting an optics rail to the spare top cover, and CeraKote. Then sourcing another three V1 magazines and fitting them with the hopef
  10. Well, blobface and I just picked up one of these each for a fairly generous €339 per gun. That's cheap - in fact it's only about 15% more than a Stark Arms Glock 17 Premium, which is (as far as I know) the cheapest steel pistol on the market. For the equivalent of $400 - or about the cost of a TM, an aluminium Guarder kit and a few upgrades - I'm pretty impressed. The only major issues are a comically loose grip safety and the hideous factory magazine, which I'll be substituting for KJW examples as soon as I can figure out how.
  11. Cesare, comparing the Mafioso and RA-Tech pistols, which do you think is better made and finished?
  12. It's an Ares, according to Reddit.
  13. Is that the Ready Fighter Sharps receiver? How did you find the fit/finish on the GHK bits?
  14. Is that the Stormwerkz on the AKS-74UN? If so, nice, that's the only one I've seen other than mine!
  15. WTB: Aimpoint CompM3. Anyone?

Dunno, depends on the condition and the mount. What're you asking? PM?

  16. I want to buy a T1/H1 clone, but I want it with Aimpoint trademarks. Recommendations?

I've found these quite hard to recommend in the past as due to their nature, OEMs are somewhat fluid. So you may end up with a different sight than you thought.

Cheers. I've grabbed the cheapest one I could find on AliBaba, and I guess we'll see how it goes!

  17. Google Translate renders the following worrying transcript: "[Power] air shotgun test fire through the aluminum plate is sufficient to burst pig [...] This is what the brain can not say that idiot idiot knowledge? [...] The police fight the prostitutes." I think we need expert assistance.
  18. Thinking about making a cross between a VTAC and a VCAS. Does anyone have an ALICE strap adjuster/buckle to sell? https://goo.gl/IucdPs

  19. Wouldn't it make more sense to just pick up the MGC? Especially since Octagon started making metal slides for them...
  20. Surely gold-plating it would preserve the finish and remove the need to keep polishing it?
  21. You weren't - you can see what GRIM!'s had to do to his GHK to get the dustcover to fit in this post. If I had to guess I would say that the rear trunnion has been cut back to allow the dust cover to sit further forward - the lower receiver is about 5mm longer on TM AEG-spec AKs (which the GHKs are, as are virtually all other airsoft AKs except RealSword's and possibly WE's GBBR) than on the real thing which means the dust cover doesn't sit right.
  22. Apparently the drum magazine is to be released today.
