DragonRed EOTech 552 Replica & Element Lens Protector
tome replied to Jin15's topic in Tactical Equipment and Accessories
Damn man. Keep us posted on how it goes. If it's any consolation the OP got his money back when the same fault happened to his. He even got the original postage refunded, though he did still have to pay for the return postage. -

Had you adjusted the sight before or was it the first time? I turned the adjustment screws a little bit and they didn't break but I'm getting worried about my one now!!! -
I'm guessing he VTB is disappointed by the efficiency of the system rather than the max power. As he said, he was expecting more fps for a given PSI These look very interesting compared to my AEGS !! EDIT: Ah... doh! VTB replied while i was typing and it looks like he was looking for more outright power the kind that corrupts hehe

Just had a play around with the protector that comes with this and in my opinion is not that great. When you look through it, what you see looks like you're looking through rising heat. So everything goes a bit wiggly I'm going to cut my own out of polycarb i think. -

I just put some wd40 on the screw thread and it seems to have solved the problem. It was probably a bit of oxide in the thread that stopped it turning properly. Lucky me i guess...... I'll take it out with me next time i skirmish and see how it goes -

Jin - No worries man the shiny outer can hid the turd inside from any of us hehe Let us know what happens on the refund. I've just asked for a replacement for mine, but i think i'll just get a refund as is seems mine is not the only one with a fault. I'll keep you posted on what happens with it Edit: Interestingly my one seems to be a slightly different version as it doesn't have the space in "Enforcement" but is otherwise the same! -

So..... after reading this reviews and all the endorsements by other board members i bought one and it arrived today. I don't think mine is working properly so i've got a few questions i hope you guys can help me out with. 1) Is the red reticle significantly less bright than the green one? 2) Are there really 20 brightness levels? The one i received looks exactly the same as the one in this review. There are problems however. Using fresh batteries the red reticle is not anywhere near bright enough to use in bright sunlight and the green one is just about bright enough. In fa -
Thanks for the review how's the brightness? Good enough to see clearly when doing urban outdoors on a sunny day?

Something a little different To whomever asked about the Larue 7.0. I can fit my star M6 onto the rail no problem. The first segments aren't cut properly so you'll have to do a bit of filing to get RIS covers to stay on

Better be quick matey opticsplanet have a special on ex demo ones right now. It's a bugger they won't export them (otherwise i would have one myself) becuase you're supposedly not allowed to export optics http://www.opticsplanet.net/atncultrasight.html

I'm imagining the talk of mosfets is referring to pre built units which are quite large, Especially the Active braking ones. There is certainly no space for that inside the gearbox Excellent review far-east. I'll be sure to get ones of these soon!!

ORH's Massive Review-a-Palooza

Bummer Maybe i should pick up a G.7 and gut it for parts if my TM starts acting funny. Thanks for the tip. -
ORH's Massive Review-a-Palooza
tome replied to otherrandomhero's topic in Tactical Equipment and Accessories
It most likely will if the G.7 can take the well battery. The clone battery is a little shorter than the TM batt, so all you have to do is shave a bit off the to prongs on the back of the battery cover until it clicks in place I have both the well and the TM and the Well batt fits in the TM but would only work if i pushed it in with my finger rather than just the battery cover. The TM batt would slide into the Well but the cover wouldn't close Thank for the review of the MP7s ORH. Though i do feel you're a little over-enthusiastic when it comes to clone MP7s I'd agree though that the l -
Oh how clever of them...... make a captive market for replacement piston looks like everyone's been suXXored!

Thanks buddy, I agree about the coating. Every other reddot i've used has a red reflective coat to reflect the red LED making everything look blue through it. I have modded the battery compartment in my one to take 6 batts instead of 4 and it seems to have improved it a little though the mod is very "ghetto" haha. I just took some needle nose pliers and twisted off the spacers at the bottom of the compartment. If you're tempted to try, you can hold the case closed with 6 batts before modding to see if you think it helps

I don't know if the one i have (Xinde Optics) is the same as these since i got it from somewhere else, but i find the reticule far too dim to use in daylight conditions in urban outdoors. I haven't tried woodland outdoors yet though. How would you rate the brightness of this one?
-
Just hand wash in cold water with some natural soap. It's your airsoft gear anyway so it doesn't really have to smell of roses

If you're feeling flush consider the Tanio Koba USP tactical with OD frame as they say on the internet - looks teh sechs http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=e...2006-15,GGLG:en EDIT: Ah.... it's sold out
-
That's a really good point! I hadn't noticed that one was MH and the other was Cd. The gearbox does have some shims in it but not nearly enough to stop the gears moving along their axis. The hop does improve the flatness trajectory on mine too, but if you compare it to a "proper" hop, it's somewhat lacking considering a proper hop can make your bb go skyward! Bizarrely on my Well the TM stock will not work correctly in it
-
I've had a go at putting the TM front end on the Well. It fits and seems to lock but if you pull on it it just come straight off So modding the Well front end it is then hehe
-
I don't know if the TM front end would work on the Well but it certainly does the other way around. If i was to guess i would put money on it working. Unfortunately i'm out of town for the next few days so won't be able to test it for you
-
I have both the TM and the Well now and comparing the front part that holds the battery in, the two tabs that push on the battery are longer in the Well than the TM. As an experiment i put the Well battery in the TM MP7 and it would only work using the well front end So....... solution would probably be to cut down the two tabs on the front part and then use a spacer when you need to use the original R-4 battery. On a side note,.... my TM highcap that refuses to work in my TM MP7 works perfectly on the R-4!!

That's what i mean As has been said above the stock screw threads into the adaptor rather than the gearbox as in TM. I'd imagine that FarEast got confused because the folding stock edition doesn't have this "standard" stock adaptor. Though the person who took the picture has put the screw into it from the wrong side!!! (I know it's not you Reptile hehe)
-
From my experience, you can attach a marui compatible stock tube with a shorter screw so that it won't intefere with the upper gearbox. It requires a bit of filing of the part that the stock tube fits onto but it's entirely possible

Not being difficult but they don't look drastically different. http://www.modelsale.com/modelsale/shopimg/MA17990.gif especially compared to the turbo 2000. Do you have forum confirmation of this?
